COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It's Wednesday! That means AEW Dynamite is LIVE from the Twin Cities. In a reversal of roles, Cory Strode himself is actually OUT enjoying himself at Dynamite.  Excalibur, Taz & Bryan Danielson, who gets his own separate entrance.  We are reminded that tickets for All In 2 go on sale soon.

Continental Classic Gold League: Jon Moxley vs Jay Lethal

Reminder that no one is allowed at ringside.  Lockup, headlock takeover by Lethal, headscissors by Moxley.  Now it's a headlock takeover by Moxley.  Back elbow by Moxley. Leg sweep by Lethal into a figure 4. Moxley rolls he and Lethal outside.  Lethal with a suicide dive, he misses a 2nd. Suicide dive by Moxley. They are mimicing each other thus far. Punches by Moxley in the corner. Lethal counters into a Dragon Screw. Stomps by Lethal and he punches away at Moxley's knee. They trade forearms. Lethal tries a LEthal Injection but Moxley counters him.  Elbow off the top rope for 2 as we go to commercial.

We are back and Lethal has a front ankle lock. Moxley counters with a cutter. Lethal drives him into the corner. Dragon Screw off the ropes by Lethal. Lethal misses a dropkick. They trade forearms. Back elbow by Lethal. Lariat by Moxley. Lethal Combination by Lethal for 2. Lethal drives the knee into the ground. Rollup by Moxley for 2, followed by another. O'connor Roll by Lethal, they trade counters. Figure 4 by Lethal. Moxley makes the rope. PAradigm shift by Moxley. King Kong Lariat into a piledriver for 2. Choke by Moxley and Lethal taps.

WINNER JON MOXLEY (3 points for the win, 6 points overall)

We see comments from an upset Eddie Kingston, upset over losing to Brody King last week.

It looks like the ROH And NJPW Strong titles are vacant pending the completion of this tournament.

Tony Schiavone is backstage to announce Sting's final match will be March 3rd at the Greensboro Coliseum.  Sting and Flair come out. Sting pays tribute to Flair. Flair hypes up the legacy the two had at the Clash of Champions 1.  Flair brags that they didn't rehearse. Flair seems highly emotional.

Continental Classic Gold League: Mark Briscoe vs. Rush

They trade elbows at the bell. Splash in the corner by Rush but Briscoe with a leg lariat. Chops by Rush. Clothesline and a kick by Rush.  Slap by Briscoe and Rush goes to the floor. Dropkick through the ropes by Briscoe. They trade chops on the floor. Briscoe gets thrown into the barricade. Back suplex on the barricade by Briscoe. Cactus Jack elbow by Briscoe.  Back in the ring they trade chops. They collide. Both men are down as we go to commercial.

Leglock by Rush, Briscoe makes the rope. They trade palm strikes, Briscoe goes down. Exploder by Briscoe. Rush with a belly to belly counter.  Spear by Briscoe off a Bulls Horn attempt. Neckbreaker by Briscoe for 2.  Back elbows by Rush. Enziguiri by Briscoe. Rush with a belly to belly off the apron to the floor. Chop by Rush. Chop by Briscoe into a FRoggy Bow for 2.  Rush counter a Jay Driller. Belly to belly in the corner by Rush.  Running forearm and a Bulls Horns by Rush for the pin.

Mark Briscoe remains at 0 points

We hear from Toni Storm in Black and White. RJ City interrupts her. She claims to not be feeling well. She does a title defense next week.

Tony Schiavone has joined the desk. MJF comes out.  He reminds up that he meets Samoa Joe in Long Island on the 30th. He respects Joe, even if he doesn't like him. He tells of first seeing Joe in TNA. He laments Joe being misused by WWE. He says the road Joe paved allowed men like him to flourish in wrestling.  He thanks Joe.

MJF then reminds us all who he is and how he built AEW brick by brick. He runs down the names he's beaten and how he was lucky to survive last time. MJF does not care about his injuries. He will overcome Joe at World's End.  Lights out. The Devil's minions attack MJF. Joe makes the save.

The Devil, via the big screen, challenges MJF and Joe to a tag team match next week. MJF accepts. Joe doesn't seem to like this.

The commentators say that the AEW IT Dept claims the Devil is hacking them and that's why these videos are going up.

