Season 2, Episode 15: What’s In The Box?

We start with a recap of last week’s title match which ended with a DQ as Tormenta attacked The Beast.

We start the show with Abalene Maverick to talk to the crowd where she puts herself over.

We also get a recap of Jessie Jones going back to being a heel with former tag team partner Amber O’Neal, wearing a “Make Wrestling Great Again” hat and attacking Americana.

Adriana Gambino vs Katarina Jinx

Jinx dodges two charges from Gambino and then Gambino dodges Jinx’s kicks and goes to the outside. Every time Gamino goes to get in the ring, Jinx charges her. Gambino tries for a pump kick, but Jinx gets an insigiri, a drop kick, and covers for two. Gambino grabs Jinx off the middle rope and works her over in the corner before covering for two. Gambino gives a short arm clothesline and covers for two. 

Jinx grabs a head scissors on the mat, and Gambino breaks free and drops a knee on Jinx’s arm repeatedly for two. Gambino grabs an arm bar and Jinx fights her way free.  Jinx grabs Gambino from behind and drops her to the mat. Jinx hits a series of sling blades for two. Gambino gets a pump kick and follows with the Chef’s Kiss for the pin and the win.

Winner: Adriana Gambino

Gambino says she has won six times in a row and she deserves a title shot. 

GI Jane and The Classmaster talk about the Trios Tournament and Genesis goes by and says The Exiles will win the tournament. 

Goldie Collins mocks Coach Campanelli backstage. Coach cuts her off with her whistle. Goldie pulls out a whistle and blows it. She says hers is a dog whistle and while Coach can’t hear it, Coach’s partner Ariel Sky seems annoyed by the sound.

Goldie gets a side headlock and Coach reverses it. They run the ropes and Coachgets a shoulder tackle, but Goldie trips Coach. Goldie gets a shoulder tackle and as she brags to the crowd, Coach trips her for two. Goldie get a fireman’s carry, drops down and then covers Coach for two. Goldie works over Coach in the corner.

Goldie hits a sidewalk slam for two. Coach trips Goldie into the turnbuckles. Goldie gets a boot to the midsection and follows with a fisherman’s suplex for two. Goldie misses a leg drop. Coach hits a step up insigiri followed by a Polish Hammer and then hits a Russian Leg sweep for two. Coach hits a buzzer beater for the pin and the win.

Winner: Coach Campanelli

Coach says she has an announcement later tonight.

The Mighty Mites (Sugar and Spice) vs The Last Call (Reina Del Rey and Wrecking Ball)

Mighty Mites are new and are dressed as super-heroes with capes. 

Last Call shove the Mites into the ropes and then put their hands on their heads to keep them from attacking. Spice is left in the ring with Del Rey, and we are told that Spice is only 4 foot 8 inches. Spice kicks Del Rey into the ropes and Del Ray hits a shoulder block. Sugar tags in, as does WB. Sugar hits a lung blower and a drop kick to the knee. She follows with a splash and then a cartwheel splash for one.

Sugar tries for a spinning DDT and is instead whipped to the corner. Del Rey tags in and runs into Sugar. Del Rey carries Sugar around the ring and Spice gets the blind tag. Del Rey tosses Spice into Sugar. WB is tagged in and they each grab one of Spice’s arms. Spice tries to come off the ropes with an arm drag, but they block it and slam her. 

WB hits a series of elbow strikes and Del Rey tags in. She stomps down Spice, but Spice tries to get in a series of blows, but Del Rey cuts her off. Del Rey charges as Spice ducks down, and Del Rey Spills to the floor. Sugar is tagged in by Spice and they double drop kick WB to the floor.

Sugar and Spice try for a dive, but are cut off. Del Rey and WB get into the ring and drop Spice on Sugar and both cover them for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Last Call

We hear Coach’s whistle and she shows up alone. She says they have been in a long search for their newest member She calls for Ariel and brings out a box that has someone in it, and it walks to the ring. They lift off the box and the newest member of Team Spirit is Pep Riley.

The Main Event: The Tonga Twins (Kona and Kaoz) WOW Tag Team Champions vs Las Bandidas (Sylvia Sanchez and Vivian Rivera) w/Sophia Lopez 

Sanchez and Kaoz start off and Sanchez charges into Kaoz and is shoulder tackled down. Sanchez tries for a cross body and Kaoz catches and slams her for two.  Rivera breaks up the count . Kaoz whips Sanchez into their corner and Kona tags in. They whip Sanchez back into their corner and hit a double back elbow for two, and Rivera breaks it up again. Sanchez fights out of a slam and hits Kaoz with a chip block. They hit a double drop kick for two. Kaoz is whipped to their corner, where the Bandidas work her over with quick tags. 

Kaoz is finally able to get Rivera on her back and rams her into the turnbuckles in a neutral corner. Kaoz then hits a head butt and takes in Kona, who cleans house. Kona and Kaoz hit stereo Samoa drops for the pin and the win.

Winners and still WOW Tag Team Champions: The Tongas Twins

The CW special was a repackaging of the profiles they have on Pluto TV by Entertainment Tonight.  It’s a good introduction to the promotion if you are interested.
