MASATO TANAKA, MICHAEL OKU, LIO RUSH, GRINGO LOCO & MORE SET FOR WXW 16 CARAT GOLD 2024, FULL DETAILS

WXW in Germany, which can be watched on the WWE Network & Peacock, issued the following:

wXw-Germany 16 Carat Gold 2024

wXw 16 Carat Gold is Europe’s biggest festival. Running since 2006 previous winners include industry greats like Walter (Gunther), Ilja Dragunov, Tommy End (Malakai Black), Chris Hero (Kassius Onoo), El Generico (Sami Zayn), Jonathan Gresham and SHINGO.

Up to 1.500 wrestling fans from all continents travel to Oberhausen to engage in a three day festival with a total of seven events. While the three evening shows focus on the 16 Carat Gold Tournament and prestigious wXw title matches, matinee events have different concepts. For example: AMBITION is a shoot-style pro wrestling event in the Battlarts style. For We Love Wrestling Wildcard Edition over 200 wrestlers worldwide sent in applications and wXw selected 18 international wrestlers to debut for the promotion. 

So far 10 out of the 16 wrestlers for 16 Carat have been confirmed. They are Japanese legend Masato Tanaka, Lio Rush, 1 Called Manders, Luke Jacobs, Gringo Loco, Joseph Fenech Jr., Michael Oku, Peter Tihanyi, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and New Japan young lion Oskar Leube returning to Germany. Six more spots will be contested during future wXw shows with Mike D vs. Leon Slater and Laurance Roman vs. Bobby Gunns (both set for wXw Dead End 9/2 Hamburg) being the announced qualifiers.

For Ambition so far confirmed are Matt Makowski, Thomas Shire, Jaden Newman and Jay Joshua. 

For the unique We Love Wrestling Wildcard Edition an international roster was selected including upcoming North American Independent Standouts such as Travis Williams, Landon Hale, Ryan Clancy, Rachel Armstrong and Channing Thomas, but also veterans like Derek Neal or UK Top Wrestlers such as Liam Slater and Safire Reed.
