11/19 WWE RAW REPORT FROM SAGINAW, MICHIGAN

By Johnny Miyares on 2023-11-20 00:18:00

Quick synopsis of the Raw Crew show at Saginaw, Michigan at the Dow Center:

*Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio with the Helluva Kick. Good pops for Sami. A lot of heat for Dominik.Becky Lynch defeated Zoey Stark with the Man Handle Slam. Good physical match.

*MVP and Omos come to the ring, MVP offers $10K of his own money if someone can knock Omos of his feet. A few people look like they'll take MVP's offer, but MVP berates all of them, and Omos says they are all cowards. Akira Tozawa comes out to take the challenge. If he can get Omos off his both of his feet, he gets the $10K, otherwise, for Omos, he just needs to pin Akira. Pretty one-sided match as expected. When the ref wasn't looking, MVP would knock Akira with his cane/staff. At one point, Akira had Omos down to one foot and one knee, but Omos got up and finished Akira with a choke slam, and stepped on him for the pin.

*Cody Rhodes pinned Damien Priest following three successive Cross Rhodes. Very competitive match which saw Damien give Cody both the South of Heaven and a Cross Rhodes before it was over. Before the intermission, Cody cut a promo to get the crowd excited for WWE host Alicia Taylor, who was from Saginaw.

*After the intermission, Nia Jax defeated Raquel Rodriquez with what looked like a Banzai Drop. After the match was over, Raquel gave Nia a Texana bomb to a good pop from the crowd. Not a lot of good chemistry between these two.

*GUNTHER defeated Chad Gable to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Gunther dominated for most of the match. Good back and forth match. Gunther had Chad in a Boston Crab, but Chad got to the ropes. Chad connected on Gunther with a Benoit-style top rope flying head butt (which I thought was banned), but Gunther got out. Gunther hit a power bomb, but Chad kicked out. Chad then got Gunther into an ankle lock which he twisted out of and turned it into a rollup for the 1-2-3.

*In the main event, Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntire in a three-way dance to retai the World Heavyweight Championship. Towards the end of the match, Drew hit Shin with a Claymore, followed by Seth hitting a superkick and a Pedigree on Drew. The finish saw Seth leap-frogging Drew to give a curb stop onto Shin for the win.

After the main event, Seth tried reaching out to Drew for handshake. After some tense buildup that made it look like they would actually shake hands, Drew pulled back, wiped his hair with his hands and left the ring.

Biggest Pops: Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins

BIggest Heat: Dominik Mysterio, Nia Jax, Omos and MVP
