AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Friday and this week, AEW Collision is live at the Kia Forum in LA, CA. Our commentary team is Kevin Kelly, Tony Schiavone, and Nigel McGuinness.

As the show starts, Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Christian Cage, who comes to the ring with Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. He asks about their match with Adam Copeland, Sting and Darby, as well as his match coming up later on Rampage. Cage heels LA, and then says tomorrow will be Sting’s last match. He then offers to give Darby fatherly advice. He tells Adam Copeland’s wife to keep the kids up to watch their match because it will be the end of Adam’s career.

Backstage, Lexi is with Ricky Starks and Big Bill and Ricky says their tag team match tomorrow night will be a ladder match.

Miro vs Daniel Garcia

Miro side steps a drop kick and when Garcia tries to pick the leg, Miro hits a suplex. Miro drives Garcia to the corner and beats him down and then stomps him down. Miro hits a German suplex. Garcia tries kicks at Miro and Miro stands him up and clotheslines him down. Miro hits another German suplex. 

Miro sets up to dance and Garcia gets in a few kicks and then some jabs. Miro whips Garcia into the ropes, but sets too soon and Garcia nails a kick. Garcia comes off the ropes with a cross body and instead gets caught and tossed as we go to picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Miro grabs a rear chinlock and Garcia fights to his feet. Garcia fights out with body blows, and Miro picks Garcia up, and Garcia escapes out of the back and hits a chop block. Garcia hits a drop kick on Miro’s leg. GHarcia gets a series of blows to drive Miro to the corner. Miro whips Garcia to the corner, and he comes out with a drop kick to Miro. Garcia comes off the ropes and collides with Miro, and does it a third time. The fourth rime, he runs into a bicycle kick from Miro.

Garcia grabs the stomp and Garcia is able to go after Miro with strikes. Garcia gets a belly to back suplex. Garcia gets ready to dance and Matt Menard runs from the back and tells him not to dance. Miro charges at Garcia, and Garcia dodges so that Miro runs into Menard, and Garcia rolls up Miro for two. Garcia tries for a crossface, and Miro is able to power out. Garcia is able to get a sharpshooter on Miro. Miro is able to escape by grabbing Garcia's head and slamming it into the mat.

Miro calls for Game Over, locks it on and the referee stops the match as Garcia is out.

Winner: Miro

In the back, Lexi is with Andrade El Idolo and CJ, and Andrade says he is happy with his new representation. CJ says that she has been able to enter him in the Continental Classic. She tells him she was able to get him a huge bonus, and Andrade is happy about it.

(Kings of the Black Throne) Malakai Black and Brody King vs The Boys (Brent and Brandon) 

Brent starts with Black and Black grabs an arm bar and when Brent reverses, Black chops him to the mat. King is tagged in and Brandon tries a few jabs, and King just woofs at him. Brandon then tries a casadora and King just drops him. Brandon quickly takes an Inferno and King gets the pin and the win.

Winners: Kings of the Black Throne

We then get a video about the match with Kris Statlnder, Julia Hart, and Kris Statlander, and they each talk about how and why they will win.

Trent Beretta vs Brian Cage vs Komander vs Penta

The winner gets a match with Christian Cage for the TNT title later tonight on Rampage

Penta does his No Fear in Cage’s face,a dn Cage then takes all three men down one at a time with blows. Komader gets a head scissors takedown on Cage, and then Penta launches Komander onto Cage on the floor. Trent then nails Pentas with a back elbow. They throw chaps in the middle of the ring. Trent gets a leaping knee and then a half and half suplex. 

Komander gets in the ring with a drop kick off the top rope into Trent. Komander tries to run the ropes and Cage shakes the rope and then suplexes Komander onto the other men on the floor. Cage and Komander return to the ring as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Cage hits a pump handle slam on Trent. Penta gets into the ring and goes after Cage with kicks. Komander runs at Cage and Penta launches him into Cage, and then Penta runs at Cage and Komander launches him into Cage. Komander tries a step up kick on Trent, but misses after the step up. Trent returns the favor by getting a scoop slam. But Komnder gets a surprise small package for two. 

