It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, VA. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Kevin Kelly, and Nigel McGuinness.
Adam Copeland comes to the ring with a mic. He says he’s here, he’s in his gear and he’s ready to see who will step up to face him.
Lee Moriarty answers the challenge, and Shane Taylor is his mouthpiece. We also get a quick video introduction, which is a great idea and I hope they keep doing it for people who haven’t had a spotlight lately.
Stokely Hathaway joins commentary.
Adam Copeland vs Lee Moriarty
They lock up collar and elbow and trade arm bars. Copeland gets a headlock takeover and Lee works free with a head scissors. Copeland gets out and puts the headlock back on. Copeland works Moriarty over in the corners. Copeland is able to drop Moriarty on the apron, and the pace is slow and eliberate. Moriarty drops Copeland’s arm over the top rope and then hits a shotgun dropkick as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Copeland gets a slam on Moriaerty. Copeland gets a big boot and then a face first slam. He then gets a pull down slam for two. Copeland goes to the top and Moriarty meets him there and pulls him down by the arm he’s been working on through the break. Moriarty gets a late cover for two. Moriarty gets the Motor City Stretch in the middle of the ring. Copeland is able to move them to the ropes for the break.
Moriarty lays in stomps and goes to the top again. Copeland knocks his feet out from under them. He then lays in blows on Moriarty’s back. Copeland hits an avalanche fallaway slam from the second rope and then calls for the spear. Shane Taylor distracts Copeland and Moriarty comes in for a big boot. Copeland dodges a leap from the top rope and hits the floor to spear Taylor.
Copeland is hit by a dive by Moriarty and when Copeland returns to the ring, Moriarty leaps into an arm bar. Moriarty tries to lock on a stretch, but Copeland escapes and they trade blows. Copeland wins the exchange with Moriarty having trouble getting up. Copeland hits a big boot and a back breaker. Copeland locks on the Grindhouse and Moriarty has to tap.
Winner: Adam Copeland
It looks to me like the Copeland challenging a young talent at the start of the show is going to be a thing now.
Copeland says he is still coming for Christian Cage.
We then have Lexi Nair with FTR and Garcia talking about their upcoming match with House fo Black. They say they will co-exist in order to get revenge on House of Black.
Lexi is with Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho, and they say they will win the AEW Tag Team Titles on Battle of Belts.
Brian Cage and Gates of Agony ( Toa Leona and Bishop Kaun ) Ring of Honor Six Man Champions vs Lance Archer, The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) w/Jake Roberts
Archer starts with Cage and they jack jaws and shove each other. Archer clubs down Cage and Cage responds with a suplex. Archer drops Cage with a lariat and tries for a chokeslam. Cage escapes and gets a German suplex. Kaun is tagged in and he and Archer take a cross body from Archer, who tags in Vincent.
Vincent gets a flying strike into a two count. Kaun hits a senton for two. Vincent is forced to the wrong corner and Leona tags in, hits a big splash for two. Vincent is worked over in the corner with quick tags. Dutch and Archer get in the ring and all six men are fighting as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Dutch takes down Kaun with a cross body. Archer tags in and tries for a belly to back, but Kaun lands on his feet and hits a DDT on Archer. Vincent and Dutch get in the ring and Kaun is able to drop them, but Archer gets a chokeslam. Cage comes in behind Archer and hits a death valley driver. Time for everyone to get a finisher on the last person in the ring.
Dutch hits a dive over the top onto the other team. Archer sets up for black out, but Prince Nana holds onto Kaun’s leg to stop it. Jake hits a DDT on Nana. Vincent is tagged in and Dutch hits a slam and Vincent hits a flying head butt for two. Cage comes in but is taken out by Archer. Vincent puts a guillotine choke on Kaun as everyone else fights on the floor. Leona gets into the ring and they hit Vincent with a p[ounce and a cover for two broken up by Archer.
Care and Archer fight to the floor. Kaun hits a side slam on Vincent for two. Vincent gets a jack knife for two. Kaun is able to get a pedigree for the pin and the win.
Winners and still Ring of Honor Six Man Tag Team Champions: The Mogul Embassy
Prince Nana grabs a mic and says his team is the best champions of all time. He says that the Bang Bang Gang says they want their titles, but they couldn’t beat Swerve Strickland. They are such great guys, they will give them a title shot on Wednesday.
In the back, Lexi is with Preston Vance, and Roderick Strong and The Kingdom show to wish him luck. Vance says it is his time, and next week, he’ll kick his ass too.
Dustin Rhodes vs Willie Mack
They shake hands to start the match.
They lock up and move to running the ropes. Mack gets an arm drag and Dustin does the same. Mack gets a loud chop, and Dustin hits a kick and a drop down uppercut, covering for two. They shake hands again and Dustin turns it into a headlock. They run the ropes again and Mack hits a leaping kick followed by a standing moonsault for two. Dustin hits a chop and Mack hits a kick and goes to the top where he misses a frog splash.
Dustin hits a destroyer and follows with a power slam for two. Mack gets a step up insigiri in the corner and then charges into a forearm from Dustin. Dustin hits crossroads and then a slam for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dustin Rhodes
Dustin helps Mack up and they hug.
Bullet Club Gold is backstage and mock the Mogul Embassy. Jay White then says they will go home with the six man title.
When they see Hook show up backstage.
Dustin is with Renee Paquette, and before he can talk, Christian Cage and his team show up and say any friend of Adam Copeland is an enemy of his. Dustin tells him he wants Cage’s title. Cage says it’s a beautiful dream, and a bigger dream if his father was still alive. Really good faceoff between the two and it makes me wish Dustin did more promos like that.
Adam Page vs JD Drake w/wAnthony Henry
I guess it’s safe for Page to show up on Collision now.
