AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah Georgia. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Matt Menard.

Jon Moxley vs Lee Moriarty w/Shane Taylor

They start with waistlocks and arm bars. Moriarty gets a snap mare, but doesnt’ follow up. They go to a greco roman knuckle lock and Mox forces them to the corner, and gives Moriarty a chop, and Moriarty goes to the outside to regroup. Moriarty gets in the ring and they quickly go back to arm bars and waistlocks. Moriarty gets a headlock takeover and holds onto it on the mat.

Mox works to his feet and shoots Moriarty off to the ropes, and Mariarty gets a shoulder tackle, Mox follows with a back elbow and Moriarty goes to the floor again. Mox joins him and gets in Taylor’s face. Mox gets in the ring and they lock up and quickly go to the ropes where Mox gets a series of chops and elbows. Moriarty comes off the ropes and picks the leg and puts Mox in the Motor City Stretch, but Mox gets to the ropes and pie faces Mox.

Mox slaps him back and they throw hands in the middle of the ring. Mox wins the exchange when Moriarty comes off the ropes into a forearm. Mox mounts Moriarty in the corner for ten shots and a bite. Moriarty gets a shotgun drop kick off the second rope and then nails Mox with ten blows in the corner. Moriarty tosses Mox to the floor and they go to picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Mox and Moriarty fight on the apron, and Moriarty hits a backtrip hammerlock slam on the apron.  When they get in the ring, Moriarty gets a belly to belly suplex into a cross armbreaker. Mox rolls through as Moriarty holds on for a suplex and keeps the arm breaker and tries to turn it into a double wrist lock. Mox fights free and Moriarty gets a stalling German suplex for two.

Moriarty rolls into a King Kong lariat. Mox doesn’t follow up and they move to the corner and fight to the top. Bites bites Moriarty again and hits an avalanche super plex. Neither man can get up, and Mox is able to float over and grabs a bulldog, but Moriarty is able to reverse it into the Motor City stretch. Mox reverses out and nails the hammer and anvil elbows. Moriarty is able to grab Mox’s fingers and snaps them.

Moriarty hits a drop kick, a big boot and then a series of knees in the corner. He hits a flying boot in the corner and a flatliner for two. Moriarty goes to the top and leaps into an elbow from Mox, Mox stomps Moriarty’s head in and then a package piledriver for two. Mox gets more hammer and anvil elbows, follows with a running knee for two. Mox puts on the rear naked choke and Moriarty passes out.

Winner: Jon Moxley

After the match Shane Taylor gets in the ring and nails Mox with a sucker punch. Moriarty puts the boots to Mox. Taylor then stomps Mox’s head in and they head to the back. 

Renee then interviews Anna Jay and Angelo Parker, and Parker says with everything going on, he can’t go to the ring with Anna.  He asks her to tell him she didn't make Harley kiss him. She slaps him and says she is tired of her having everyone’s back and no one having hers, so she’s done with everyone. 

Konosuke Takeshita w/The Don Callis Family vs the Already in the ring Christopher Daniels

Don Callis joins commentary and Tony Schiavone lets us know of his displeasure with that. 

Daniels goes at Takeshita immediately with blows and kicks until Takeshita drops him with a right hand. Takeshitas lays in blows and follows with a clyting clothesline. He then comes off the second rope with a senton onto Daniels. Takeshita puts Daniels on top and joins him there. They struggle against each other a bit and Takeshita takes a series of head butts from Daniels and Daniels follows with a swinging neckbreaker.

Daniels gets a German suplex and a back heel trip. He tries for angels’ wings, but Takeshita blocks him and hits a pile driver and a slam. Takeshita hits a running knee for the pin and the win.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

Don gets in the ring and cuts a promo against Jericho, and he says he challenges him to face Konosuke Takeshita in two weeks. Kyle Fletcher interrupts him and says Takeshita and Hobbs already had their shots.  It’s his turn. Don agrees and says Jericho will face Kyle next week and Takeshita in two weeks.

Renee is in the back with Top Flight and Action Andretti with Private Party. She tells Private Party they will have a rematch after their questionable victory. The two teams argue and security stops them from going after each other. 

Ruby Soho w/Harley Cameron and Saraya vs Anna Jay

Runby tosses Anna from the ring during her entrance and then attacks her on the floor. Jay isn't able to defend herself and Ruby beats her up around the ring. Ruby tosses her into the ring and the bell is finally rung. Anna gets a high boot off the ropes and goes after Ruby in the corner. Anna hits a neck breaker in the ropes and then kicks Harley away. Saraya sweeps the leg as we go to picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Anna and Ruby struggle to get up after going at each other all through the break. They start chopping each other on their knees working to their feet. Anna ends it with a flying elbow and then attacks in the corners. Anna gets the Jay kick followed by a backstabber for two. Anna tries for a queenslayer, but Ruby drops down for a quick rollup for two. Ruby gets a knee and Anna blocks the suplex follow up. Anna gets a DDT for two.,

Anna tries for the queenslayer again and Harley grabs the boot. Anna gets out of the ring to attack her, but Anna pops her one. Satraya grabs Ann and the ref sees it and they…are…outta here! Anna tries a back slide, but Ruby blocks it and hits a Destination Unknown for two. Runny puts Anna on top and Anna hits a leaping neckbreaker and locks on the Queenslayer for the win.

Winner: Anna Jay

In the back, Renee is with Eddie Kingston, and asks him what he thinks about what Bryan Danielson says. Eddie trash talks Bryan and then says he will be giving Willie Mack a title shot tomorrow night. 

We then get another video for Serena Deeb’s return tomorrow. 

Butcher vs Kip Sabian vs Komander vs Vikingo The winner faces Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Title Tomorrow night

• They pair off with Kip and Butcher go after Komander and Vikingo

• After they brawl on the outside, Kip and Butcher get in the ring. After they pose, Kip tries to roll up Butcher for two

• Kip avoids Butcher’s attacks and Vikingo drags Kip out of the ring with Vikingo and Komander take out Kip

• Vikingo and Komander get in the ring and run the ropes with night flying flips and leaps. 

• Butcher gets in the ring and clotheslines them both down and then beats down Vikingo 

• Komander tries for an attack, and Butcher stops him with a deadlift. 

• Butcher tries for a cloverleaf submission and Vikingo kicks Butch down. 

• Kip botches a leap off the top rope as we go to picture in picture

• When we return to full screen, Kip and Butcher have been beating down Komander and Vikingo

• They work over Komander and every time Butcher turns his back, Kip goes for a pin.

• Butcher drops Kip and covers for two, broken up by Vikingo

• Kip stops Vikingo by sweeping the leg and dragging him crotch first into the ringpost

• Komander hits a swinging DDT on Kip and then hits a Spanish Fly for two on Kip

• Vikingo knocks Komander off the top and as they fight on top, Butcher puts Vikinngo on his shoulders as Vikingo holds Komander for a vertical suplex.

• Kip kneels behind Butcher, tripping him. All three men crash to the mat and Kip covers Butcher for two

• Kip tries to pin everyone and only gets a two count each time.

• Komander hits a destroyer on Kip on the floor. 

• Vikingo hits a moonsault from the top into both o0f them on the floor

• Vikingo rolls Komander into the mat for a Phoenix Splash, but Komander gets the knees up.

• Komander takes a liger bomb from Butcher for two, broken up by Vikingo

• Vikingo hits Butcher with kicks

• Vikingo tries for a poisonrana on Komander, who doesn’t go over. Komander hits a poisonrana on Vikingo.

• Kip gets a German on Komander for two

• Komander gets a hurricanrana on Kip for the pin and the win

Winner: Komander