Trent hits a pair of German suplexes. Trent then hits a pair of German suplexes on Trent. Trent tries it on Cage, but Cage fights free and tries for a slam, and Trent turns it into a poisonrana.  Cage is able to recover and hits a discus lariat on Trent.  Cage hits a face buster on Komander for two, broken up by Penta. Penta is able to get a back stabber on Trent. Penta tries an attack on Cage and instead is rolled into a Destroyer on Komander.

Penta gets a sling blade on Cage and then a Made in Japan on Trent for two. Penta takes out Cage, Komnder and then both Penta and Komander hit dives on cage. Komander walks the ropes and tries for a leap onto Trent, but Trent dodges and locks Komnder into the Strong Zero for the pin and the win.

Winner and taking on Christian Cage for the TNT title later tonight, Trent Beretta

We then get a recap of the street fight and Lexi is with Don Callis and Powerhouse Hobbs and they talk about how they put Paul Wight on the shelf. 

Wardlow vs the Already in the Ring Evan Daniels

Wardlow runs through Evan, hits a swanton bomb and then hits a power bomb and the ref stops the match. 

Winner: Wardlow

Ricky Starks and Big Bill come out to join commentary. 

Rush vs Dax Harwood

They start by shoving each other, they then lock up and Rush slaps Dax. Dax is able to charge back and slaps back. They lock up again, and go to the ropes. They follow by running the ropes. Neither gets an advantage, and after they hit a double cross body, they go to the floor where Rush gets a back body drop on Dax. Rush runs Dax into all four sides of the ring’s barricade.

They return to the ring and they trade chops in the corners. Dax then batters Rush down. Dax charges at Rush, and Rush gets a boot up and then tosses Dax into the ringpost from the inside. Dax;s chest is bleeding from the chops. Rush keeps up the attack and when he takes the Tranquilo pose, we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Rush hits a suplex and covers for two. Dax gets a p[air of belly to back suplexes, and Rush breaks free with a chop and then puts Dax on the top. Rush joins him and they throw hands. Dax knocks Rush to the mat and Rush recovers and knocks Dax’ legs out from under him. Rush then hits an avalanche suplex plex for two. 

Dax and Rush try to whip each other across the ring and instead start with chops again. Both men drop to the mat. When they recover, they charge at each other and can’t knock each other down. Rush is able to get a belly to back suplex for two. Dax tries to pile drive Rush, but Rush escapes out the back and tries for a rollup and Dax turns it into a sunset flip. Rush escapes and Dax gets a back slide for two. 

Dax is able to hit the pile driver and Dax covers for two. As Rush and Dax recover, they roll to the floor. Rush runs Dax into the ring post and Jose turns Rush’s attention to Ricky. Ricky gets in Rush’s face and Rush pie faces him. In the ring, Rush goes for the bull’s horns, and Ricky gets into the ring and spears Rush. Big Bill attacks Dax.

No winner, this match is thrown out.

All of the men involved in the four way tag team match rush the ring, and they brawl in and out of the ring. King and Bill grab a ladder and the brawl continues as security and referees try to break it up. 

Lexi is with Action Andretti and she asks if there is a medical update on Darius Martin. At this point The Kingdom and Roderick Strong show up to make fun of him. Andretti says that they need to shut their mouths. Roddy tells him to shut up because he is his next victim.

Buddy Matthews vs Wheeler Yuta

They hook up with waistlocks and then move to arm bars. Buddy gets a side headlock takeover. Yuta is able to escape, gets a leg sweep for a one count, and dodges a series of kicks from Buddy. Yuta offers the leg to Buddy to mock him. Buddy grabs the leg and Yuta is able to hit a twist on Buddy for a rollup for one. Yuta hits a drop kick and Buddy goes to the floor to regroup. 

Yuta joins him on the floor and Buddy drops him with a strike. They brawl on the floor and Yuta is rolled back into the ring. They trade blows and kicks and then fight in the corner. They move to fighting on the apron, and Buddy tosses Yuta into the announce table from the apron as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Buddy hits a series of blows on Yuta and drops him to the mat. Yuta hits a series of strikes on Buddy and he beats Buddy to a knee, but he nails Yuta with a knee. They trade blows in the middle of the ring. Buddy tries for a pump handle slam and Yuta turns it into a forward roll for two. Yuta gets a German suplex with a bridge for two. Yuta nails a kick and Buddy rolls to the floor. Yuta then hits a dive.