They lock up and Page forces them into the ropes. They go to the corner and when they break, Drake shoves Page’s face. Page lays in blows on Drake in response. Drake gets a shoulder tackler and they go back to running the ropes. Page gets a drop kick and then a headlock takeover. Drake works free and drops Page with a chop.
Drake lays in chops in the corner. Page reverses and does the same. Page goes up top and lays in five blows on Drake, who tries to carry him out, but fails. Page hits a Moonsault and then a running flip onto Drake for two. Drake rolls to the outside. Page hits Drake with a drop kick in the back. He leaps over Drake and after dodging an attack by Henry, Drake tosses Page into the ropes and clotheslines him coming off onto the floor and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, they are in the ring. Drake grabs a waistlock, but Page fights free. Drake goes to the floor because of a low bridge, and Page hits a lariat on him. Drake is rolled into the ring and Page goes to the top. Page hits a flying cross body for two. Page lays in blows and Drake won’t go down. Drake tosses Page out of the ring and Page skins the cat to get back in and picks up Drake for a Death Valley Driver. Page tries for a deadeye but can’t lift Drake at first but gets a back body drop the second time. Drake hits a belly to belly and a cannonball in the corner. Drake goes to the top but misses a moonsault.
Page goes to the apron, hits a moonsault onto Henry, and then hits the buckshot on Drake for the pin and the win.

Deonna Purrazzo vs Red Velvet
They lock up and break quickly. Purrazzo gets an arm drag and a hip toss and dodges Velvet’s kicks. Purrazzo grabs a side headlock and is shot to the ropes. Velvet finally gets a flying kick and lays in a series of blows. She runs up the ropes for an arm drag, but Purrazzo holds on for an arm bar, and Velvet gets to the ropes.
Velvet goes to the floor and Purrazzo gets a baseball slide into her. Velvet is rolled into the ring and Purrazzo gets a flatliner and goes into the Koji Clutch. Velvet rolls her onto her back for one. Velvet gets a face buster and covers for two. Velvet works over Purrazzo’s arm on the mat. Purrazzo whips Velvet to the corner, but Velvet gets a flipping arm drag for two.
They fight in the corner and then Velvet locks on an arm bar. Purrazzo breaks free and they trade chops and kicks. Purrazzo gets a leg sweep and then locks on the arm bar. Purrazzo locks a second arm into the arm bar and Velvet has to tap out.
Winner: Deonna Purrazzo
The Hook Signal is lit, and Hook and his unfortunate hair are on their way to the ring.
Hook (FTW Champion) vs the already in the ring Kevin Matthews
Hook suplexes KM out of the ring. Hook leaves the ring and suplexes KM on the ramp. He rolls KM into the ring and lays in crossbody strikes from behind and then the redrum for the pin and the win.

House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) vs Daniel Garcia and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)
Buddy and Dax start by locking up and going to the ropes and the corner. Buddy breaks with a chip and then lays in more chops in the corner. Dax fires back, hits a suplex and a leg drop. Cash is tagged in. Cash gets a brain buster for one only. He lays in chops and tags in Garcia. He runs into a big boot from Buddy and Black tags in. Black gets an arm drag and they trade mat moves. Garcia gets an arm drag and then sits like Black.
Black sets to do the dance and instead flips Garcia the bird and grabs him. Garcia tosses him to the floor, kicks the income Buddy to the floor and as King gets in the ring, so do FTR. FTR nail king and they clothesline him out of the ring. Then FTR and Garcia take the Black seat in the ring as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Garcia tosses Buddy to the floor and tags in Cash. \King gets in the ring as well. Cash gets a pair of drop kicks and a series of clotheslines. Cash knocks Buddy and Black to the floor and works over King in the corner. Cash dodges a charge from King and Dax is tagged in. Cash and Dax work together to take King down for two. Dax lays in chops and King ignores them and gets to his feet. King is able to drop Dax for two.
King works over Dax in the ropes. King then whips Dax to the corner and brings him over to his corner where they work over Dax with quick tags. Dax is able to get away and tries a head butt dive from the top and misses. Buddy knocks Dax to the outside and King works him over on the floor. They bring Dax back into the ring and go back to work and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full scream Buddy gets a cover for two after a double kick from him and Black. Dax is able to get a DDT on Buddy and they both crawl to their corner. Buddy tags in Black. Dax tags in Garcia, who runs wild. Garcia fights off the entire House of Black and Cash dives on the whole team. Garcia gets a brain buster on Black for two.
Black gets a surprise roll up for two. Buddy attacks Garcia, and Garcia cuts him off. King gets in the ring and Garcia gets a guillotine choke, but King tosses him to the mat. FTR grab King, and invert him for Garcia to come off the top for a pile driver. Everyone gets a finisher on the last person, ending with everyone down in the ring or at ringside.
Black and Garcia are the two legal men, but everyone pairs up and fights in the corner. FTR take out Buddy and King. Cash gets a big bulldog on Black off of Garcia’s shoulders for two. FTR sets for power and glory, but Buddy knocks Dax off the top. Garcia takes him place and they try to hit it on Black, but Black gets his knees up and takes out Garcia. Black grabs a knee bar on Dax. Dax gets to the ropes, and everyone else is brawling around the ring.
Dax knocks Black down from the top and fights off Buddy. Dax is dropped onto the floor and Black hits a moonsault onto Garcia on the floor. Buddy gets a power bomb for two and he and Dax trade two counts. Dax gets a pile driver and covers for two. Black gets in the ring and Dax fights him off. Dax fights King off as well. Buddy hits a curb stomp for the pin and the win after Black nails Dax with a spin kick.
Winners: House of Black