Wardlow vs. AR Fox

Fox with a kick and 2 topes to the floor. Clothesline by Wardlow. Wardlow slams Fox on the apron. Belly to belly by Wardlow. Huge beel toss by Wardlow. Fox to the floor. Wardlow follows him and tosses him back in. Press slam by Wardlow, Fox escapes and kicks Wardlow down. 450 by Fox for 1.  Kicks by Fox. Chokeslam into a clothesline by Wardlow. Powerbomb by Wardlow, followed by another. Wardlow with a senton. Powerbomb by Wardlow and the ref calls it.

WINNER:  WARDLOW

We see footage of when Dante Martin got hurt.

Action Andretti and Top Flight vs. The Hardys and Brother Zay

  • Andretti and Hardy kick us off with rollup counters. Hiplock by Matt. Jeff tags in and they take Andretti down with a face buster
  • Hammerlock by Andretti into a leg sweep.
  • Darius and Zay tag in. Headlock into a shoulder tackle by Zay. They counter quick moves with each other
  • Dante tags in and hits Zay woth a lariat. Senton by Dante. Andretti tags in as we go to commercial
  • Andretti and Matt are fighting. Slingshot by Matt, Jeff tags in and nails a dropkick for 2
  • Matt tags back in and nails a side effect for 2. Andretti counters a twist of fate. Enziguiri by Andretti
  • Dante and Zay tag in. Dante is the house of fire. Knee strike and a deep cross body for 2 by Dante
  • Zay pushes Top Flight into each other. Zay dropkicks Darius off the apron.
  • Zay with a dropkick as the Hardys held Dante up. Zay scores a 2 count
  • It's a 6 way war going on now.
  • Dante scores the pin on Zay

WINNERS TOP FLIGHT & ACTION ANDRETTI

Renee Paquette is with Top Flight and Andretti. Rey Fenix, Penta and El Vikingo challenge them to a match.

TBS Title: Julia Hart vs. Emi Sakura

House rules stipulate that no submissions can occur in this match.  Lockup, Hart slams her into the buckle. Clothesline in the corner followed by a hip attack by the champion. Chops by Sakura. Arm twist take down by Hart. Action goes to the floor and Hart gets sent into the steps. Cross body by Emi as we go to commercial.

Sakura has the champion down. Hart has weak punches. Underhook backbreaker by Sakura. Choke by Hart, Sakura escapes. Surfboard by Sakura. Moonsault missed by Sakura. Hartless by Hart. Sakura taps but it doesn't count. Lariat and stomps by Hart. Hart hits a moonsault for the pin.

WINNER AND STILL TBS CHAMPION JULIA HART

RJ City is with Mariah May. She's dying to show AEW what she can do. May walks into Tony Khan's office

Christian Cage comes out. There is security in the ring. He invites Adam Copeland to the ring. Cory Strode is yelling "ADAM" right now, I sense it.  Copeland comes out. Security gets between them. Cage asks them to vacate the ring. He tells Copeland that he won't make it to Montreal and that he's sorry. Cage says he has some serious soul searching, remembering their history together, declaring them greatest tag team that ever lived. 

Cage says that everyone knows Copeland didn't have a father growing up.  Cage's father acted as Copeland's father figure. Christian says he loved Copeland. Copeland's mother, before she died, wanted them to team one more time.  Cage goes to attack an emotional Copeland but Copeland with a kick to the yambag.  Copeland tells Cage to go F*** himself and walks off.

For the record: the word was not beeped.

Continental Classic Gold Division: Swerve Strickland vs. Jay White

Lockup, they grapple in the corner. Action goes to the floor. White gets thrown into the barricade. Now it's Swerve sent into the barricade. White sends him back in and stomps Swerve. Chops by White, now Swerve chops back. Clothesline by White. Action goes back to the floor and White gets suplexed into the crowd. A fan appears to grab White, security has to intervene. Double stomp by Swerve on the floor. Back in the ring, it's white with a DDT as we got to commercial.

Chicken wing by White as we return. Saito suplex by White into and under and over throw. Knee lifts by White. Arm twist by Swerve into a belly to back suplex. Lefts and rights by Swerve. Headscissors into a flatliner by Swerve into a vertical suplex. Kicks by White. German by White. Discus lariat by Swerve. They trade forearms. White does down. Chop block by White into a uranage for 2. White tries a sleeper but gets the Fujiwara. Roll through by Swerve. Swerve snaps the arm of white. Backbreaker by Swerve. House call by Swerve followed by a Swerve stomp for 2. 

Blade Runner by White but Swerve rolls out. White throws him back in. Rollup for 2 by White. They trade chops. Sleeper Suplex by White. Rollup by Swerve for the pin.

WINNER SWERVE STRICKLAND (3 points awarded, 6 points overall)

Jay White remains at 3 points.
