AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, FL. Our commentary team is Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone.

We start with Chris Jericho coming to the ring. He explains how his team for the 8 man tag at World's End tomorrow got together. Jericho says that Sting called him and said he doesn’t like him, but he respects him and has his back. Jericho says he needs to figure out some things with Sammy Guevara.

Sammy comes to the ring, Jericho asks why Sammy joined the Callis Family months ago. Sammy says it is hard to be in his shadow. He blamed Jericho for why he wasn’t where he wanted to be, but it wasn’t Jericho holding him back, but he was holding himself back and now he needs to quit blaming people and be the man.

Jericho says he is sorry as well, and he can be controlling, but he is one of Sammy's biggest fans. Jericho then asks after the 8 man tag, he has a tag team title shot and he needs a partner. They hug and are reunited as Le Sex Gods.

In the back, Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard, and Menard talks about how Brody King attacked him.  Garcia says they will fight back against the House of Black.

Ruby Soho w/Saraya and Harley Cameron) vs Marina Shafir w/Nyla Rose

They lock up collar and elbow and Shafir shoves Soho back. They lock up again and Shafir forces them into the corner. Ruby is able to grab a handful of hair and pulls Shafir to the mat. Shafir pops up and Soho goes to the outside where Rose intimidates her. Soho goes back in the ring and Shafir gets in a series of kicks. After Cameron grabs at Shafir’s legs, Soho is able to get a back trip on Shafir.  Shafir goes to the outside where Saraya and Cameron are wasting, but Rose comes to that side of the ring and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Shafir hits a clothesline and hits a back breaker on Soho. Shafir tries a rear chin lock, but comes off the ropes for a kick and a cover, but Saraya gets on the apron. Rose grabs Saraya and Cameron jumps on her back. As Rose gets rid of Cameron, Saraya takes off through the crowd with Cameron chasing them.

Soho gets No Future for two. Soho misses a leap off the top and Shafir gets a front face lock. Cameron gets on the apron and when Shafir goes to attack, Soho gets the surprise rollup with a handful of tights for the pin and the win.

Winner: Ruby Soho

In the back, the Don Callis Family is with Big Bill and Ricky Starks. They say they will destroy Jericho and his team.

Renee Paquette is with Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander, who says Stokely Hathaway is lying that she is taking all of the credit for their win at the street fight. She asks if Kris wants to have a match with someone at World’s End.

Stokely Hathaway comes in and says they should face each other, and Kris agrees.  Willow reluctantly agrees. 

ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta (Ring of Honor Pure Champion) vs Matt Sydal

This is a Pure Rules match.

They adhere to the Code of Honor and when the bell rings, they lock up collar and elbow. They move to arm bars and waistlocks. Yuta tries for a rollup and Sydal reverses. They exchange roll ups into the ropes. They trade rollup attempts again. Sydal trips Yuta and hits a standing, twisting moonsault for two. Yuta hits a back body drop and Yuta takes time to cheer himself. Yuta beats down Sydal as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Yuta hits a dropkick and covers for two. Sydal gets a spin kick and both men are down. Sydal gets a series of kicks, a leaping knee, follows with an air raid crash for two. They trade kicks and Yuta does the slingshot into a German suplex with a bridge for two. Yuta gets a backdrop for two. Yuta locks on a rear chinlock with a trapped arm, and Sydal has to use his first rope break.

Yuta nails Sydal with a fist, but the ref doesn’t see it. Sydal gets a casadora roll up for two. Yuta rolls Sydal down and hits the hammer and anvil elbow. He follows with a seatbelt and rolls it into a pin for three.

Winner and still Ring of Honor Pure Rules Champion: Wheeler Yuta

Danhausen comes out with a mic and he says he is the 4th judge for the match. He says he saw Yuta cheat, so he lost. Yuta drops Danhausen and tells him to kiss his ass. 

Yuta starts the hammer and anvil elbows, and Hook comes to the ring. Yutas bails as Hook comes to the ring.

We get a recap of the feud between MJF and Samoa Joe for the AEW World Title.

It's time for the Main Event.

Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, and Rocky Romero vs Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin) and Action Andretti

• Cassidy and Andretti start and they each get quick roll ups for a two count

• Cassidy takes Andretti down with a dropkick with hands in his pockets. Trent tags in and they both drop Andretti with a back elbow and Trent covers for two.

• They trade blows and Trent wins

• Darius tags in and he and Trent run the ropes and then trade chops in the corner. 

• Trent gets a meteora.

• Darius gets a arm drag and a dropkick.,

• Trent is in the Top Flight corner and they work over Trent with quick tags and high-flying moves. 

• We get a triple dive from Top Flight onto Cassidy’s team as we go to picture in picture

• When we return to full screen, Rocky and Andretti are trading blows in the middle of the ring. 

• Rocky sends him up and over when he charges in, but Andretti is able to get kicks in on Rocky from the apron. 

• Andretti gets a flying tackle from leaping over the top rope and both men are down.

• Trent is tagged in and Dante tags in as well

• Dante dodges a splash in the corner and works over Trent with kicks and hits a crossbody for two

• Darius is tagged in and then nails Trent with kicks, a flatliner and covers for two with Cassidy breaking it up.

• Everyone hits a finishing move on the last person to get a finishing move. 

• Trent is dropped with a suplex and Andretti hits a 450 off the top rope for two, broken up by Trent’s teammates. 

• Cassidy tags in Dante gets a back kick and it’s another attack on the last person to come into the ring until Andretti hits a rope assisted moonsault onto Trent on the floor.

• Rocky tosses Andretti into the ring and goes to the top, but Andretti gets a leaping kick on him 

• Trent hits a release German suplex off the top.

• Trent sets for strong zero, but Darius cuts off Rocky. 

• Darius kicks Trent, but Cassidy hits an Orange Punch.

• Dante rolls up Cassidy for two

• Cassidy tries for an Orange Punch on Dante, but Dante stops him with a leaping kick

• Rocky is tagged in and leaps into a slam from Dante, who covers for the pin and the win.

Winners: Top Flight and Action Andretti