Buddy is rolled into the ring and Yuta hits a crucifix drop for two. They go to the apron and Yuta tries for a suplex, but Buddy blocks and shoves Yuta into the turnbuckles. Buddy then drops Yuta, midsection first, onto the top turnbuckle. They go to the top and struggle for control. Yutas gets in a series of kicks and when Buddy is draped on the second rope, Yuta leaps onto him for a two count. 

Yuta then goes to stomp Buddy’s head in, but Buddy instead rolls Yuta up for two. They go to the top again and Buddy gets a running power bomb for two. Buddy stomps the back of Yuta’s head for the pin and the win.

Winner: Buddy Matthews

Buddy heads back to the ring with a chair and Claudio Castagnoli shows, and Buddy backs off.  Claudio grabs a mic and says if he wanted the attention of the Blackpool Combat Club, all he had to do is ask. Claudio says he likes to make his challenges in the light. So, he challenges Buddy to a match at Full Gear.

Buddy agrees. 

We then get a hype video for Orange Cassidy vs Jon Moxley.

It’s time for the main event!

Saraya and Ruby Soho vs Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida

Ruby and Shida start off with arm bars. Ruby gets a headlock takeover and when they break, Shida gets a drop kick. They go to the corner and Rucy escapes under Shida and pulls her down. Shida nails Ruby with a roundhouse punch. Shida then grabs a fireman’s carry and then drops Ruby to the mat. Statlander is tagged in and they whip Ruby into the ropes, knock her down and Statlander hits a handstand into a leg drop for two.

Statlander gets a fireman’s carry and Ruby escapes out the back for a rollup and a two count. Ruby tags in Saraya and Statlander gets an arm drag. They run the ropes and Statlander gets a shoulder tackle for two. In the back, Julia Hart is watching and Saraya is able to get a running boot. Ruby is tagged in and they try to suplex Statlnder, who instead suplexes the both of them and tags in Shida. 

Hits hits a flying crossbody on both Saraya and Ruby and Skye Blue is also watching backstage. Shida has both of her opponents in the corner and gets in her ten blows. Saraya is able to toss Shdia to the mat as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Angelo Parker is at ringside watching.  In the ring, Shida and Saraya are throwing hands. Shida gets a step up insigiri and both women are down. Stalander and Ruby are tagged in and Statlander gets a series of shoulder tackles and a discus lariat. She then hits charging attacks on Ruby in the corner. Statlnder gets a Blue Thunder Bomb for two.

Statlander and Ruby go to the floor where they brawl at ringside and we see Parker is wearing a Ruby Soho shirt. They return to the ring and Statlnder tags Shida, Shida goes to the top while Ruby is put on Statlander’s shoulders. Ruby hits a poisonrana, but Shida nails her with a drop kick right afterwards.Saraya is tagged in and she gets a kick on Statlanders. Ruby and Saraya try to suplex Shida, but Shida escapes and hits a kick on Ruby. Shida and Saraya throw hands, followed by them hitting cross bodies on each other.

Shida then beats down Saraya. Saraya whips Shida into the ropes, where Ruby is standing, and Shida hits a knee on Ruby, knocking her off the apron. Shida hits a running knee on Saraya, and Parker helps Ruby to her feet. Shida goes to the top and jumps into a kick from Saraya, and Saraya hits a DDT for two, broken up by Statlander. 

Saraya goes for a tag but Ruby is still on the floor with Parker. Statlander comes out of nowhere and clotheslines Parker. In the ring, Shida gets the katana kick for the pin and the win.

Winners: Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlnder

We get a video of Tony Schiavone in a sit down with MJF, who calls him a fat, old pr!ck. Tony asks why he will defend the Ring of Honor tag team title. MJF says he made a promise, and while the Gunns are ugly, they are talented, and he will do whatever it takes to win. Tony asks about Jay White stealing the title belt from him. MJF says that he was furious when it started, but now he sees that Jay is the parts of MJF that he despises. He says Jay stole the belt trying to prove to himself he’s good enough to be champion. 

Tony asks how he feels about being the longest running AEW champion. MJF says he was not likely to be born, and then a lot of other examples of him beating the odds, so he will beat the odds tomorrow at Full Gear.
