11/24 NJPW WORLD TAG LEAGUE REPORT FROM YAMANISHI, JAPAN

11/24/23 Results from New Japan's World Tag League 2023 from Yamanishi, Japan:

1 - Master Wato, Ren Narita and Shota Umino vs. Yuto Nakashima, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun

Narita forces Nakashima to tap out to a Cobra Twist.

Ryusuke Taguchi, YOH, Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Gedo, Taiji Ishimori, Gabe Kidd and Alex Coughlin

Taguchi pins Gedo after hitting Bum-aye.  

After the match, War Dogs attack Yano and Ishii and beat them down.   Kidd and Coughlin flip off the crowd and swears at them.  Crowd boos them.   

Good heel work from War Dogs.

BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi and Shingo Takagi vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL

Kanemaru sprays BUSHI with the Suntori Surprise and rolls up BUSHI for a pin.

Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls vs. Callum Newman, HENARE and Great O-Khan

Haste pins Newman after a Last Ride.

World Tag League Matches:

Soberano Jr. and Atlantis Jr. vs. Jack Bonza and Bad Luck Fale

Atlantis had his left shoulder taped up.   He had problem lifting Bonza for a suplex.  

Atlantis pinned Bonza after a Frog Splash.  

Atlantis Jr. and Soberano Jr. earn 2 points with 4 points total.

Rogue Army has 0 points.

Atlantis was clutching his shoulder after the match.

Minoru Suzuki and Yuji Nagata vs. Zandokan Jr. and Yota Tsuji

Tsuji pins Nagata after hitting Vamos Amigo.

Tsuji and Zandokan Jr. earn their first 2 points.

Suzuki and Nagata has 0 points.

YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Alex Zayne and Lance Archer

Goto and YOSHI-HASHI hit Shoto on Zayne.  Archer breaks up the pin.   Archer tosses YOSHI-HASHI to the floor.  Archer drags Zayne to the corner so Archer can legally tag in.   Archer then chokeslams Zayne on YOSHI-HASHI on the floor.

Goto and Archer trade suplexes.  Goto is on the top rope and Archer hits a jumping knee to the face.   Archer hits a Black Out on Goto off the top rope.

Archer pins Goto.

Monster Sauce (Archer and Zayne) earn 2 points and 4 points total.

Bishomon have 0 points.

Archer takes the mic and tells the crowd that they are Monster Sauce and they just beat the champions and they will win World Tag League and be coming for the Tag Titles at Wrestle Kingdom.

Big win for Archer and Zayne.   They have pinned the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.   They could be in line for a title shot down the line.   This is the second loss by pinfall for the Bishomon, who have no points.   Goto and YOSHI-HASHI have been the face of the tag division for several years, so I wonder if New Japan is looking at a change coming at Wrestle Kingdom

El Phantasmo and Hikuleo vs. Yuya Uemura and Taichi

Good competitive match.   Uemura hits a splash on Hikuleo on the floor.   ELP goes for Sudden Death on Taichi, who dodges.   Taichi hits Tensho Juijihou.   ELP is dazed.   Taichi picks him up and hits Black Mephisto.

Taichi pins ELP.

Just 5 Guys earn 2 points and 4 points total.

Guerillas of Destiny have 2 points.

Both teams shake hands after the match.

Taichi and Uemura have just beaten the New Japan Strong Tag Champions.  They could be entitled to a title shot sometime soon.

More importantly, Just 5 Guys are in a tie for the lead in the B Block.
