SEQUEL ANNOUNCED FOR DISNEY ANIMATED FILM STARRING THE ROCK

Disney announced plans for a sequel to the animated film Moana today, revealing it will be released on 11/27:

The Rock voices and sings the character of Maui in the original film.  There is no word yet whether he is back for the sequel yet, but the character will return.

The plot of the film - "Part 2 will take audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced."

Disney is currently developing a live action version of the original film as well.
