"Finally, @TheRock has come back to Denver!"

What a surreal moment ????#SmackDown pic.twitter.com/jFCNT44AQb
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson just returned to WWE Smackdown alongside Pat McAfee after appearing on his ESPN show earlier today, which was live in Colorado. The pair came out during an Austin Theory promo. After going back and forth with Theory (and leading an a-hole chant, which was censored on FOX, at least here in NYC), Theory and Rock exchanged fists before Rock nailed a spinebuster and indeed, hit The People's Elbow.

As I noted earlier today, the Pat McAfee Show appearance was just 30 minutes away from where Smackdown is broadcasting tonight from Denver, so it made sense Johnson could cameo.
This marked the Rock's first appearance on WWE programming since the 20th Anniversary of Smackdown back in 2019.
Rock's last match was an impromptu bout against Erick Rowan back at Wrestlemania in Dallas, Texas in 2016.
Earlier today, Rock noted he was set for a Wrestlemania 39 bout against Roman Reigns in Los Angeles, which did not take place. Rock noted he was open to work next year's Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia.
