The lawsuit brought by former WWE Creative Team member Britney Abrahams has been "amicably resolved", according to reporting by Wrestlenomics.com's Brandon Thurston yesterday. That likely means that the two sides came to a confidential settlement on the matter. Thurston noted that the lawsuit has been dismissed with prejudice, which means Abrahams cannot bring it back to the courts. Thus the matter is resolved.
World Wrestling Entertainment and Britney Abrahams filed a joint motion before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on 8/25, each asking and receiving permission from the court to extend WWE's due date to respond to Abrahams' lawsuit against the company to 11/3/23. Now that they settled the issue, that obviously won't happen.
On 8/17, Abrahams filed a motion asking the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York to dismiss her lawsuit against Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and others. The lawsuit alleged that Abrahams was discriminated against and fired for objecting to "offensively racist and stereotypical jargon" in scripts for black performers. Abrahams, who was let go from the company two years ago, claims that her complaints were ignored and then she was let go from the company for taking home a commemorative Wrestlemania 37 chair, which she insinuated was a cover for the real reason for her termination.
