Episode 134 - Overman vs Beastman
We start with a video about Colby Corino, EC3, and Talos, telling us about where they are in their stories.
Colby Corino (Junior Heavyweight Champion) vs Mo Jabari
This is Jabari's debut.
They start with waistlocks moving to arm bars. JKabari gets a takedown and then Corino gets a takedown for one. They lock up collar and elbow, and go to arm bars. Jabari is able to trip Corino into a front face lock. Back to arm bars and Corino gets an Olympic slam and a two count. Corino is dumped to the outside and Jabari hits a kick to the outside on him.
Corino is rolled into the ring and Jabari goes to the top and hits a flying elbow for two. Jabari gets a headbutt and then works over Corino in the corner. Corona reverses a whip across the ring, and Jabari goes through the ropes and gets a kick on Corino, followed by a drop-kick from the top. Jabari goes for a sharpshooter, and Corino is able to reverse it. Corino then hits a shoulder tackle. They both get a quick roll up for two.
Jabari lifts Corino, who escapes out the back and they do back and forth roll ups. Corino is able to get a thrust kick on Jabari and then whips him hard into the corner. Corino gets a German suplex and a DDT for the pin and the win.
Winner and still Junior Heavyweight Champion: Colby Corino
Kyle Davis is with Tiffany Nieves, who made her debut at Samhain. She says she is one of a kind, and what other takes years, she can do in a day. The only thing she cares about is benign number one. She is gunning for Ruthie Jay, and she has eyes on the Championship.
Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy and Kylie Paige) Women’s Tag Team Champions vs The King Bees (Charity King and Danni Bee)
The King Bees are a new tag team as well.
Ella is upset that the Bees are getting cheered. Ella then holds out her hand to welcome Bee into the NWA. Bee takes it and when Ella tries to pull her in, Bee whips her into the ropes and hits a back elbow. Bee then hits a hip toss on Ella. Bee whips Ella into the corner, hits a back elbow and tags in King.
King gets a scoop slam on Ell and then hits another one. King tries for a senton, but misses and tags in Paige. King gets a drop toe hold and an arm drag. King gets a pair of slams and this time hits the senton. King gets up to drink in the cheers and then covers for two. Bee is tagged in and King whips Bee into Paige in the corner. Bee hits a snap mare and goes to the ropes where Ella pulls her hair from the back. Paige is able to use the distraction for a big boot. Paige grabs a headlock and drags Bee to the corner for Ella to tag in.
They work Bee over with quick tags. Bee and Paige knock each other down with a double clothesline and both women crawl to get the tag. King and Ella tag in and King gets a series of clotheslines. King gets a sidewalk slam for two, and Paige breaks it up. Bee tosses Paige to the floor and then Ella tosses Bee to the floor. King grabs a surprise roll up for two.
King tries to come off the ropes, but Paige grabs King’s foot and allows Ella to get a roll up with Paige assisting from the outside for the pin and the win.
Winners and still Women’s Tag Team Champions: Pretty Empowered
May Valentine is with Aron Stevens and Blunt Force Trauma, and she says that Stevens promised her a front row seat and she laughed at what happened to his Crown Jewels. Aron says he gave her a throne and watched as they won their title defense. Aron says that he challenges CJ to a turkey gobbler match.
Now it’s time for “Who Wants To Be A Spectacular”. Billy Corgan, Rush Freeman and Rolando explain what someone needs to do to become a Spectacular. Mercurio tries out and he wants to be a Spectacular, everything he does is special. He is asked if he’s worn a bow tie, and he says a bow tie is a paste. He is asked what about him is spectacular, he says it’s how the ladies love him. He is asked how he would fit in with the Spectaculars, and he says he can help them with their hair, and he can give the other members the girls that aren't pretty enough for him. He gets a final score of 14 from the judges.
Paul Burchill is here, and he’s made it to the NWA. He says he is known, he’s wrestled 20 years and been all over the world. He shows his hip swivel and it’s not that great. He says that outside of wrestling, he trains to work in the ring. He also says he does nautical historical cosplay (a nod to being a pirate in the WWE). He says he wants to wrestle in the NWA, and if he needs to join the Spectacular to do so, he’ll wear the bow tie. His final score is a 22.
Koa Laxamana w/Kalles Malia vs Blake Troop w/Chris Silvio in a submission match
Koa tries to pick the leg, but Blake is able to stay on his feet. They move to waistlocks and Troop goes for an arm bar and Koa gets to the ropes. Koa gets a headlock and Troop drives him into the corner. Koa misses a leap from the second rope, but he takes down Troop and tries for a cross arm breaker, but Troop keeps him from locking it on and gets to the ropes.
They are treating the match as more of an MMA fight than a wrestling match . Koa gets a series of kicks and a spinning back elbow. He leaps at Troop, and Troop is able to take him down for a full mount. Koa goes to the triangle choke and Troop picks him up while in the hold and slams him to the mat. Troop locks in a figure four and Koa taps out.
Winner: Blake Troop.
In the back, May asks Kylie Paige and her security. Kylie says that next week, when she faces Big Momma, she says she will win. She doesn't know who Pretty Empowered will face in Florida. Magic Inc shows up and says that if Blunt Force Trauma gets involved in the match between CJ and Stevens, it won’t go well for them.
Another “Who Wants To Be A Spectacular” segment. Tyler Midas is there and says he is the Golden Touch. He says his favorite Rolando memory is when Rolando beat Matt Cardona twice. He then says that his favorite Rush match is but Billy says if it is about matches Rush won, there aren’t many memories. Tyler then says he is the piece of the missing puzzle. His final score is 14 but Rolando gave him a 10.
Next up is KC Rocks. He is asked how many women he has picked up in a bar in one night and dodges answering. Rush says he shouldn’t have even been in this contest. Billy says that he said in his application he was really close to Rush. KC says he wants to be friends. His final score is 5.
The winner will be revealed next week. Billy and Rush say Burchill is the clear choice, but Ronaldo says Tyler Midas is the clear choice.
EC3 (NWA World Champion) vs Talos
Talos is easily a head taller than EC3.
They lock up and Talos forces them into the corner. They break clean and Talos pats EC3 on the top of the head as they break. They lock up again and Talos forces them to the corner. EC3 breaks and grabs a headlock and goes to the middle of the ring. Talos picks EC3 up and tosses him to the ropes, EC3 comes off for a shoulder tackle and Talos doesn’t move so EC3 kicks him.
EC3 grabs the headlock again. Talos shoots EC3 into the ropes and EC3 tries for a cross body, but Talos catches him mid-flight. Talos then slams EC3 to the mat. Talos works over EC3 in the corner and in the ropes. Talos hammers EC3 down and keeps on him. EC3 is run across the ring into the turnbuckle and EC3 bounces out onto the mat. EC3 tries to fight his way free, and Talos drops him with a knee strike.
Talos gets a charge in the corner and then gets a sidewalk slam for one. Talos gets a rear chinlock and EC3 fights to his feet for a jawbreaker. EC3 throws chops, but Talos cuts him off with a big knee. EC3 hits clothesline and Talos finally drops on the third one. EC3 clothesline Talos to the floor.
Daisy Kill comes from the back and trips EC3. Jax Dane then clotheslines Daily Kill and leaves the ring. Talos misses a boot in the corner. EC3 gets a tornado DDT from the second rope. He then gets a bulldog and hits the 1 percenter for the pin and the win.
