AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live at the Curtis Cutwell Center in Garland TX.  Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Kevin Kelly, and Nigel McGuinness. 

I guess this is a “Winter is Coming” episode as well.

We get quick promos for everyone in the Continental Classic tonight.

Andrade El Idolo vs Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Classic match

Claudio holds out a hand and Andrade avoids it. They lock up and Claudio forces them into the corner. They lock up again and Andrade rolls them into the ropes. They shove each other and hit shoulder blocks. Claudio grabs Andrade and tosses him into the ropes and Andrade hits the tranquilo pose. Andrade dodgers Clauidio’s charge and Cl;audio goes to the outside and comes in with a clothesline. Claudio stomp Andradee down in the corner and then whips Andrade across the ring, where he goes up and over and hits a cross body for two.

Claudio grabs the legs and goes for the big swing, but Andrade escapes and rolls to the floor. When Andrade gets in the ring, Claudio stomps him down in the corner. Andrade is whipped into the ropes and gets a hurricanrana and a kick, knocking Claudio to the floor. Andrade leaps and Claudio nails him with an uppercut. Andrade is rolled into the ring and Claudio grabs a two count.

Claudio gets uppercuts in the corners. On the third one, Andrade hits a low drop kick and starts working over Claudio’s leg. Claudio is able to get a pop up uppercut for two and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Andrade works out of a submission hold by Claudio. Claudio charges at Andrade in the corner and Andrade dodges. Andrade takes down Claudio with a flying forearm and then misses a leaping double knee, allowing Claudio to get the big swing. He then steps through and gets a sharpshooter. Andrade rolls through and reverses to a figure four. Claudio rolls back and forth and then crawls to the ropes for the break. 

Andrade struggles to get to the top and Claudio meets him there with uppercuts. They fight on the top with Andrade getting an avalanche power bomb for two. Andrade gets the running double knees in the corner for two. Andrade goes to the top again and Claudio meets him with an uppercut. Claudio gets a superplex, but Andrade then holds on for two suplexes. Claudio gets out of it and they fight in the corner where Andrade has taken off the turnbuckle cover. They trade blows and kicks in the middle of the ring and Andrade hits a back elbow for two.

They fight in the corner again and Claudio pulls Andrade’s legs so that he comes down on the exposed steel. Claudio gets a low blow when the ref 9is busy and then hits a face first Gotch style piledriver on Andrade for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting three points: Claudio Castagnoli

Abadon vs the already in the ring Jazmin Allure

Abadon takes allure down and then pounds her. Abadon slams Allure, and Allure gets in a few strikes before dropping Allure with the Black Dahlia for the pin and the win.

Winner: Abadon

The lights go out.

When they come on, Julia Hart is in the ring and lays the TBS title in front of Abadon, who attacks her. They roll on the mat trading blows. Abadon gets a running knee and grabs the title. Skye Blue comes into the and her an Abadon stare at each other before they both go toward Hart, but Blue then joins with Hart against Abadon.  

Thunder Rosa gets into the ring and takes out Blue. Rosa and Abadon back into each other. Rosa holds out her hand and Abadon shakes it. 

The Acclaimed are in the back with Renee Paquette, and they swear vengeance on The Devil and his minions. Top Flight and Action Andretti challenge them for the Trios Titles. The challenge is accepted for next week on Collision.

Orange Cassidy (AEW International Champion) vs Bryan Keith

Crowd is behind home town boy Brian Keith.

They lock up and Keith quickly gets a shoulder tackle. He gets a second after shooting Cassidy into the ropes and then takes him down with a side headlock. They run the ropes and Keith puts on the brakes as Cassidy goes for the pockets. Keith lays in a chop and Cassidy comes off the ropes with a drop kick. Keith gets a double underhook and Cassidy drives them into the corner. Keith gets a series of chops and tosses Cassidy to the corner. Cassidy goes up and over and lays in blows that Keith is able to ignore. 

