10/21 NEW JAPAN SUPER TAG LEAGUE RESULTS

From Saitama, Japan:

1 - Yuto Nakashima, Ren Narita and Shota Umino vs. Callum Newman, HENARE and Great O-Khan

O-Khan taps out Nakashima with a head and arm choke sleeper.

2 - Yuya Uemura and SANADA vs. Boltin Oleg and Oskar Leube 

Uemura pins Oskar with a double underhook suplex with a bridge.

3 - Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito vs. Gedo and Taiji Ishimori 

Naito pins Gedo after a tornado DDT.

Ishimori is jacked and looks to be close to his original form.  Ishimori has been out for months due to a spine injury suffered in a match with Hiromu Takahashi at Best of the Super Juniors 2023.  It was a good first match back against Hiromu to shake off the rust.  

After the match, Naito, who has been carrying around a bag which holds his Title Contract at Wrestle Kingdom, reached into his bag and gave some Los Ingobernales memorabilia to a young female fan.  She thanked him politely, but then broke down in tears of happiness when Naito gave her the LIJ Fist Bump.  That was an awesome moment to capture on camera.  These types of moments will get fans to spend their money at Wrestle Kingdom.

Super Jr. Tag League 2023:

4 - Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles vs.  Francesco Akira and TJP

Catch 22 hits 2X2 on Fujita.   TJP pins Fujita.

Catch 22 earns 2 points.

TMDK has 0 points.

5 - Kevin Knight and KUSHIDA vs. TAKA Michinoku and DOUKI 

TAKA came to the ring in a robe and blue tights.  He look rejuvenated in this match.

KUSHIDA got the submission win with the Hoverboard Lock on TAKA.

Jetsetters earn 2 points.

Just 5 Guys has 0 points.

6 - The DKC and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Master Wato and El Desperado 

Very unlikely pairing of El Desperado and Master Wato.   Wato wanted them to come to the ring together and even had shirts made.  Desperado was not having it and brushed off his partner.

Wato pins DKC with a deadlift German with a bridge.

Wato/Desperado earn 2 points.

DKC/Taguchi has 0 points.

7 - MUSASHI and YOH vs. Drilla Moloney and Clark Conners

MUSASHI is from Michinoku Pro Wrestling.  

Conners pins YOH after hitting Full Clip.

War Dogs earn 2 points.

YOH/MUSASHI has 0 points.

8 - Titan and BUSHI vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru and SHO

No Dick Togo with House of Torture.  

House of Torture kept trying to unmask both men.   Titan and BUSHI apply Indian Death Locks.    Togo comes to the ring and rings the bell.  Titan and BUSHI think they won.   Referee takes a bump.  EVIL and Yujiro attack Titan and BUSHI.  SHO hits a Power Breaker on Titan.   BUSHI makes the save.   SHO pushes Titan into the referee.   SHO rips off Titan’s mask.  SHO holds BUSHI for Kanemaru’s Suntori Suprise but dodges and SHO gets sprayed in the eyes.   BUSHI spits green mist into Kanemaru’s eyes.    EVIL, Togo and Yujiro attack.   BUSHI fights them off.  Titan gets hits mask back on and hits a tope con hilo on House of Torture.  Titan hits a tornado DDT.  Titan comes off the top rope with Angel Immortal.

Titan pins SHO.

Los Ingobernales de Japon earns 2 points.

House of Torture has 0 points.

BUSHI gets the mic addresses the crowd and welcomes Titan back to Japan.   

Super Jr. Tag League continues this Tuesday.  The tournament will conclude on November 4 in Osaka at Power Struggle.

Also on that Power Struggle card will be:

1.  NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Championship:   Shane Haste, Mikey Nichols and Zack Sabre Jr vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada 

2.  IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship:  Taiji Ishimori vs. Hiromu Takahashi
