AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, TX. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Kevin Kelly, and Nigel McGuinness.

Eddie Kingston (AEW Triple Crown Champion) vs Bryan Keith in a Proving Grounds match

They start with kicks at each other before locking up, neither gets an advantage for a while before Keith works Kingston to the ropes and then slaps him as they break. They lock up and go to the ropes. They run the ropes and Kingston chops Keith down. Kingston starts in with chops, and then hits a belly to belly suplex. Kingston grabs a hold, but Keith gets to the ropes quickly. They trade headbutts, and then chops all the way down to the mat. Kingston gets a couple of knee lifts and tries for a suplex, but Keith blocks him.

Kingston goes to chops and then they trade blows. Keith hits a drop-kick to Kingston’s legs and when Kingston gets to his feet, he drops him with a rear kick for one. Kingston rolls to the floor for a break. He then pulls Keith out of the ring and they brawl on the outside of the ring. Keith rolls Kingston back in the ring and covers for two. Kingston is selling his jaw hurts, and they trade chops. Kingston gets a belly to belly suplex and we go to picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Keith runs into a big boot from Kingston, and Keith hits a headbutt to Kingston’s jaw, and Kingston goes to the floor. Keith tosses him into the ring and gets a running kick and a falcon arrow for two. Keith tries for a double underhook and Kingston gets an exploder. Keith gets an exploder of his own and follows with a Liger bomb for two. 

Keith lets Kingston get up in the corner and they trade blows. Kingston gets an exploder for two. Kingston hits the machine gun chops in the corner. Keith gets an insigiri and goes to the top. Kingston fights free and puts on a sleeper. Keith tries jawbreakers twice to try to escape and Kingston hits a DDT for two. Kingston drops the straps and Keith lays in chips and Kingston hits the spinning back fist for the pin and the win.

Winner and still AEW Triple Crown Champion: Eddie Kingston

Tony Schiavone gets in the ring to talk to Kingston and Kingston tells him to talk to Keith, and he does. Tony tells him that Brian Keith is AllElite.

Congratulations to Brian Keith.

Bryan Danielson is up next and his music starts while everyone else is still in the ring. Bryan holds up Keith’s hand and we go to commercial.

We get a quick promo from Jon Moxley who says CMLL has the greatest luchadores in the world and the Blackpool Combat Club studies wrestling all over the world and they will show respect to the luchadores of CMLL, but their behavior on Dynamite must be paid for. 

Bryan Danielson vs Hechicero

They jockey for position before locking up with a greco roman knuckle lock and both going to the mat to struggle for supremacy. Bryan turns it into an arm bar and Hechicero escapes. They trade headlocks and arm bars, and go to the mat to attempt leg locks. Neither can fully lock on so they trade chops, and Hechicaro is able to counter Bryan’s moves into a two count rollup. 

Bryan is able to lock onto the surfboard, but Hechicero reverses it into the same thing. Hechicero rolls him around the ring with it until Bryan grabs a rope for a break. Bryan works Hechicero in the corner. Bryan puts him on the top rope and tries for a hurricanrana, but Hechicero makes it a power bomb for two. After Bryan gets a pair of kicks, Hechicero gets a guillotine leg drop and then a rear naked choke for two, and Bryan gets to the ropes as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Hechicero chops Bryan into the corner and then beats him down. They run the ropes again and Hechicero gets a shotgun drop-kick and then puts Bryan on the top and lays in a series of blows. Bryan gets headbutts, knocking Hechicero to the mat. Bryan leaps for a headbutt and Hechicero grabs the arm and rolls him up for two. 

Bryan hits a series of uppercuts and Hechicero is able to grab a rear naked choke in the ropes. They break and when Bryan charges at Hechicero, Hechicero hits a low kick knocking Bryan to the floor and drives on Bryan. Hechicero rolls Bryan into the ring and goes to the top for a crossbody, but Bryan moves back and hits a knee. He follows with a Labell lock and Hechicero is able to break free and grabs a leg lock and pulls Bryan’s arm backward as well. Bryan is able to get to the ropes for a break.

Bryan gets to the yes kicks and Hechicero is knocked to his knees. He dodges a kick and drops Bryan into a spinning hammerlock into a back breaker. Hechicero misses a running knee strike and Bryan gets a dragon screw. Bryan misses the psycho knee and captures Bryan’s arms and rolls him up for two twice. He keeps the hold, but Bryan reverses it for the pin and the win.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

That match was fantastic, mixing styles and lots of quick reverses and hold for hold mat work. Go out of your way to catch this one. 

Hechicero attacks Bryan after the match and we get Claudio Castagnoli’s music and he comes to the ring for the save and Hechicero bails.

In the back, Lexi is with FTR and Daniel Garcia and she asks if the plan is to keep the team together. Garcia says he is just glad he has FTR by his side. Cash says he likes the success they are having, and Dax says that while FTR didn’t make the tag team rankings, but they did make the trios rankings.

Hook vs The Already In The Ring Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum)

The Outrunners have a lot of quick tags to try to attack, but Hook is able to take whatever attacks they make. They sell like real estate agents for him. 90 seconds in, the Redrum is locked on and it’s over.

