ACTION Wrestling “Dead or Alive”

2/9/24 Tyrone, GA

Match 1: Suge D (w/ Kasey Owens & Kevin Ryan) vs Matt Sells (w/ Jaden Sells)

Suge just asks Sells to come out and be a sacrificial lamb to the Good Hand. Sells hits the ring and just attacks hard. Huge spear from Sells and he pummels Suge around the ringside area. Sells gives Suge the ol’ head humper into the apron. Both good hands guys and Jaden are taking shots from the outside. Suge send him to the post, hard knees to the gut. Great body toss for two. Kevin Ryan trying to get involved but Jaden’s outta nowhere! Suge almost steals the rollup. Sells BLASTS the palm strike and gets a clean three on Suge D! Wild chaotic opener. Very much a Good Hand clusterfight in the best possible way. Suge is completely flustered and doesn’t realize he lost.

Winner: Matt Sells

Kevin Ryan is hiding at ringside and Brontz, the son of CEO Matt Griffin, yells at him and lays in a few shots to drive him off. Brontz is like….8? Point is, Kevin Ryan got beat up by a child. Hook ain’t got nothing on Brontz.

Match 2: Dex Royal vs Bobby Flaco

Dylan Hales calls Flaco “ACTION’s gatekeeper” and he reaaaalllllllly is. Dex having a hard time to start this off. Bob’s here and he’s not going easy. Flaco is out-sized in this competition though and Royal starts to use that one advantage. Bob taking taunting boots to the head. He warns Dex to not take him lightly…and he unloads on Royal. Wheelbarrow into a ddt. Tornado ddt! Dex kicks out! Flying knee to the floor! The crowd is pumped for BOB. He comes flying one time too many and Dex BLASTS a knee to the jaw. Huge suplex. Huge flurry of shots ending in a hard lariat. He should have hooked the leg. It was too confident…..and Dex is taking too much time arguing with the ref. And when Bobby flies off the top with cutter, the end is a surprise to no one.

WInner: Bobby Flaco

Match 3: TJ Crawford vs Adam Priest

In a way, this is a bit of a Northeast/Southeast mirror match. Adam Priest may have that “Any Style” moniker but TJ had been proving for the last few years that he also embodies that workmate. Also both guys have a similar level of slow moving brutality and explosive shots. TJ drives Priest to the ropes early….he pats the former ACTION champ on the head, that was a mistake. TJ starting to eat a beating. Snap suplexes and stomps. TJ kicks the rope into Priest’s throat to change it up. TJ working the shoulder but Priest reverses the momentum to a figure four. they both rolls to the ropes….TJ feigns his knee being hurt and jacks the arm of Adam into the ropes. Great high angle vertical toss for two! TJ throwing some hard kicks but his knee may actually be a target at this point. Headbutts and hard whips. Double knees to the back and a hangman’s cutter for two! The crowd is NOT HAPPY with TJ’s attitude. Priest ducks the spinning heel kick….leg trap piledriver! TJ kicks out, this is good. TJ with a knee to the jaw. Snap dragon! He goes for the kill shot but Priest quickly blasts that short ddt for the win. Hell yea. This ruled.

Winner: Adam Priest

Adam Priest on the mic. He talks about how he intends to be the first 3-time ACTION champion. But he can’t stop thinking about how he lost to Krule a couple weeks ago. He wants to take care of Krule. He promises to die trying. He asks Matt Griffin for another shot at the IWTV champion. Matt says he will make it happen…SOON.

Dylan Hales says they have a talent announcement for the upcoming April 26th show…..MUSTAFA ALI will be making his ACTION debut!

Back in the ring, it’s time for the Ashton Starr Petty Party. His assistant Zamir is here too. He speaks French. Starr brings out his friend and former tag partner Rico Gonzalez for this little interview segment. Starr wants to let Rico speak his piece. Rico is confused how Starr was his partner and now Zamir is here? Starr is a little….off…in his explanation….but he tries to bait Rico in with rejoining the tag team. Rico just wants to know where the HELL Starr has been. Starr hasn’t been traveling and on vacation from ACTION….a year ago, he got FIRED. Rico didn’t flounder tho…..Last year was Rico’s year. Rico doesn’t think Starr has any business talking down to him. Ashton may have set the table…but everyone is eating now and Rico doesn’t need him anymore. Starr thinks he should still be the center of attention, he makes a point to body shame Rico. Rico’s done with this. Starr needs to keep Rico’s fiancee’s name out of his damn mouth. Samir comes to Starr’s defense but Ashton pulls him back before Rico kills him. Starr baits Rico in for an apologetic hug….and of course it’s a trap…Ashton slaps Rico silly and escapes to the back. This was a weird and long segment. Even Dylan Hales is confused.

