WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: FRIENDSHIPS NEVER END, KEVIN ON COMMENTARY, LEE VERSUS ALEXANDER, MAYBE SOME FRIENDSHIPS DO END, AND MORE

Your announcers are Michael Cole, Kevin Owens, and "Kevin" Patrick.

Kevin Owens comes out to take his place on commentary and he has a very nicely tied red, white, and blue tie to fit in with "Kevin" and Michael.

"Kevin" mentions the birth of Corey Graves and Carmella's baby and the reason why Kevin is with them tonight.

Kevin says it was Nick's tie since he doesn't own one.

The LWO make their way to the ring.

We see footage of what happened at Crown Jewel during the US Title match.

Rey welcomes everyone to Smackdown.  He says he wants to cut to the chase.  At Crown Jewel, he put his title on the line against Logan Paul.  You saw Logan steal his title.  We all know the referee's decision is final, but Rey says Logan wouldn't have won if not for those brass knuckles.  Rey says he would still be the US Champion without those brass knuckles.  Rey says he will do whatever it takes to get the rematch.

Carlito comes out and makes his way to the ring and Rey is a bit confused.

Carlito says no one wants to see Rey as US champion than him, but are they not going to talk about Crown Jewel.  He says Rey is blaming the wrong person.  Don't blame Logan, blame the person who left the brass knuckles on the apron.  Santos Escobar.

Santos and Carlito argue and they have to be separated.

Santos leaves the ring and Rey tries to get him to come back.  Rey follows Santos into the crowd and Zelina joins him.

Cruz and Joaquin have some words for Carlito.

Match Number One:  Bobby Lashley (with Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) versus Carlito (with Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde)

Lashley has some words for Cruz and Wilde before locking up.  Lashley backs Carlito into the corner and Lashley misses a punch.  Carlito with a drop kick but Lashley with a clothesline.  Lashley sends Carlito into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders.  

We see B-Fab watching MONITOR in BACK.

Lashley with a running shoulder into the corner followed by a slam.  Lashley with a forearm to the back and he sends Carlito into the corner and punches Carlito.  Lashley chokes Carlito in the corner.  Lashley goes for the full nelson and Carlito blocks it and he drops down for a jaw breaker to escape.  Carlito with a cross body and a running knee lift.  Lashley with a kick and he sets for a delayed vertical suplex but Carlito gets to his feet and he hits a suplex of his own.  Carlito clotheslines Lashley over the top rope to the floor.  Carlito goes to the floor and he tries to send Lashley into the ring steps but Lashley blocks it and he sends Carlito face first into the ring steps and then into the ringside barrier.  Lashley gets Carlito on his shoulders and he runs Carlito into the ring post.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Lashley has Carlito on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex.  Carlito with punches and he knocks Lashley off the turnbuckles and hits a flying shoulder tackle.  Carlito goes for a lungblower and Lashley blocks it and holds on to the ropes.  Carlito drops down and Lashley goes over the top rope to the floor.  Carlito with a pescado.

We saw B-Fab continue to watch MONITOR and Ashante Thee Adonis wants to know what is going on and they leave.

Ford grabs Carlito and then Wilde punches Ford after Carlito kicks Ford away.  Dawkins with a POUNCE to Wilde and he sends Cruz over the ringside barrier.  Santos goes after Dawkins and they fight at ringside.  

Back in the ring, Carlito knocks Ford off the apron and he turns around into a spear from Lashley for the three count.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the match, Ford, Dawkins, and Lashley attack Carlito and Santos observes what is going on from the apron.

Rey Mysterio's music and he makes his way to the ring with a chair.  Lashley, Ford, and Dawkins leave the ring.

Rey wants to know why didn't Santos do anything and Santos says that Carlito isn't family.  Rey pushes Santos and Rey says they are all family.

Rey checks on Carlito and Santos starts to leave the ring and then Santos hits Rey from behind.

