WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch is currently slated to be released from The Florida Department of Corrections on 1/7/40.
Sytch is in the process of appealing her judgment and current sentencing.
WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch was transferred from Volusia County Corrections to a prison facility in Ocala, Florida the same day the appeal was filed after being sentenced to 17 years plus another 8 years of probation on 11/28.
At that sentencing, her attorneys verbally noted that they intend to file an appeal to get her sentencing reduced. As of today, there are no court records that indicate that appeal was filed.
On the civil lawsuit front, Sytch is still facing a lawsuit filed by the estate of Julian Lasseter, who perished in the traffic incident that led to Sytch's arrest in March 2022 for one count of DUI causing death (DUI Manslaughter, a felony in the third degree), one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license (a felony in the third degree), four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property.
Sytch entered a plea in August of nolo contendere in Florida related to the charges. She had previously pleaded not guilty but that changed today. Nolo Contendere is a plea by which a defendant accepts conviction as though a guilty plea had been entered but does not admit fault or guilt. As part of that plea, all the remaining charges (misdemeanors) against Sytch had her time behind bars counted as her sentence for those crimes. Sytch's sentences will be listed as having been served concurrent to the top charges against her.
