AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It's Wednesday! That means AEW Dynamite is LIVE from New Orleans, LA. Excalibut, Taz and Tony Schiavone have the call of the action.

Jon Moxley vs. Jeff Hardy

CMLL wrestlers are in the front row taking in the action. Hardy attacks at the bell but Moxley immediately takes over with a 10 count of punches in the corner and sends Hardy to the floor.  Hardy sends Moxley to the steps and back into the ring. Kick by Moxley and he topes Hardy on the outside.  Moxley crotches Hardy on the rail. Back in the ring, Moxley stomps down on Hardy's hand.  2 count by Moxley. Step over toe hold by Moxley. Kicks by Moxley.  Into the buckles hard does Hardy. Moxley sends him into the post. Action spills to the floor and Moxley sends Hardy in front of the CMLL wrestlers. Moxley gets into a little shoving match with them.  Right hand by Moxley slows Hardy down as we go to commercial.

We are back and it's Moxley shivung a pen into Hardy's exposed ear.  Hardy shoves him to the floor. Moxley misses a lariat and Hardy with a legdrop and elbow for 2.  Moxley with elbows into a 2 count.  Twist of Fate by Hardy on the apron.  2 count by Hardy after a corkscrew. Dropkick by Hardy. Elbow by Moxley into a superplex. They trade punches but it's Moxley with a cutter. Russian Leg Sweep by Hardy into a 2 count.  2 Twists of Fate by Hardy. Hardy misses a swanton. Moxley with a choke and that's all she wrote.

WINNER JON MOXLEY

Hardy flips Moxley off before leaving. Moxley argues with the CMLL guys. They jump Moxley and stomp him to the ground.  One of them is Mistico. Another is Hechicero.

Hangman Adam Page vs Toa Liona

This is Dealers Choice night. Swerve chose Toa.  We get some pre match comments form Page.  Forearms by Page, into punches. Toa with a shove and a kneelift. Sliding lariat by Page but a double forearm by Toa. Chops by Page into a small package. Page sends Toa over the top rope. Two springboard lariats but Toa doesn't register. Toa sends Page to the floor.  Cross bidy by Toa on the floor. Taz references Rick Martel on that cross body. That popped me. Sit down splash for 2 by Toa. Page fires back but a pounce sends him over the top as we go to commercial.

We are back and it's Page with a pair of kicks. Toa sets Page up on the Tree of Woe and rains headbutts to Page. Toa misses a senton on the apron. Cross body for 2 by Page. Rolling forearms by Page. Page can't apply the deadeye. Page bocks the ripcord and nails a pair of lariats. A third sends Toa to the ground. Deadeye by Page. Toa pops up. BIG headbutt by Toa. Ripcord by Toa for 2. Senton on the apron by Leona.  Toa misses a moonsault on the floor. Page nails his.

This is a really fun match!

Hangman misses a lariat but gets a crucifix in for the pin.

We see from earlier today the arrival of Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.

Wardlow w/The Undisputed Kingdom vs. Komander

I have already written in the result below.  Lockup. Wardlow bullies him to the floor. Komander gets back in and hits a pair of dropkicks. Powerslam by Wardlow.  Wardlow tosses Komander across the ring. Wardlow with kicks, he's in complete control. F10 by Wardlow. Komander with a rana into the steps on the floor. Dropkick by Wardlow. Pheonix splash by Komander for 2.  Powerslam by Wardlow. Big uppercut by Wardlow into a powerbomb. Wardlow scores the pin.

WINNER WARDLOW

Strong has the mic as Komander gets thrown back in. Orange Cassidy and Trent, Chuck and Rocky Romero make the save. The undisputed Kingdom bail.

Tony Schiavone has a sit down with Ricky Starks, Big Bill, Sting and Darby Allin. Darby is fired up above all others. Standard face to face hype for the big match next week. Starks throws water on Darby and they go face to face. 

Chris Jericho vs. Kyle Fletcher w/Don Callis

The ROH TV title is not on the line. They start with slaps and chops. Michinoku Driver by Fletcher for 2. Jericho sends him to the apron and nails a springboard dropkick. Jericho chases Callis and Fletcher knocks him to the ramp. Back in the ring, it's Fletcher with punches in the corner. Kick to the back by Fletcher. Jericho gets him in the corner and scores with punches and a rana. Fletcher recovers quickly and stomps Jericho as we go to commercial.

We are back and it;s a chop exchange. Knee by Fletcher. Running dropkick by Fletcher into a brainbuster for 2. Shoulder blocks by Jericho. Axehandle by Jericho into a face drop. Hobbs with a punch as Jericho went for a Lionsault. Jericho blocks a DDT and nails a Walls of Jericho. Fletcher makes the ropes. Superkick by Fletcher for 2. Codebreaker by Jericho for 2.  They trade punches. Fletcher with a kick knocks Jericho off the top rope. Brainbuster by Fletcher off the top for 2. Knee strke by Fletcher. Rollup by Jericho for 2.  Fletcher goes for a tope but Jericho nails the Judas effect Back in the ring another Judas effect scores the pin.

WINNER CHRIS JERICHO

Konosuke Takeshita comes out to stare down Jericho.

We hear from Deonna Purrazzo

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang comes out.  Bowens gets CardBlade but Austen gets the JuiceBoard. Not sure what this was about.

Toni Storm comes out for commentary.

Deonna Purrazzo vs Taya Valkyrie

Lockup, clean break.  Lockup, slap by Taya. Armdrag by Deonna. A series of arm twists by Deonna. Taya makes the ropes. Leg sweep by Taya. Forearm by Taya. Headscissor takedown by Deonna. Spear on the floor by Taya. Deonna goes into the steps as we go to commercial.

As we return it's the two women trading forearms. Clothesline by Deonna followed by a kneelift. Pump kick by Deonna for 2. Forearm and kick by Taya into a Falcon Arrow for 2.  Knee bar by Deonna. Escape by Taya into a slifdng lariat for 2. Taya to the floor. Sliding dropkick by Deonna. Deonna sends Taya into Storm on the floor. Double armbar by Deonna and Taya has to tap.

WINNER DEONNA PURRAZZO

Renee Paquette is with Darby Allin. She asks about his admiration for the Young Bucks. Matthew and Nicholas come in. They are not happy that Allin allows Sting to make more money than him. They want to create a new persona for him.  Darby storms off.

 

Swerve Strickland vs. Rob Van Dam

Hangman Page goes on the screen and says this is a hardcore match.  Chair to the face by RVD and the action spills to the floor. Spinning kick by RVD. Into the front row goes Swerve. New Orleans wants tables. Back on the floor its a gord buster on the rail by RVD and he nails the spinning legdrop. Samoa Joe like what he sees. We go to commercial.

We are back and Swerve throws RVD into a chair in the corner for 2.  RVD then returns the favor and nails a rolling thunder. Running, chair assisted dropkick by RVD for 2. Swerve blocks the monkey flip and powerbombs RVD on a chair for 2. They block suplexes. RVD with an atomic drop on the top rope. Brian Cage saves Swerve but Hook comes in and nails Cage with chair shots. Body scissors for 2 by RVD. Kick by RVD. Big rolling DDT by Swerve for 2. Swerve stomp on the floor into the steps. RVD throws a chair at Swerve and he falls to the floor through a table. RVD misses a ***** Frong splash. Dropkick by Swerve for 2. Swerve Stomp and Swerve scores the pin.

WINNER SWERVE STRICKLAND

Hangman Page comes out and congratulates Swerve on the win. He will never let Swerve be champion.  They agree to a 3rd match.
