Spotlight Match: Draeger vs Marcus Mathers 

This is definitely a step up in competition for young Draeger. Well…young IN THE RING. I keep forgetting that Mathers is barely out of high school. He snatches Mathers’ head but Marcus has answers for all of this. Draeger blocks the bozo buster. He takes the eyes and his a high angle saito! Harrrrd chops. Draeger with some hard corner stomps. Mathers back with a lariat and lionsault for two. He calls for the bozo buster again…backdrop…Draeger tries to snatch the pin…Marcus escapes danger and hits the bozo buster for the win! 

Winner: Marcus Mathers

We’re live! Paul Crockett and Brother Greatness are at commentary. Rich Palladino is your announcer. There’s a LOT of gnome hats floating around this room.
 

Match 1: BRG vs Dan Barry (JGP H Block)

“Hey what’s up? You’re not a cowboy anymore?” “nah, that was stupid.” This is already fun. Dan Barry is just showing off here and handling Gosselin early. Brett with a dropkick rebound and unloads some corner shots. Ripcord clothesline for two! BRG flips free, hits a clothesline! BRG fired up until Dan double arms him into the buckles! Triangle dropkick sends BRGto the floor! Suicide Dan! Kneesault senton back into the ring and a huge sitout powerbomb. The king of KENergy kicks out! Brett with a superkick and goes for the Unprettier…quick reversals and pin attempts! Back and forth. Dan tries a la magistral…Brett grabs the head and leg and snags the three! Dan is shocked…and very frustrated. 

Winner: BRG (2 pts)

Match 2: RJ Rude vs Brian Milonas (JGP J Block)

Rude has fought some goliaths lately. This will be a test to see how much damage has truly been done to him lately. Dude is unloading on a surprised Kingpin. Hard strikes and kicks! Milonas finally catches him on the top and choke tosses him across the ring. Milonas is already winded from this assault but hits a powerful suplex that shakes the room. Wheelbarrow Pullup bomb! RJ dodges the seated senton! RJ rallies! Dropkicks! High cross body for two! Rude goes for a crucifix bomb but Milonas adjusts the position and crushes RJ with a Samoan drop for the emphatic definitive win.

Winner: Brian Milonas (2 pts)

 

 Match 3: Landon Hale vs Ichiban (JGP D Block)

Ichiban faces elimination with a loss here. Landon is looking at the biggest match of his Wrestling Open tenure so far. Landon gets a shot on the back. He said the catchphrase! Ichiban is definitely upset by this and turns on a new level of aggression. Landon is READY for this fight. Ichiban intercepts a springboard with a dropkick. The former Open champ trying to pummel the chest and abs of the good doctor. Gale with a head kick reversal! Springboard clothesline! Backbreaker! Second rope snake eyes, double knees! Back suplex! Kick out! Ichiban escapes the SPO driver! Hale with a springboard stunner! Ichiban hits a destroyer and Hale is sent to the floor. Ichiban chases Hale into the crowd and starts dropping bombs. Hale with a knee clobbers Ichiban cold. Hale makes the ten count back into the ring..Ichiban does NOT. Hale just won!

Winner: Landon Hale (2 pts)

Ichiban is broken in the corner. He is having a BAD MONTH so far. Brother Greatness hits the ring and tries to pull him up. Ichiban does not trust this…BG tries hard to convince Ichiban that the crowd doesn’t care about him….Ichiban looks conflicted but walks past Greatness to the back.

Match 4: Pedro Dones vs Ricky Smokes (JGP B Block)

Pedro faces elimination. Smokes is calling a shot on the crowd. He’s swiping left on all of Worcester’s ladies and is ready to leave Dones on read. Pedro is furious and is coming for that SWIPING FINGER. Ricky makes the mistake of pointing that finger…CHOMP. Pedro gets baseball slid off the apron and Ricky takes over. He tries wearing down Dones. The shot caller is staggered as Smokes doesn’t let up. He blocks a whip, twist the digit. Smokes does NOT like this. He keeps on Dones but gets caught and dropped to the floor. Are we getting another countout? ALMOST! Both guys looking rough. Pedro blocking..Smokes hurting himself throwing punches. Dones with a wheel kick! Topped headbutt! This should be it but Smokes gets a foot on the rope. Dones drops the straps! Smokes hits a strike…he goes for standing stomp…Dones hits a powerbomb! Ricky is out, he stuns Pedro and hits a stampede cutter to put the Shot Caller down and out of the tournament. 

Winner: Ricky Smokes (2 pts)

Match 5: Ray Jaz vs Love Doug (JGP E Block)

I swear to f***, I am gonna sponsor the microphone just so Ray Jaz is explicitly banned from having it. Unfortunately, I don’t see this match going for our favorite Cupid. The crowd is trying to fire him up but Jaz is finally IN a tournament and not banned this time. He is in business mode. Doug hits the bull dog. He tries the rebound lariat but Jaz grabs the arm and jacks it into the rope. Jaz flies in with a clothesline and he has a target on that arm. Jaz smashes it right into the ring post. This is looking real dire as Jaz is walking Doug down and tossing him around with ease. Doug with a shot to Jaz and starts to come back. He escapes a bomb into a rana! Rebound lariat but Jaz is right in the ropes. It’s a trap, Jaz pops the top rope right into Doug’s throat, slingshots into the backslide and you know the rest. 

