DAVE BAUTISTA TO STAR ALONGSIDE SAMUEL L. JACKSON IN NEW FILM

Deadline is reporting Dave Bautista and Samuel L. Jackson will star in the post-apocalyptic adventure film Afterburn, set ten years after a solar flare wipes out technology. 

Bautista plays an ex-soldier (Jake) who teams up with a freedom fighter (Drea) to recover the Mona Lisa before a warlord finds it.  Samuel L.Jackson will play  a freedom fighter named  Valentine.

The film is based on the Red 5 comic/graphic novel series and will be directed by J.J. Perry, known for his work on the 'John Wick' and 'Fast & Furious' franchises.

Principal photography is slated to begin in April in Europe. Additional casting is already underway for the film.

If the film is shooting in early April, that would likely mean that once again, Dave Bautista would be unavailable to be "officially" inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in person.
