WHY LOGAN PAUL COULD PROSPER IN THE WORLD OF WRESTLING

By Kendall Jenkins on 2023-10-25 07:16:00

Alongside the huge viewing figures it achieves, the sellout shows it hosts in world-famous venues, and the fact that it’s now one of the fastest-growing high school sports in America for girls, wrestling is still in a healthy position in the modern environment. Additionally, with social media stars like Logan Paul now being signed by the WWE, it’s pulling in new audiences.

Logan Paul is used to success

After making his in-ring debut for the company at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, the controversial YouTuber is familiar with foraying into unknown territory. Paul has released an energy drink with his good friend KSI, he has headlined huge Misfits Boxing events, dominated many boxing-related debates and been subsequently backed by fans who enjoy betting online and supporting their favourite online personalities while also making the most of useful resources like a handy betting calculator, while his podcast is one of the most popular in the world. He’s a talented man.

Paul has the tools needed to shine in WWE

Despite his big personality and his adept business mind, Jake Paul’s brother faces an uphill task if he is to replicate his triumphs elsewhere in the WWE arena. The charismatic Ohio-born star certainly has what it takes, though. For instance, Zak Zodiac, a professional wrestler and coach, thinks the American influencer has the appetite to succeed where other celebrities who have ventured into the scene simply haven’t.

On Paul’s chances of success, Zodiac said: "There's a lot of celebrities that come into professional wrestling that won't put the graft in. But Logan Paul is certainly not that person. This man is putting his body on the line.”

He’s a natural entertainer

After playing an integral role in the recent Misfits Boxing show in Manchester while taking on MMA fighter Dillon Danis, Paul showcased his way with words on numerous occasions. Not only does he have an endearing personality after evidently maturing in recent years, but as seen during the pre-fight press conferences and his fiery exchanges with Conor McGregor’s training partner, the YouTuber, who signed a multi-year deal with the company, knows how to control a crowd.

Although he is only technically a part-time wrestler after having just seven matches in 17 months, Logan Paul has already shown that he’s deserving of a more prominent role on the roster moving forward, particularly given his successful transition over to the world of boxing.

Already, WWE fans have witnessed the former Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships competitor perform dramatic high-flying moves, while his background in wrestling highlights that he has a solid understanding of the basics.

He's extremely ambitious

Clearly hoping to build on his Ohio University wrestling career that ended with a reported record of 35-10 before he decided to pack it in for an adventure in YouTube, the content creator, who has amassed 27 million followers on Instagram, is clearly a man on a mission. The 28-year-old claims his Prime sports drink has generated a staggering $250 million in sales at the time of writing, his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast with world-famous guests pulls in massive audiences, while his exploits in the boxing sphere have seen him come up against legendary opponents in the shape of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Logan Paul has already proven that he is more than capable of adapting to a number of different areas of entertainment. Becoming one of the WWE’s biggest stars could be next on the agenda.