Winner: Ray Jaz (2 pts)

 Match 6: Gnome Friends (Kennedi Hardcastle & Gabby Forza) vs Zayda Steele & Shannon LaVangie (w/ Paris Van Dale)

These are two of our faves and we have been waiting all night for this. Kennedi and Gnomie are running the Bratz WAY over. This is pretty great UNTIL Shannon blindsides Gabby and send her to the floor. Zayda with a huge backstabber off the corner to Kennedi. Gabby recovers but she stuck in the corner while Zayda and Shannon run roughshod over Hardcastle. Shannon matrixes a lariat and Kennedi runs into a superkick. Paris is distraught as Hardcastle hits a double dropkick! Tag to Gabby? Paris pulls her off the apron! Gabby lays Van Dale out! Spear to Zayda! Press slam to Shannon! Gabby’s leg gets grabbed in the corner as Shannon slips Kennedi and hits a reverse piledriver on Her for the win while Gabby cannot help. The bratz get another win on Kennedi.

Winners: Zayda & Shannon
 

 Match 7: Bryce Donovan & Bobby Orlando (JGP A Block)

Shook Crew EXPLODES! Bryce Donovan is facing elimination. Will he go too far against his partner to stay in the hunt? Worcester doesn’t like its resident parents fighting. Bryce tries to sneak a quick pin. Nope. Bobby tries a hug…it’s a trap! Bryce kicks out! They hug. They hug ref Scott. No really they have to fight now. But they do know each other and how to avoid each other’s STUFF(tm). Bryce takes an errant shot to the eye and he is MAD. This fight just took a turn. Bryce going right at it. It looks like Bobby hurts his knee on a slide. Bryce doesn’t quite believe it and rolls up Orlando. Bobby kicks out but he is clearly not doing well. Bryce says to call the match if Bobby can’t continue. Bobby won’t quit. Bryce scrambles with Bobby and he whips his partner. Bobby falls right down. Big fallaway slam. Bobby still kicking out. Bryce won’t target the knee. He goes for the choke. This is as merciful as he can be to a partner that will not give up when he rightly should. Bobby can’t even stand for the ripcord. The ref tries to talk him down. Bryce is clearly frustrated but Orlando starts showing life. He manages to slip a chokeslam and hit a DVD! Bobby’s knee is slowing him down and Bryce is able to dodge a sick trick. Bryce with a black hole slam! That should be it. Bobby kicks out! He goes for the sick trick. Bryce trying a chokeslam off the top! Bobby bombs him out of the corner! Too rope elbow! Bryce kicks out! Orlando pulls Bryce up but eats a black hole slam and a chokeslam! Bobby kicks out! We might be going to a time limit draw! Bryce picks up Bobby from the ground for another chokeslam. Kick out! We have one minute left and Bryce is VERY conflicted. He fires up and grabs the leg…he could end this but he steps away and waits for the clock. Bobby snatches a rollup with 7 seconds left! He gets the win! Bryce is out of the tournament and clearly upset as he walks past Bobby’s handshake. He reconsiders and hugs Bobby. Mom and Dad are back together. Phew!

Winner: Bobby Orlando (2 pts)

Rich Palladino brings out Jermaine Marbury, who should have been fighting Brad Hollister tonight for the Wrestling Open title. Instead Brad got injured last week in an altercation with Marbury and had to have emergency dental surgery. The title match is on hold until the champ is back but this could be a dream come true for him, with one three count. Rich asks if Marbury is afraid of Bacon’s retribution? Before he can answer, TJ Crawford hits the ring. He is furious. He says he could take Jermaine out but instead, he’s dropping some big business FACTS. Bacon is sending him to the back of the bench. And next week? Jermain better brings friends to face him and Brick City next week. Marbury is more than happy to make this a personal fight with all of big business. Even Benny the Basketball is standing up to the Silver Sniper. 

Main Event: The Kelly’s (Westfield & Grayson) vs Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) (for the IWTV tag team championships) 

This match kind of writes itself, a classic power vs speed affair. Maybe the one thing I am less convinced about is the Kelly’s AS challengers for the IWTV prize. They have potential but the feel I’m getting from the crowd is “Of the many challengers MG has faced, they are certainly one”. Flash getting pummeled in corner for a good chunk of time. Desperation ddt and headkick, tag to Kylon! King flies in! Kelly’s are dropping! Huge swanton for two! They go for the Powerplex but it’s intercepted! Dustin firing up two on one! They catch the handspring and bomb Flash for two! Kylon’s back, clear the ring. Double superplex! Kylon with a moonsault. Flash splash for the win. The Kelly’s definitely showed their potential hanging with MG…but this may have been too soon for them to have taken a L at this level. 

Winners: Miracle Generation

And the ranch music hits. Steven Stetson and Hammer Tunis have the call your shot contract. They are turning in the contract…but not tonight.  The ranch is surprisingly honorable…I think? They do get to choose the stipulation. That could be a problem for people who hate the ranch….which is everyone.
