AEW DYNAMITE IN MONTREAL REPORT

It's WEDNESDAY!!!! AEW Dynamite is live and on the air from Montreal, Quebec.  Taz, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone have the call of the action. Montreal seems VERY excited.

Continental Classic Gold Club: Jon Moxley vs. Rush

They trade forearms immediately. Now they trade chops. Kicks by Moxley. Rush with a takedown via belly to belly. Moxley rolls out and Rush follows. THey fight into the crowd. Rush gets the better of it. Moxley rallies and sends Rush into the barricade. We are now deep into the crowd. Kick by Rush. Beer can smash by Rush. They get back into the ring and trade chops. Double stomp and a kick to the face by Rush. Rush poses and Moxley flips him off.

They trade forearms. Powerslam for 2 by Rush. Rush with an eyerake across the middle rope. Cutter by Moxley. Clothesline by Moxley into a superplex for 2. Slap by Rush and they trade forearms again. They go to the apron and fall to the floor.  Moxley sent to the barricade as we go to commercial.

We are back and it's Rush kicking a downed Moxley. Moxley with a kick to Rush's leg. Piledriver by Rush for 2.  Rush sets him up on the top rope and superplexes Moxley after  a chop.  Moxley sends Rush to the floor and hits a tope. Both men barely beat the 10 count. They trade forearms again. Lariat by Moxley. Discus elbow by Rush. We're back to a fore arm exchange. Headbutt by Rush. Kicks by Rush. King Kong LAriat into a Death Rider for 2 by Moxley. Rear choke by Moxley and Rush is out.

WINNER JON MOXLEY (3 points for the win, 9 points overall)

Rush remains at 3 points.

We see Jay Lethal and Jay White talking about their upcoming match.

Renee Paquette is with Roderick Strong and the Kingdom on the stage. Strong runs down MJF. Strong leaps up from the wheelchair. IT'S A MIRACLE. He slams the mic down after saying the chair held him down far too long.

Back from commercial, Adam Page enters the building and admits he got beat at Full Gear but, by no means, is this over. MJF interrupts and runs down Page. Page walks away but comes back after getting insulted again. They banter back and forth. MJF accuses PAge of being the Devil. Samoa Joe gets between them and sends MJF away as they have a big match ahead of them.

Continental Classic Gold League: Mark Briscoe vs. Swerve Strickland

Lockup. Armdrag by Briscoe. Takedown into a side headlock by Briscoe. Hammerlock into a shoulder block by Briscoe. Side headlock by Swerve into a reversal by Briscoe. Kick by Briscoe. Chops by Briscoe. Suplex for 2 by Briscoe. Uppercut by Briscoe. Strickland with a kick in the corner and a forearm off the rope to the back of the head. Neck breaker by Swerve for 2. Back elbow by Swerve. Briscoe sends Swerve to the floor and nails a dropkick. They trade chops on the apron.  Action falls to the floor. Briscoe gets sent into the crowd. Swerve suplexes him back into the ringside area. We go to commercial.

We are back and Swerve with uppercuts and a neckbreaker. Briscoe retaliates with Redneck Kung Fu. Flying forearm by Briscoe. High boot by Briscoe into a Fisherman Buster for 2.  Swerve sends Briscoe into the buckle. German by Swerve into a face buster. Roundhouse kick for 2 by Swerve. Chops by Briscoe. Punch by Briscoe sends Swerve to the floor. Tope by Briscoe. Lariat by Briscoe for 2. Swerve blocks the Jay Driller. House Call by Swerve. 450 splash blocked by Briscoe's knees.  Froggy Bow gets blocked by Swerve. Swerve with a rollup for 2. 

15 minutes have elapsed. 

Swerve blocks a Jay Driller and nails a death valley driver. Swerve Stomp and Swerve scores the pin.

WINNER SWERVE STRICKLAND (3 points for the win, 9 points overall)

Mark Briscoe, with 0 points, is eliminated.

Renee Paquette is with Mariah May. May is elusive about her first match.

Samoa Joe & MJF vs. The Devil's Masked Men

4 masked men surround Joe.  Lights out. As they come back on, we see MJF has been laid out in the back with a broken beer bottle beside him.  We go to commercial.