They run the ropes and Keith gets a big boot. They go to picture in picture, and when they return to fullscreen, they are fighting in the corner and Keith is whipped into the corner. They run the ropes and Cassidy hits the spinning DDT. Ketih rolls to the floor and Cassidy dives onto him. Cassidy rolls Keith into the ring and goes to the top where Keith meets him. They fight on the top and Keith is knocked to the mat and Cassidy doesn’t leap in time and Keith sits up and gets a running head butt.

Keith gets an exploder off the top, follows with a running knee. He grabs Cassidy with a double underhook, but Cassidy turns it into the beach break for two. Cassidy lays in kicks but Keith is able to get up and hit a rising knee strike and then charges into Casidy in the corner and an over the top stunner for two. Cassidy grabs a three quarter nelson and forces Keith down for the pin and the win.

Winner and still international Champion: Orange Cassidy

They show respect to each other after the match.

They remind us that this is Brody Lee’s birthday and send condolences to his family.

Miro is talking about how he doesn’t want to fight Andrade because he’s his wife’s client, but because he’s something they bleep. 

Lexi Nair is with Komander and Roderick Strong and The Kingdom show up and Roddy says that Komander didn’t win the TV title, but he did in the past. He then says Komander is his next victim.

FTR comes to the ring and they say if the House of Black has a problem with them, they need to come out with the magic and light shows. Dax says that they see the success of Brody and Julia, and direct their anger at FTR. Cash says he hears what people say about them, but they do have a problem with being attacked from behind. Cash’s Mic gets cut and the lights go out. 

We get Buddy Matrhews and Malakai Black. He says no one comes to help them, and they want to know who loves Cash. He then says they love them and they welcome them into their family. Malakai says when they attacked them, who came to save them?  No one. They then burn a picture of Dax, his wife and his daughter and set it on fire and FTR runs to the back. 

Buddy says they are their family now.  

We then get a video package about Keith Lee.

Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander vs Mercedes Martinez and Diamante in a Texas street fight. 

Willow and Kris are in Pulp Fiction Cosplay as Jules and Vincent Vega.

The brawl is on the floor quickly with Willow getting smashed in the head with a bottle. Slander and Diamante fight in the ring with a barbed wire bat being used. Willow is cut open by Martinez using part of the bottle and Statlander saves her. They set up the steel steps and when Diamante comes off the steps, she is caught and slammed back into them. They then use a small ladder on Martinez. Diamante is rolled into the ring and she is busted open as well.  Willow covers her for two.

All four are brawling in the ring as we go to picture in picture. The brawl is still going on as they go back to full screen. A sign is set up in the corner and Willow is fighting both Diamante and Martinez. Willow pounces Diamante into the sign and then beats her with it. Martinez takes out Willow with a chair and Statlander and Martinez take each other out. 

Diamante opens the Pulp Fiction briefcase and it is filled with thumbtacks and glass that are dumped onto the mat. Statlanders head is rubbed in them and Willow attacks them from behind. All four women brawl in the ring and Willow is put through a table at ringside. Statlander wraps a chain around her arm and clotheslines Martinez for the pin and the win.

Winners:  Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander

A chaotic brawl to end the mini-feud they have had.  

Renee is in the back with Toni Storm and Mariah May. Toni says she doesn’t care who she faces in the future. May asks if Toni could commentate on her first match, but Toni is far too busy. Toni tells Saraya and Riho to beat each other up to see who she faces at World’s End.

We get comments from Adam Copeland about his feud with Christian Cage. He says he misses the feeling of holding gold and he will remind the world who he is at a No DQ match with Cage at World’s End.

Brian Cage w/Prince Nana vs the already in the ring Kerry Wright (spelling?)

This lasts about 45 seconds.

Winner: Brian Cage

In the back, Lexi asks what is next for Brian Cage and the Gates of Agony. Keith Lee shows and says for them to tell Swerve his patience runs thin and his time is running out.  

