MAINE MARINERS PRESENTING 'WRESTLING DAY' THIS SUNDAY TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY, WRESTLING DRAMA 'CHAD DEITY' RUNNING IN FLORIDA AND MORE

The Maine Mariners hockey team will be holding a benefit professional wrestling event this Sunday 2/4 from EWA as part of their "Wrestling Day" at the Cross Insurance Arena to raise money for victims of the Lewiston, Maine shooting.  The show is free with ticket to the hockey game featuring Scotty 2 Hotty & Tommy Dreamer & Colt Cabana & Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Myers & Shannon Moore & Heath Miller & The Big Kon in the main event, Teddy Goodz vs. Mo Jabari, pluys a six man tag with Dr. Hersey & Steve Ramsey & Adam Booker vs. Antonio Thomas & Scott King & Larry Huntley.  You can purchase VIP tickets, which include a pre-game meet and greet and a buffet lunch to help raise money at this link.

The new staging of professional wrestling play The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity is currently running at Florida's The Hippodrome Theatre through 2/12.  I saw the original off-Broadway version years ago and it was an excellent drama.  Playwright Kristoffer Diaz wrote the book for the new Alicia Keys musical Hell's Kitchen that is Broadway-bound.

Bull James vs. Shawn Spears and Mikey Whipwreck in action have been announced for the 2/23 Outlaw Pro Wrestling event at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Brooklyn, NY.

Dive Pro Wrestling has launched in Utah, running monthly in Ogden with their next event on 2/17.

The tremendous Andy Kaufman biopic Man on the Moon starring Jim Carrey as the immortal genius comedian Andy Kaufman will be playing at The Alamo Drafthouse theater chain next month.  The film covers Kaufman's turn in the professional wrestling world with Jerry Lawler playing himself, Jim Ross announcing and the late, great Lance Russell appearing as a ring announcer.  For more details, check your local Alamo for schedules.

Dominant Championship Wrestling will be running four times a year in Selma, North Carolina.