Samoa Joe ran to the back to see what happened.

Moxley is backstage. He's happy so far with his performance. Swerve confronts him. That'll be a banger next week.

TCM's Ben Mankiewicz introduces the AEW Women's Champion

AEW Women's Championship: Toni Storm w/Luther and Mariah May vs. Skye Blue

Lockup, headlock takeover by Storm. Headscissor by Blue. Strom with another headlock. Arm twist takedown by Blue, reversal by Storm. Running forearm by Storm. Flying headscissors by Blue. Big forearm by Storm. Luther puts Storm on his shoulders and is able to assist as Storm throws Blue to the floor. Chop by Storm. Storm breaks up the count. Hip attack against the rail as we go to commercial.

We are back and it's the champion eats an enziguiri. Diving cross body for 2 by Blue. Snap German by Storm. Storm misses hip attack. Blue hits hip attack and a running boot to the face. Code Blue for 2 by Blue. Superplex by Storm.Hip attack by Storm and a rollup for the pin.

WINNER AND STILL AEW WOMEN'S CHAMPION TONI STORM

It's the return of Riho. Dropkick by Riho. Storm bails.  Storm and Riho point at each other.

We see a video package featuring Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.

Continental Classic Gold League: Jay Lethal vs. Jay White.

My money is on Jay. Lockup. A "let's go Jay" chant breaks out.  Headlock by Lethal. Lots of counter wrestling and escapes as we reach a stale mate. Chop by White. Rollup by Lethal for 2. Eye rake by Lethal.

A "Lets go Jay! Jay you suck" chant goes up.  I do like Canada.

Elbow to the knee by Lethal. DDT by White. We go to commercial.

As we return White knocks Lethal to the ground. Punch by Lethal. Lethal with a lariat. Backbreaker by Lethal. Torture Rack suplex by Lethal. He hits the Randy Savage elbow for 2. Pump kick by Lethal. Lethal hyperexptends Lethal's knee. Brainbuster by White for 2. They trade chops. Snap dragon by White. White block Lethal Injection and clips Lethal's knee. Rollup by White and he scores the pin.

WINNER JAY WHITE (3 points for the win, 6 points overall)

Jay Lethal, at 0 points, has been eliminated.

The Von Erichs will be in Dallas next week!  That excites me!

TNT Championship: Christian Cage vs. Adam Copeland

Killswitch and The Prodigy are not out with Cage. Slap by Copeland. Copeland with a choke, Cage makes the rope. Copeland with the Sheamus forearms to the chest and he sends Cage to the floor. Copeland follows and slams Cage into the announce table repeatedly.  Cage runs back into the ring and begs off. Copeland block a low blow and stomps Cage's hand. Copeland wrenches the fingers of Cage and sends him back to the floor. Boot to the face by Copeland. Cage gets thrown into the post. Cage with a throat punch as we go to commercial.

Back to live action, Cage rakes eyes of Copeland. Copeland tries a rally but a back elbow by Cage. Copeland bites Cage's hand and hits a Russian Leg Sweep off the 2nd rope. Kick by Cage and Copeland snaps Cage's Neck on the top rope. Diving clothesline by Copeland. Both men lie on the floor. Cage sends Copeland into the steps and into the ring. Frog Splash for 2 by the champion. Copeland blocks a spear and hits a DDT for 2. Copeland goes to the top rope but Cage sweeps his leg. Copeland blocks a superplex and hits a Liger Bomb for 2. 

Eye rake by Cage. Copeland blocks a kill switch and gets 2 on a rollup. Forward power bomb by Copeland for 2. Crossface by Copeland. Cage makes the ropes. Ground and pound by Copeland. Killswitch by Cage after avoiding a spear. Cage miises a spear.  Copeland clipped the ref by accident and Cage stomped the ref to take him out. Cage and Copeland collide heads. 

Nick Wayne's mom comes into the ring and grabs the belt. SHE NAILS COPELAND WITH THE BELT! God she's gorgeous. Killswitch by Cage. Cage stomps Copeland's neck and scores the pin.