Winner: Hook

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to talk to Mark Briscoe. He says when he was a child, he watched Tony on Saturday nights. He talks about how the House of Black attacked him last week, but by the end of the match, he, FTR and Garcia had their hands raised. He says after 20 years of being in a tag team, he is flying solo. He says if you knock him down, he gets back up, and the lights go out.

House of Black is on the big screen, and Malakai Black says he loves magic tricks, like making people disappear, and he will do that to Mark.

We then get a video for the Adam Copeland challenge (The Cope Open).

Serena Deeb vs Queen Aminata

They lock up and Deeb is able to take Aminata down quickly. They lock up again and Aminata grabs an arm bar and Deeb picks the leg to get out of it. She then locks a leg-based submission hold on Aminata and rolls it into a pin for two. They run the ropes and Aminata gets a shoulder block. Deeb picks the leg again and grabs a half crab, and Aminata gets to the ropes. Aminata kicks Deeb into the corner and then gets a snap suplex and a two count as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they run the ropes and Deeb gets a running lariat. Deeb throws hands and drops Aminata with a rolling forearm. Deeb then gets a guillotine drop on the middle rope and then a swinging neckbreaker for two. Deeb tries for a double underhook and Aminata drops down for a two count. They struggle for a backslide and Deeb finally gets the move for two. Aminata gets a headbutt to get some space. Aminata gets a hip attack and then misses with running knees. Deeb grabs a figure four around the ringpost and breaks at four.

Deeb tries again for the detox and Aminata works out of it. Deeb takes a series of blows and hits a swinging neckbreaker and grabs the Serenity Lock for the win.

Winner: Serena Deeb

Tony is back in the ring for Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. In honor of Black History Month, Swerve says he will join the ranks of Black Champions. Tony asks him about Adam Page and Swerve says Page is in his way, and when he gets rid of Page he will make history. He then tells Prince Nana no interferences because he wants no excuses. 

We then get a video from Toni Storm. Mariah May asks Toni if she watched her match, and Toni said if you have seen one women’s match, you’ve seen them all. She then says she will beat Deanna Purrazzoi, and will have a public workout on Wednesday. 

Red Velvet vs The Already In The Ring Vert Vixen

Velvet grabs a headlock, Vert shoots her into the ropes, and Velvet gets a shoulder block but Vert doesn’t go down. Velvet gets a leg lariat for one. Velvet comes off the ropes for a casadora into a headlock takedown. She then fights Vert in the corner and Velvet goes for a second casadora and Vert turns it into a slam for two. Velvet reverses a slam into a two count. Velvet gets a drop toe hold and then knees to the back of Vert, followed by a backstabber and a Stir It Up rollup for the pin and the win.

Winner: Red Velvet

It’s time for the main event:

Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne vs Daniel Garcia and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

Matt Menard joins commentary. 

Dax and Wayne start off and Wayne dodges a tie up and preens about it. They lock up again and Dax gets a side headlock takeover and chops Wayne. Cage is tagged in and they run the ropes with Dax running through him and then a pair of quick roll-ups for two. Cage gets a kick and Dax rolls him up again for two. Wayne tags in and slaps Dax. Dax tags in Garcia, and they run the ropes. Wayne gets an arm drag and a two count. 

Wayne slaps Garcia and mocks his dance, and Garcia tosses him from the ring. All six men get in the ring and face off as we go to picture in picture.  

When we return to full screen, Garcia has been the babyface in peril as Cage’s team works him over with quick tags. Cage misses a leap from the top and both men struggle to get to their corners. Wayne is tagged in and then Cash tags in and runs wild. Dax gets a blind tag, and Killswitch gets in the ring and attacks both members of FTR. FTR drops Killswitch with a high lo and Wayne sneaks in to roll up Dax for two. 

Wayne gets a code red for two. Wayne goes to the top, and Dax shoves him and joins him on top. Dax gets a superplex backdrop and both men are down. Dax covers for two and Killswitch breaks it up. Killswitch hits Dax with a back body drop. Cage gets a kick to Dax’s face and Killswitch gets a chokeslam for two and we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Dax has been the babyface in peril. They keep working him over until Cage and Dax knock heads. Both struggle to get up, and crawl to their corners. Wayne tags in and Dax gives him a back body drop and tags in Garcia who cleans house. Cash stops Cage from attacking Garcia from behind and they beat down Wayne and Cage in opposite corners. Cash dives onto Killswitch and Garcia hits a sheer drop brainbuster on Wayne for two. 

Wayne pokes Garcia in the eye and then hits a fisherman’s suplex for two. Wayne mocks Garcia’s dance and then starts slapping Garcia. Garcia grabs him for a rollup for two. Garcia gets a swinging neckbreaker for two. Garcia goes to the top and Cage stops him and attacks on the apron. Dax grabs Cage and they throw hands as Garcia goes to the top. Cage shoves him to Wayne’s cutter for two. Wayne tries for a back body drop, but Cash sneaks into the ring to watch Garcia and then catches Wayne and slams him. Time for everyone to get a finishing move until Cage accidentally spears Wayne.

They go back to hitting finishers on each other. Wayne and Garcia are left in the ring and Garcia gets a surprise rollup for the pin and the win.

Winners: Daniel Garcia and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)
