AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It is Wednesday and this week Dynamite is at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, TX. The commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Taz, and Excalibur. 

Jon Moxley vs Dax Harwood

They lock up collar and elbow and go into the corner and break quickly. Mox flips a double bird. Dax does the same and they lock up and Mox forces them to the corner. Mox gives Dax a smooch on the cheek as they break. Dax gives Mox a smooch as well and then lays in chops and beats him down in the corner. Mox reverses and it becomes a double chop fest moving to blows.

Dax beats Mox down in the corner. Mox reverses again and does the same to Dax. They run the ropes. Dax gets a shoulder tackle and Mox gets a bulldog choke. Dax turns it into a pin for two. Mox knocks Dax to the floor and they brawl around the ring. Mox hits a catapult into the ringpost on the outside. Mox rolls him into the ring and follows. Mox gets a series of blows in the corner, but Dax picks him up and hits a Liger Bomb for two.

Mox and Dax go into the ropes and then tumble to the floor as we go to picture in picture.  When they return to full screen, Mox and Dax are chopping the hell out of each other in the middle of the ring. They move to slaps until they both drop to the mat. When they get up, they fight on the top turnbuckle and Dax takes a series of blows from Mxo and doesn’t drop until Mox finally gets a forearm. 

Mox gets back up and gets a superplex. They get to hands and knees and headbutt each other, fighting to their feet. Mox gets a King Kong lariat, but Mox doesn’t go down. Dax gets his own lariat and then locks on a sharpshooter. We atre told 5 minutes remain and Mox kicks his way free and then stomps Dax’ head in and tries for the arm bar.

They get to their feet when Dax breaks free. Dax sets for a pile driver and Mox gets a back body drop. Dax gets a rollup, but they get to their feet without a count. Dax gets a pile driver for two. Mox goes to the floor and Dax follows. They return to the ring and Mox gets a cutter and a curb stomp. Mox gets a pile driver for two. Mox runs into a punch and Dax gets a brain buster for two. 

Dax goes to the top and leaps into a rear naked choke from Mox. Dax eventually has to tap out.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Mox refuses to let go, and Cash shows and beats the hell out of Mox. Claudio then enters the ring and attacks Cash. Mox and Claudio then both choke out Dax and Cash before they leave.

In the back, Don Callis is with Renee Paquette, and he says they are a victim of his own success and no one wants to fight them. So, Konosuke Takeshita will fight Will Ospreay.

Wardlow vs The Already In The Ring Barrett Brown 

Adam Cole joins commentary.

Wardlow takes out Brown with a big knee as Brown is draped across the top turnbuckle. Power bomb, pin. Thanks for coming.

Winner: Wardlow

Matthew and Nicholas are shown landing in their private jet, still in their bloodstained suits for tonight’s match.

Adam Copeland vs Daniel Garcia and the winner gets a TNT championship match

Matt Menard joins commentary. 

Adam attacks with shots and knees, and then tosses Garcia to the corner for a beat down. He whips Garcia to the mat and tries to grab a choke. Garcia tries for an ankle lock, but Adam gets to the ropes. They run the tropes and Adam gets a shoulder tackle. Garcia tries for a trip, but Adam hits a splash for two. Adam grabs a side headlock and Garrcia fights free and grabs a headlock of his own. Adam gets free and they run the ropes. Garcia gets a quick takedown for two and then grabs a surfboard knee stomp. 

They fight in the corner and Garcia leaps into a shoulder breaker by Adam. 

Super fast paced match and Adam is a bit winded. 

Adam whips Garcia into the corner hard as we go picture in picture. When we return to full screen, Adam goes to the top and Garcia meets him there. Adam drops off the top and snaps Garcoia’s arm on the top rope. Adam goes to the top and Garcia knocks his leg out from under him. Garcia gets a Dragon Screw off the top. Garcia throws haymakers and then stomps Adam down in the corner. Garcia gets a running bootwash and then goes for a suplex, but Adam blocks it. Garcia gets a dragon screw.

Garcia works over Adam’s leg and Adam grabs an arm bar. Garcia reverses it into a STF. Adam turns it into a side headlock and they work to their feet, firing shots back and forth. Garcia gets another dragon screw as Adam was punching him. Garcia goes to the top and Adam meets him there. They throw hands on the top and Adam gets an avalanche impaler. Both men are down and struggle to get up. 

Adam tries for a spear, but Garcia kicks him as he comes in and gets a jack knife pin for two. Adam locks in a choke, and Killswitch and Nick Wayne hit the ring.