Match 4: Ella Envy (w/ BK Westbrook) vs Rachel Armstrong

BK and Ella are gross for each other. Ella gets the mic and no one is happy. Rachel is all smiles as she takes the mic and tells Ella that no one cares what she has to say. Ella attacks and Armstrong is ready to just take her apart quick. Armstrong going for a 450 almost immediately….Ella rolls away and catches Rachel with a F5 into the top rope. This busts her mouth open. Westbrook just doing pushups while Armstrong writhes on the floor. Spine buster to the ACTION Futures winner. Ella just swarming with kicks and stretches and a hangman’s double knee for two. Rachel tries a cross body but gets caught, tossed and booted for two. Rachel keeps trying to come back but Ella has answers for all of this….and maybe a little back luck. She catches her foot on the rope in a suicide dive and damn near dies. She manages to hit the sliced bread…up to the top for the 450 but BK is interjecting again. Rachel finally sends him to the floor but Ella gets the rollup and puts her foot on the ropes…and BK makes she she holds the leverage. This was as dirty of a pin as you can get and Rachel’s undefeated streak at ACTION comes to a crushing halt.

Winner: Ella Envy

Match 5: Krule(c) vs Channing Thomas

Channing’s gonna die at the end. He’s confident of victory. Sidney Bakabella (who isn’t here) is confident of victory. But this is Krule he’s facing. And as the IWTV hits the ring…Channing sure looks like he knows he dun f***ed up when he took this booking. Everyone in the crowd is ready for Channing is be murderized. The bell rings and Channing heads right to the floor. Fair. Channing paces the ring and Krule just stalks around, never breaking his glare. Channing back in. He tries to stay ahead of Krule’s big strikes but NOTHING HE DOES MATTERS. Krule is just walking through anything Channing offers up. Channing with a bait to the floor, Krule gives chase….Krule eats a couple of stomps and stands right back up. Thomas can’t escape and gets crumbled with a big boot. HARD chops damn near KO’s Channing out of the corner. Huge toss out of the corner. Changing is still swinging but Krule just eating all of it. Quick pickup and side slam. Krule gets hung up on the top rope and Thomas sweeps him to the apron. Channing just kicking him in the head over and over. Krule eats a punt kick into the post! THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO START PREENING CHANNING THOMAS! Krule is standing again. Of course he is. Channing eats the post. Krule stalks him back into the ring before this becomes a count out. Channing throwing chops and clotheslines……nope. Nothing matters. Channing dropkicks the knee….and Krule suplexes him. Krule runs in, Thomas with a boot! He gouges the eyes through the mask. Top rope knee to the head! Channing gets a two! And then Krule stands up and hits a choke breaker. Channing kicks out and the monster is ready to deal out more pain. Channing goes for the eyes again…..tornado perfect Plex!!!! Channing gets a two! He’s batting the monster in the head over and over. The crowd chanting Krule back to life and he drops Channing on his head. Fight to the apron and Channing eats a choke slam! The ref is distracts by Channing. Adam Priest blasts Krule with a chair! Channing hits a brass knuckles shot. Is Channing gonna steal it?!?! Krule out at two! Channing grabs the chairs but Krule punches it right into his face and Thomas is down for the three. Loved this finish. Channing  took a hell of beating but absolutely acquitted himself against the IWTV champ and ALMOST pulled it off.

Winner: Krule

Adam Priest swarms with the chair and just doesn’t relent until he is able to leave the ring with Krule laid out completely. Unfortunately, the monster will not stay down….and so Adam Priest has to keep coming back to smash him in the head with a chair. Priest doesn’t know what to do and he escapes out the back as Krule sits up yet again.