Eddie Kingston vs Daniel Garcia in a Continental Classic match

Matt Menard joins commentary.

They lock up collar and elbow and Eddie forces them to the corner. They lock up again and Garcia forces them to the corner. Garcia breaks with a chop and it’s time for them to throw chops in the middle of the ring. Eddie gets a short arm clothesline and they both go to the apron, which I hear is the hardest part of the ring. Garcia gets a dragon screw on the apron. They go back to the ring and Garcia works over Eddie’s leg.

Eddie gets a belly to belly suplex and is selling the leg. Eddie lays in kicks on Garcia and then hits a DDT as we go to picture in picture. When they return to full screen, Eddie has Garcia in a rear chinlock and Garcia fights his way free, but Eddie chops him down. Eddie hits the machine gun chops in the corner.  Twice.

Garcia tries to dance and Eddie hits the machine gun chops again until Garcia is down.  Garcia dodges a charge in the corner and then stomps Eddie down. Garcia hits another dragon screw and then grabs a leg bar, with Eddie getting to the ropes. Eddie grabs a waistlock and Garcia turns it into an ankle lock. Eddie is able to get to the ropes for the break. 

Garcia charges and Eddie grabs him for an exploder into the corner. Eddie gets a spinning back fist for two. Garcia gets a suplex and after Eddie’s leg gives way, he gets a second for two. Garcia tries for a sharpshooter, but Eddie gets to the ropes before it is locked on. They trade slaps in the corner and Eddie gets a suplex followed by the spinning backfist for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting three points, Eddie Kingston.

It’s time for the main event. 

Brody King and Bryan Danielson in a Continental Classic match

Brody tries to manhandle Bryan, who frees himself with kicks to Brody’s legs. When Brody finally gets his hands on him, he goes for the injured eye and then slams Bryan for two. Brody goes back to work on Bryan’s eyes. The eye patch has been pulled down and we see the eye taped as Brody keeps on him. Brody hits a cannonball in the corner. Bryan rolls to the outside and the ref checks to see if Bryan can still fight. 

Brody then slams Bryan’s head into the announce table. He then lays in chops on Bryna into the table as well. Brody tosses Bryan into the barricade. Brody then hits a flying crossbody on Bryan who is sitting in a chair as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they have returned to the ring, and Brody is holding Bryan down on the mat with a boot. He pulls Bryan up and hits a sidewalk slam for two. They are back on the floor and Bryan is busted open. Bryan is put in a chair and Bryan trips Brody when he charges into the chair. Bryan gets a leaping knee. Brody goes to the ring and Bryan gets a shotgun drop kick from the top. 

Bryan gets a running kick in the corner and lays in kicks on Brody. Bryan hits a drop kick into Brody’s knee. Bryan puts Brody on the top and joins him there. Brody drops Bryan on the top rope and then clotheslines him down for a two count. King is up first and Bryan is in the corner. When Brody charges, Bryan goes through his legs and grabs a one legged crab. Brody kicks his way free and both men are down. 

Bryan goes back to kicks on Brody’s leg and Brody shoves him away and Bryan goes back to work until Brody is down. Bryan gets a kick to Brody’s head and he is finally down. He then stomps Brody’s head in. Bryan covers for two. Bryan hits hammer and anvil elbows. Brody picks up Bryan for a death valley driver for two. 

Brody picks up Bryan, who escapes out the back, Brody nails him with a chop into the corner. Bryan dodges a charge and hits the psycho knee for one. Bryan hits the yes kicks, but Brody gets to his feet. Brody hits a lariat on Bryan for two. Brody tries to pick up Byrna, who goes dead weight. Bryan gets a small package for two. Bryan tries the Psycho knee but Brody knocks it away. Bryan hits it the second try and Bryan calls for it a third time. Bryan hits Brody with the third psycho knee in the back of the head for the pin and the win.