Santos stands over Rey and he says it was supposed to be them.  Rey slaps Santos and punches Santos.  Santos falls to the apron.  Rey goes to talk to Santos on the apron and he apologizes.  Santos pushes Rey into the ring post.  Santos drop kicks the ring steps where Rey is stuck.

Zelina comes out to ask Santos why did he do it.

We are back and Cathy Kelley ambushes Santos Escobar to ask why did he attack Rey.  

Santos says Rey had it coming and he leaves the building.

We take a look back at Iyo Sky versus Bianca Belair at Crown Jewel.

Bayley makes her way to the ring 

Bayley says we saw what happened.  She says she had a plan and vision for Iyo Sky and Dakota since the group started.  Everything she wanted to happen came true.  WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.  Ms. Money in the Bank.  WWE Women's Champion.  Iyo has beaten the best in the WWE and it is thanks to her plan.  Bayley says Crown Jewel should have been their proudest moment and she was saying WHAT at the return of Kairi Sane.  That is not how they do business.  She would like Iyo to make her way to the ring to explain what is going on.

Women's Champion Iyo Sky makes her way to the ring and she is joined by Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai.

Dakota tries to gesture to Bayley that things are okay as she makes her way to the ring.

Bayley wants to know what Kairi is doing out here and what was she doing at Crown Jewel.

Iyo says she had a plan too.  She has Kairi to thank for helping her retain the title.  Isn't that what you wanted.

Bayley says she wants the best for them, but the last time Kairi was in WWE, this happened . . . 

we see Bayley attacking Kairi on a July 2020 episode of Raw.

Bayley says you can understand the concern over having Kairi around.  She says she knows how things work.

Dakota says they didn't bring Kairi into the group to hurt Bayley.  It was done to make the group stronger.  Dakota says they wanted to take some of the weight off Bayley.  Iyo is still champion and the group is stronger.

Kairi says that she respects Bayley as the leader.  Kairi says she forgives Bayley and she wants to hug Bayley.

Bayley says she doesn't hug any more.

We get a group hug.

Bianca Belair's music plays because she is not a fan of hugging.

Bianca says Kairi might forgive Bayley but she does not forgive them.  She thought Iyo had the confidence to face her one on one for the title, but it is her fault.  She says she has learned from her mistakes.  Now she will have to whoop all three of you.

Bayley says people don't like a sore loser.

Bianca says a lot of people don't like them.

Charlotte Flair comes out and she is followed by Asuka.

Asuka takes the mic and she addresses Iyo and Kairi in Japanese.

We take a look at Dragon Lee with a video package.

Match Number Two:  Dragon Lee versus Cedric Alexander

The match is joined in progress and Lee with a shoulder tackle.  Lee with a drop kick and Alexander goes to the floor.  Alexander returns to the ring and hits a drop kick followed by a suicide dive.  Cedric sends Lee back into the ring and hits a slingshot tornado DDT.  Alexander with a chop.  Cedric with another chop.  Cedric with an Irish whip and a running forearm into the corner.  Lee with a drop kick to the back of the head and he gets a near fall.  Cedric with forearms and Lee with punches.  Cedric with an Irish whip and he misses a splash into the corner.  Lee is sent to the apron and Lee with a kick.  Lee with a slingshot head scissors and a flip dive onto Cedric.  Lee send Cedric back into the ring and he floats over and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Lee waits for Cedric to get back to his feet and Cedric back drops Lee into the turnbuckles.  Cedric with a forearm.

Lee with a forearm of his own.  They go back and forth.  Lee with the advantage but Cedric with a boot.  Lee with a German suplex and round kick.  Cedric counters a cross body into Spanish Fly for a near fall.  Cedric is sent to the turnbuckles and Lee with a super kick to Cedric.  Cedric with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  Lee counters Lumbar Check into a power bomb for a near fall.  Lee with Destino for the three count.

Winner:  Dragon Lee

"Kevin" mentions that Rey has been taken to a local medical facility after Santos' attack earlier.

We take a look back at the US title match from Crown Jewel.

We go to commercial.

LA Knight walks in the back.
