AEW Champion MJF appeared to promote the AEW Worlds End PPV this morning on FOX's Good Day New York.
MJF noted that he was happy to be competing at the Nassau Coliseum as he is from the most magical place in the world, Long Island, NY. Now he gets to defend the title against Samoa Joe and he's amped about it.
He was asked about Swerve Strickland. He said Swerve has been talking trash on him, but he's a bum and he's focused on Samoa Joe, who he described as a tank that moves like it has a Ferrari engine. He defeated Samoa Joe before in Queens but this one hits home as Joe has been speaking about him like he's a piece of property and there's only one piece of property in pro wrestling that matters and that's the AEW World title. He wishes Joe luck but he doesn't have a prayer.
MJF was asked about the Burberry Scarf. He said it's a standpoint of excellent. He said he's not ashamed to be rich and isn't a poor but he's here for the people. He's New York's scumbag.
MJF was asked about The Iron Claw and producing the film. He said he's an EP on the film and the film is an emotional roller coaster and will make you laugh and certainly cry. It's an excellent film about pro wrestling and is the absolute best.
MJF was asked about his singing background and they played footage of him as a child talking about wanting to be a pro wrestler on the Rosie O'Donnell Show. He said he knew he was going to be a wrestler when he was a kid because he was born great. He slapped the doctor in the face when he was born. That got a round of laugh from those working behind the camera.
MJF did a hard push for tickets and told Joe he sucks.
