The NWA will be announcing a Florida-based PPV for 1/13/24, PWInsider.com has confirmed. We haven't yet heard the market, but have heard Fort Lauderdale was likely the frontrunner.
Sources within the promotion are stating the company drew in the 1,000 range for their TV Taping this past Saturday 11/18 in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking results from the taping, which featured a tribute segment for Austin Idol. The promotion was thrilled with the turnout.
There was an angle on 11/18 FTW event in Riverview, Florida promoted by Bryan Idol aka Mercurio. NWA President Billy Corgan appeared with the idea that he was announcing FTW was going to become a NWA territory for Florida. The twist in the angle was that Corgan didn't want the promotion to be part of the NWA system unless Idol wasn't the FTW Champion, which would make him a NWA representative. Idol was asked to vacate the title but refused, which brought out Damien Fenrir, who offered to win the title and if so, would Corgan reconsider. Corgan agreed but Idol retained th title after Anthon Catena interfered, so Corgan said the deal is off the table a long as Idol is titleholder.
In other results from the FTW show, Tom Lattimer defeated Drago, Samatha Starr & La Brava defeated Kamille and Natalia Markova and Daisy Kill beat Mike Orlando.
Scheduled for tomorrow's edition of NWA Powerrr:
*Aron Stevens vs. CJ.
*Kenzie Paige vs. Big Mama.