No Contest

Christian Cage and Momma Wayne come to the ring as Garcia is being beaten down. Cage pulls out a pair of chairs, but Matt Menard grabs on. Killswitch nails Menard from behind and the chairs are slid into the ring. Garcia is set up for the con-chair-to and Adam comes into the ring with a chair and takes out Nick And Killswitch. Cage cowers in the corner and Momma Wayne hits Adam with a low blow. 

They all set up Adam with a con-chair-to. Cage nails it on Adam and they stand over him, belt high in the air. 

admonishes Nicholas, Matthew gets a low blow and Nicholas is tagged in. Darius takes an EVP trigger for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Tony Schaivone gets into the ring to interview the Bucks. Matthew says they are the top tag team in AEW. Tony sayus Sting isn’t here because of their despicable, heinous acts.  Matthew says that Tony bad mouthing them may be a breach of contract. Nichols says it is a $1000 fine. He then knocks Tony down asking if he has a problem with that. Matthew apologizes for his brother and start to help Tony up,  but then they hold him in the EVP trigger position.  Darby Allin runs to the ring with Sting’s bat to drive them off.

Darby says they were supposed to change the world. He says they didn’t hire him, but some other EVP with brains hired him and it wasn’t Kenny Omega. He then talks about how all of the Bucks' friends get jobs and they aren’t trying to change the world any more. He then says that if they want to face Sting, Sting has nothing left to lose. He says the match at Revolution is set. 

Rnee is with the Bang Bang Scissor gang, and Jay White says everything is going great and everyone has gold.  And there will be a 12 man tag on Rampage.

And I have to cover it. 

Willow Nightingale vs Skye Blue

Stokely Hathway joins commentary

Blue goes at Willow with kicks and strikes. Willow records with a scoop slam for two. Willow tries again and Blue escapes out the back and Willow is able to grab her and slam from her back. Blue slaps Willow and Willow introduces Blue to three turnbuckles before Bleu bails to the floor. When they return to the ring, Willow pounces Blue out of the ring as we go to picture in picture.

When we  return to full screen, Willow and Blue are throwing hands in the middle of the ring and Willow clotheslines Blue down. She then hits a hip attack and a clothesline. Willow hits a spinebuster for two. Blue gets a face buster and a kick for two. Blue tries for a full nelson and then climbs onto Willow’s back. Willow backs into the turnbuckle to knock her off. They fight in the corner and Willow knocks Blue off the apron. 

Willow tosses Blue into the ring and then puts her on top. Blue tries to fight free and is able to escape and get a kick, follows with a doctor bomb for two. Hathaway gets on the apron and Blue gets the code blue for two, but held for much longer while the ref was distracted. Willow is able to get the power bomb for the pin and the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Weird match with Willow kind of cheating to win. Not in character for her at all. 

Orange Cassidy (AEW International Champion) vs Matt Taven in a Texas Death Match because of course it is.

They start with brawling and then running the ropes. Taven hits an insigiri and a blue thunder bomb. They move to the outside and Taven whips Cassidy around the ring. Cassidy is able to reverse when Taven tries to send him into the steel steps. They fight into the crowd as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Taven leaps off the stage onto Cassidy, who was on a table on the floor. Taven sets the table against the stage and then suplexes Cassidy into it. Cassidy looks busted open, and beats the ten count. Taven gets the running knee strike on the stage. Cassidy is rolled into the ring and Taven hits a back breaker followed by a DDT. Taven goes under the ring and pulls out a table. He props it against the announcer’s table and Cassidy hits him with a dive.

Taven is rolled into the ring and Taven comes off the second turnbuckle with a kick. Taven dives at Cassidy, but Cassidy dodges and Taven goes through the table. Taven is up at 8. Cassidy pulls out a box from Chuck Taylor and inside is thumbtacks. Cassidy pulls Taven into the ring and pulls him to the top. Cassidy is shoved into the thumbtacks and goes for a frog splash. Cassidy dodges and then DDTs Taven onto the thumb tacks. Casdidy rolls out of the ring. 

Cassidy pulls out a chair and another box. Bennett attacks Cassidy on the floor and rolls Cassidy into the ring. Bennett gets chairs from under the ring and slides them into the ring. Trent Beretta comes to the ring with a lead pipe and goes after Beretta. Taven drops Beretta on a chair. Cassidy hits an orange punch on Taven and then hits a beach break on a chair. Cassidy hits another orange punch and Roderick Strong gets in the ring. 

Strong goes for a kick but Beretta gets in the way and takes the kick of Cassidy. Cassidy tossed Strong from the ring and Taven is counted out. 

Winner and still AEW International Champion: Orange Cassidy
