CM Punk was backstage visiting at last night's Impact Wrestling taping for about an hour, PWInsider.com has confirmed. We are told Punk arrived during the show, visited, watched for a bit and then left as he had to get back to Larry the Dog.
We are told Josh Alexander vs. Will Ospreay last night at the TV taping was "awesome." Ospreay put over Impact on the mic and said he wanted to compete inside a TNA ring.
The TNA "resurrection" video was filmed right outside Nashville. I believe the idea was that Frankie Kazarian carried the box containing TNA out of Matt Hardy's Lake of Resurrection, but I haven't gotten that 100% confirmed.
Ace Steel got high marks for his work as a Producer over the weekend.
Impact was close to sold out for last night's taping. At the taping, they filmed lots of Digital content for the future including the return of the old Turkey Suit Match.

The dark match at Bound for Glory was pulled to make sure there was time to tape the Knockouts match and give the Hall of Fame ceremony enough time. We are told that everyone in the company wanted to especially make sure Mike Tenay had more than enough time to speak about his career and pay tribute to Don West.
It meant a lot to the company to have Tenay at the PPV, with one source stating that the company had been making overtures as far back as five years ago, possibly longer. There were some in the company hoping Tenay would call a match, and we are told some talents even directly come to Tenay and asked him to come out of retirement while they were with him in Chicago. The stories we have heard relayed is that Tenay told everyone they were in good hands with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt, which he was 100% correct about.
