WOW - WOMEN OF WRESTLING REPORT

Nigel is new this week.

They have not updated the roster on their website. It needs a refresh with all of the new characters being added this season. I have said this for three weeks now! Come on, David, get the web people working! The champion isn’t even listed in the roster!  

We get a video package of Abilene Maverick winning the WOW Championship last week. 

WOW Season 2, Episode 14: Everyone Wants the Champion

Exodus vs Kandi Krush

Exodus is alpine as she comes to the ring.

They lock up and quickly move to arm bars and side headlocks. Krush gets an arm drag takeover, and they then work to the ropes where Exodus breaks with a big chop. Krush gets a series of arm drags, followed by a short arm clothesline for one. Exodus gets a series of knees to the midsection and follows with a kick to the back, pie faces Krush and then whips her to the corner. Exodus gets a snap suplex for one.

Exodus gets a dragon sleeper, but Krush reverses for a rollup for one. Exodus gets a back heel trip for two. Exodus clubs Krush down and then locks on a straightjacket hold. Krush is able to break free and gets a discus punch and a bulldog for two. Exodus puts Krush on the second turnbuckle, hits a back stabber for two. 

Krush hits a pop up uppercut and nails a lights out for two. Krush hits a second lights out for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kandi Krush

We get an argument between Americana and Jessie Jones over Jones’s loss last week.  Jones was a better heel anyway. 

Miami Sweet Heat (Lindsey and Laurie Carlson) w/Lana Starr vs Chantilly Chella and Tiki Chamorro

Tiki and Lindsey pull Tiki down by her hair. Tiki responds with a side headlock takeover. Chella is tagged in and they do a double back heel trip and Chella gets a two count. Chella tries for a sunset flip and Lindsey fights it off and whips Chella into the corner. Chella gets a springboard arm drag. Lindsey gets a tilt a whirl backbreaker. 

Laurie tags in and it’s time for them to work over Chella with quick tags in their corner. Chella is finally able to kick Lindsey off and crawl to her corner to tag in Tiki, who runs wild. She gets cut off when Laurie gets into the ring and attacks Tiki from behind. Laurie holds Tiki for Lindsey to hit the flying elbow drop for the pin and the win.

Winners: Miami Sweet Heat

Lana Starr and Miami Sweet Heat insult the crowd and then demand a tag team title match. David says they have to climb back up the ladder. 

In the locker room, Amber O’Neil is back and tells Jessie Jones she is distracted and needs to remember what she used to do when they were a tag team. She hands Jones a “Make Wrestling Great Again” cap, which was her old gimmick. 

Fury vs Princess Aussie

They lock up collar and elbow and move to arm bars. Aussie grabs a side headlock and Fury gets a waist lock takedown. Aussie reverses and gets an arm bar.  Fury works to her feet and drives Aussie to the corner and they trade blows. Fury gets an air raid crash for two. Fury lays in boots. Aussie gets a spinning back kick, and Fury knocks Aussie into the ropes and gets a knee in her back and headbangs for a count of four.

Fury snaps Aussie off the ropes and then covers for two. Aussie fires up and gets a flying head scissors and then hits a cutter. Aussie goes to the top and hits the frog splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Princess Aussie

Princess Aussie has a mic and tells the crowd her dream was to be the WOW Champion, but Abilene Maverick stole the title lat week. She said she didn’t feel like a champion tonight, but standing here now makes her different. They can take everything from her, but nothing will stop her.

A big box is put in the ring and Nigel gets into the ring.  They present a Trios Tournament Trophy. Teams of three will complete to see who will be the first trios champions.

We then get a video package to reintroduce the new WOW Champion, Abilene Maverick, the Governor’s Daughter who was an old school rich woman heel.

In the locker room, Jessie Jones attacks Americana in the locker room.

Abilene Maverick (WOW Champion) vs The Beast

They lock up and Maverick forces them into the ropes. Beast then shoves Maverick down and follows with a spear and Maverick rolls to the floor. Maverick calls for a time out. She rolls back into the ring and then right back out. Beast chases her around the ring and Maverick kicks a leg when Beast follows her into the ring. Maverick works over the leg and then slams Beast’s head into the mat before going back to the leg. 

Beast recovers enough for a black hole slam and then whips Maverick into the corner. Maverick hits a back elbow out of the corner. Beast hoists Maverick and then just slams her onto the mat. Beast hits a power slam and Tormenta gets in the ring to interfere. 

Winner by DQ: The Beast

Tormenta and Beast are pulled apart and Maverick runs to the back, still champion.
