11/28 NJPW WORLD TAG LEAGUE REPORT FROM AICHI, JAPAN

11/28/23 Results from New Japan's World Tag League 2023 From Aichi, Japan:

1 - Shingo Takagi, BUSHI, Yota Tsuji and Zandokan Jr. vs. Gedo, Taiji Ishimori, Jack Bonza and Bad Luck Fale

Takagi pins Gedo after a Pumping Bomber.

2 - Yuji Nagata, Minoru Suzuki, and Master Wato vs. Hikuleo, El Phantasmo and Jado

Nagata forces Jado to tap out to the Nagata Lock II.

3 - Taichi, Yuya Uemura, and DOUKI vs. Lance Archer, Alex Zane and Ryusuke Taguchi

Uemura pins Taguchi with a Deadbolt Suplex.

4 - Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and YOH vs. Atlantis Jr., Soberano Jr. and Tiger Mask

YOH pins Tiger Mask after a super kick.

World Tag League Matches:

5 - Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona vs. Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd

The match immediately goes to the floor and all four men fight into the crowd.  They battle with chairs and guardrails.   War Dogs bury Kaun and Liona under multiple guardrails.  Kidd hits Kaun with a fire extinguisher.  They make it back to the ring and Gates of Agony make a comeback.   

Kaun pins Kidd after a Pedigree

Gates of Agony earn their first 2 points.

War Dogs remain at 4 points.

Solid brawl by both teams.  Gates of Agony look strong in coming back against the violent War Dogs in this match.

6 - Great O-Khan and HENARE vs. Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL

SHO and Kanemaru come to the ring in the middle of the match.  HENARE is about to dominate when EVIL tosses him into the referee.   EVIL hits a low blow on HENARE.   HENARE counters Everything is Evil with a Spinning Back Fist.   SHO hits HENARE with the wrench.  SHO and Togo hold O-Khan while Kanemaru is about to hit the Suntori Surprise.   O-Khan breaks free and punches Kanemaru in the gut, who then sprays SHO in the face.   Yujiro goes to hit O-Khan with his Pimp Stick but O-Khan sprays Yujiro with the green mist.

O-Khan hits the Eliminator on Yujiro and gets the pin.

United Empire earn 2 points and 4 points total.

House of Torture remain at 2 points.

7 - Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls

Ishii and Nicholls were stiff in this match.  TMDK hit Highway to Hell on Yano.  They hit a Tank Buster on Ishii, who fell out of the ring.   They tried for a Tank Buster on Yano, who escaped and hit low blows on both of them.  

Yano rolls up Haste for a pin.

Yano and Ishii earn 2 points and get to 4 points total.

TMDK remain in the lead of A Block with 6 points.

8 - Ren Narita and Shota Umino vs. Ryohei Oiwa and Kaito Kiyomiya

Good match.   Both team worked hard in this match.  

Umino hits a Blaze Blade and a Death Rider on Oiwa, and gets the pin.

Umino and Narita earn 2 points and 6 points total.   They are tied with TMDK for the lead.

Kiyomiya and Oiwa remain at 4 points.

This is the second time Narita and Umino have win the main event match during World Tag League.  They are consistently being pushed all year from the New Japan Cup, G1 Climax to now World Tag League.  New Japan will be looking to them to lead this company in the near future.
