REPORT: WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY, PARAMOUNT GLOBAL LOOKING AT MERGER

AXIOS.com is reporting that Warner Bros. Discovery's David Zaslav met with Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish on Tuesday in New York City to discuss a potential mergers for the two broadcast powerhouses.  The meeting took place at Paramount HQ in Times Square.

WBD is the current home of AEW, which airs on TBS and TNT.  They will premiere a new reality series Big Little Brawlers, focused on the Micro Wrestling Federation out of Pigeo Forge, TN next month.

Paramount is the parent company of MTV, Comedy Central, CBS, Paramount+ and many other outlets.  It does not currently have any pro wrestling programming but MTV hosted Wrestling Society X in the past.  Their distribution arm syndicates WOW - Women of Wrestling, which PWInsider.com has been told could lead to the promotion landing on Viacom at some point in the future, but to date, that has not happened.
