ON SITE NOTES FROM WWE'S PRESS EVENT IN LAS VEGAS

I spoke to a radio friend of man who was at T-Mobile Arena for last night's press conference.

He shared these thoughts with me.

1. The event had a PPV feel. The crowd was totally into it. And they knew they were not getting an actual match but it had that big feel nonetheless.

2. The crowd was livid about Rock taking Cody’s spot and they quickly turned around at the end of course. But the heat was very real. This will only work if Rock is full fledged heal.  And Punk was a wonderful surprise for the live crowd.

3. More people attended this press conference than attended Dynamite Wednesday night.

4. TKO held an invitation only party Wednesday night. He got an invite. He said the cross branding between WWE and UFC is phenomenal. They had WWE belts on display that would be handed out to the Chiefs or 49ers to the winner after The Super Bowl. And they had giant replica UFC and WWE belts on display on the ground that you could take pictures with. WWE used Roman’s belt.
