I'm wondering, Did Shad Khan agree to finance AEW after watching the 1982 movie The Toy? The uber rich dad, of an awkward friendless son, buys a human toy (or in this case many) for his son to play with. The parallels are uncanny. Without his phone being taken away from him, do you think Tony Khan will reach a maturity level where he stops with his apparently thin skinned tweets. Especially considering the one about Cena and Taker. That one came off extra petty. Do you think he may have sent that one because he knows they'd probably never set foot in his ring due to their loyalty to WWE?
I never saw that movie so I can’t comment on that but Tony certainly is thin-skinned for sure. I don’t know why he chose to attack Taker and Cena but I agree 100 percent that neither one of them would ever consider working for him, at least right now, due to loyalty to WWE. Could that change down the road now that Endeavor has bought them? I guess but I tend to doubt it. They can see what AEW is and I don’t see them having any desire going there.
At this point, which is more embarrassing? AEW and TK's behavior or TNA being run by Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo in 2010?
I have to go with Tony and AEW because of Khan's Twitter account. I wasn't a fan of either product but the online presence makes AEW the winner (or better said, loser) here.
In recent times WWE has been muting words the fans chant which kills listening to the announcers or the wrestler giving a promo. Does this distract you as much as it does me? It feels like what the wrestler is saying to us watching doesn’t matter. I don’t recall this happening a year ago.
It's not WWE, it's FOX. They are an over the air broadcaster so they are making sure curse words don't make TV. Yes, I hate it too. It interrupts the promos and it's annoying.
Do you believe for a second that MJF really is set to be a free agent in 2024? There’s no way that TK straps his world title on MJF for nearly a year and pushes MJF as his top act in multiple storylines concurrently - if MJF hasn’t already signed a contract extension on the “low low” right?
I totally believe it. Tony has let Jon Moxley get out of contract before with the belt. There is still plenty of time to take the Title off of MJF if they can’t come to terms.
What does it say about Tony Khan that he can respond to numerous random people on Twitter and spend time doing research on ratings of WWE stars?
It tells me that all of the time that he should be spending fixing his very flawed product he is instead wasting. He really should be putting his energy into improving AEW because as his business indicators show, it really, really needs it.
