During tonight's WWE Friday Night Smackdown, it was noted that Charlotte Flair would be out upwards of nine months due to her knee injury.
As we reported earlier this week in the Elite section, there was talk at Raw Monday among talents that Flair may have suffered a torn ACL but it wasn't confirmed at the time. The nine month recovery would be in line with an ACL tear, which usually requires at least six months' recovery. If she is out nine months, that puts Flair in the area of a return in September 2024, meaning she would miss both Wrestlemania and Summerslam.
WWE did not specify the injury or whether Flair has undergone surgery.
Flair injured her knee and appeared to also hurt her neck or head striking the mat after slipping on the ropes wrestling Asuka last Friday.
It was the first in-ring injury of her ten year+ WWE run, which is pretty remarkable.