Match 6: Squatting Dragons (Erron Wade & Kody Manhorn) vs Out of this World (Arik Royal & BK Westbrook w/ Ella Envy)

This two teams clash again and you have to wonder if the 4th times the charm (if you include the BK/Ella tag loss in this equation). BK and Ella are just as gross for each other as they were earlier in the night. Wade is channeling a couple of different dragons tonight in his opening beating on BK Westbrook. Manhorn in with a tandem senton. Arik Royal with a seated senton off the apron drives the baby dragon to the floor as Wade s completely distracted by Ella. Out of this World just rolling through Erron as Kody watches helpless from the apron. BUT….we’ve seen this before. OotW has been choking against this team repeatedly. Maybe they’ve finally learned a lesson. Kody blasted off the apron. Wade escapes and has no where to go. Big toss across the ring by BK. Ella gets a little choke action in there too. How is the ref missing ALL of this cheating?!? Wade finally escapes…tag to Kody! Huge bulldog on BK! Kody escapes the grasp of the ACEGAWD and staggers him with a headbutt! Hi lo sweeps Royal down for two! Kody tries a fireman’s carry but can’t complete it. Wade coldclocks Royal. Wade going to the top and Ella is right there to distract them. Wade gets shoved off the rope by BK and lands right into a Kobe from Royal for the win. They FINALLY get the win over Squatting Dragons but it took ALL of them.

Winners: Out of this World

For good measure, they stomp out and beat on the dragons. Rachel Armstrong hits the ring to get some measure of revenge on Ella…BK gets in there instead….Armstrong plants him with a sliced bread! Ella and Royal pull BK to safety! Matt Griffin announces a 6-person tag between all these folks in April!

Match 7: Landon Hale vs Terri Yaki

Oh Hale yeah! Here is another match that has the potential to shine tonight. Crowd is hype for these guys. Some good graps to start as Yaki and Hale try to get the quick pin to the stalemate. Another great sequence as they reverse and reverse and change directions until Landon hits a dropkick for two. Yaki offers one back but the Good Doctor cracks him with a chop. Hale caught up in the ropes and Yaki jumps in for a seated side Russian for two. Three amigos? Landon is the third amigo! Hale with a tornado backbreaker and second rope lawn dart! Landon is flying in with a frog splash style cross body! Hale hits a step up top rope Spanish fly! Hale going for the SPO Driver….Yaki with a crucifix pin! He’s trying to end this asap. Hale sent to the floor with a flying boot! Yaki with a somersault to the floor! Hale trying to get back into in, eats a hangman’s ddt and tornado slam for a clooooooosssssse two. Crowd is split for these two and loving it. Hale blocks a Spanish fly….Yaki isn’t done and keeps trying for the trap pin. Kick to the face! Yaki has Ladon up but Hale leverages down to a rollup, he gets the leg….Hale catches him for the three!!!! Awesome. The crowd loved this.

Winner: Landon Hale

Scott Hensley talks to Landon Hale. He mentions Landons upcoming trips to Germany and Thailand……but on April 26th? LANDON HALE IS GOING TO BE MUSTAFA ALI’S OPPONENT!!!!! Hale is ecstatic!!!

Main Event: Alex Kane (w/ The Good Hand)(c) vs 1 Called Manders (for the ACTION championship)

Is Alex Kane going to drop two titles in a week? Can Manders translate his SCI 2023 win into a championship? Manders is hungry and takes it to the champ right at the bell. The Good Hand doing their damndest to keep Manders looking over his shoulder….but the big cowboy is not letting up. Huge powerbomb? Kane kicks out. He goes for the stampede but Kane hits a great back suplex with a half chicken wing. Splash into the arm! Kane has found a target. Manders with a suicide lariat! He winds up the big arm again but Kane boots it. Corkscrew suplex from Kane but he’s very worn down from all the punishment. Suge D trying to will the Kane back to life. Kane punches the arm, Manders chops with the other. Kane won’t stop punching at the arm…Manders with the lariat from the other side. Manders goes for the lariat with his main arm anyways….he blasts the ref! Manders hits Kane with a lariat…the Good Hand tries to swarm on Manders Shield-style but Matt Sells and Jaden Newman run out with a chair to drive off Owens and Kevin. Suge dodges the interception and runs in for a belt shot but eats a cowboy lariat! With Manders completely turned around, Kane blasts him with the title belt and makes the cover as the ref comes back to life enough to make the three count. Wild finish the ended the night similar to how it start. What a blast of a show tonight.

WInner: Alex Kane

Suge D on the mic as the Good Hand celebrates their dominance and Alex Kane’s continuing ACTION title reign. He says no one is stopping the K train. It’s never happening. It’s. Never. Happening.
