After AEW Wrestledream, during the post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan announced Adam Copeland has officially signed with the company.

Khan said this is something he's really excited about is Copeland will be wrestling weekly for AEW.

Copeland said he wanted to come and contribute and help and felt in AEW, he'd have the opportunity to do that.

Copeland noted that he's driven by challenges and has never been in the ring with Sting before tonight and mentions Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Nick Wayne.

Copeland said tonight he felt free and it was fun.  It was the type of thing that felt fun like his early independent dates and to feel that is special, especially 31 years in.  It's a gift.

Copeland said he's a full time guy and will be there every week, not every three months.  He said that's going to be the best way to help.

Copeland will speak on Dynamite this Wednesday.  He said he'll give his mission statement and his thought process then.  He feels like a little kid again.

Copeland flew to Seattle Friday.  He called Darby and they all shot everything guerrilla style, including Copeland holding the camera man as he hangs outside an SUV.  He said he was cackling and enjoying himself and feels free.

Copeland will be working the 10/7 Collision episode.

Khan said that Copeland will be wrestling on Tuesday 10/10 on Dynamite against Luchasaurus in Kansas City.

Copeland said there's 14 names on the roster that come up off the top of his head.  He's never wrestled Kenny Omega, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley.  His entire life has been built on challenges and said to him, it's a steak dinner waiting to be eaten.

Copeland said whoever comes up to him to talk, he's an open book and will help them as much as he can.  He said that he felt he could really try and help here, which just helps the entire industry.

Copeland  said he sequestered himself in a hotel room and would sneak out to get food.  One fans saw him at a burger joint and Copeland asked him to "Ssssh" and the fans kept the secret.

On Beth Phoenix, Copeland said he doesn't know about the possibility of doing anything in the foreseeable future.  She is his sounding board, so if you saw something that you think worked, it was bounced off Phoenix.

On using his same theme, Copeland said Alterbridge are his friends and that music will go with him wherever he goes.
