It is Wednesday and this week, AEW Dynamite is at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH. The commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz.
Jon Moxley (AEW International Champion) vs Big Bill w/Ricky Starks
Mox starts with kicks to Bill’s legs and then throws hands in the corner, where Mox backs off and flips the double bird. Bill drops Mox and rains down right hands on his head. Bill moves to beating Mox down in the corners. Mox tries a cross body and Bill tosses him over his head. Mox is abel to get up and hits clotheslines, but Bill cuts him off with a knee and a big boot as Mox rolls to the floor.
As the ref is not looking, Ricky gets in a running kick on Mox. Bill works over Mox on the floor, but Mox is able to whip Bill into the steel steps. Bill responds by tossing Mox over the timekeeper’s table as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Mox is, as per usual, busted open. Mox hits a superplex from the top turnbuckle. Both men struggle to their feet and Bill hits a sidewalk slam for a two count. Mox pops up like the Undertaker and Bill knocks him down. Mox pops up again and fires forearms shots. They trade blows and Mox catches a big boot and drops Bill with a clothesline for two. Mox hits the hammer and anvil elbow strikes and then locks on a choke. Bill gets to his feet and Mox stays on his back until Bill backs into the turnbuckles. Mox hits a cutter and Bill rolls out of the ring.
Mox goes to the top and Ricky knocks him down so that he croches himself on the top rope. Bill gets the big boot for two. Bryan Danielson runs to ringside and beats down Ricky. As Bill watches, Mox gets a rollup for two. Mox gets a boot up as Bill charges, and runs into a choke slam from Bill for two.
Bill beats Mox down on the mat and then tries to pull him up for the choke slam, but Mox catches his arm in an arm bar. Bill tries to lift Mox, but Mox hangs on. Ricky is held back by Bryan, and Bill has to tap out.
Winner and still AEW International Champion: Jon Moxley
The fight continues with all four, and Claudio runs to the ring and joins in. Bill and Ricky rolls out of the ring tro fight another day.
In the back, Renee Paquette is with Roderick Strong and The Kingdom. Before they start, Adam Cole shows and says that he is worried Joe will break his neck. Roddy says that NOW Cole is worried about him, but he should be worried about MJF, because he will beat Joe and break MJF’s back.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring with Don Callis’s painting so it’s time for the Chord Of Doom as Don and Takeshite come to the ring. Don says Takeshida has beat Kenny Omega twice and he is the best Ace of all time, rolling off a list of Japanese Wrestlers and says Takeshita is now The Alpha. He throws in a shot at Jericho while running down Omega. He says he broke Kenny’s body, and now he will break his heart, and his next target is:
Kota Ibushi
And it’s a painting of Don and Takeshita going after Ibushi with a sword.
Don says while they destroy Ibushi, Omega will be at home, helpless, and he then drives a screwdriver into Ibushi’s face on the painting.
Alex Marvez is in the back with the Blackpool Combat Club, and Bryan challenges Ricky and Bill to a match with him and Claudio. Rey Fenix shows to shout at Mox about their match next week, and Eddie shows and just stares at Claudio.
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara come to the ring. Jericho puts over their match next week. He introduces a video about the history of him and Sammy in AEW.
After the video, Sammy confesses he doesn’t know the lyrics to Judas. Jericho talks about how he saw Sammy at NWA 70 in a prelim match. Sammy then talks about how Jericho inspires him and thanks him. He says he didn’t come to AEW to be Jericho’s sidekick, he came to be The Man. He says it won’t happen while he is in Jericho’s shadow, and that’s why he needs to beat him. Jericho says it’s true, but Sammy was brought in to be a money making draw.
Jericho says he will have to be the best Sammy to beat him, but he doesn’t think Sammy is there yet. Sammy says there it is, and it shows it’s always been all about Jericho. Sammy says he will earn Chris’s respect, shake his hand and earn some tag team title. They go nose to nose and Chris says he will give Sammy the4 match of his life and he won’t go easy on him. He expects the same thing from Sammy, and Sammy says he wouldn't want it any other way.
We then get a video of MJF last week, and MJF is not able to travel to Dyanamite this week but can work at Grand Slam. He says he wants to face Roddy “The Simp” Strong and he will rip Roddy's head off and shove it up his ass, but Roddy beat him to it. He then says he is not afraid of Samoa Joe and if he wrestles Joe, he will choke him out. MJF then goes into the Scott Steiner math promo.
Taz says the math is out of the University of Michigan in a snarky deep cut.
Brian Cage w/Prince Nana vs Adam Page
Cage rams Page into the corner and nails him with shoulders and chops. Page gets a boot up when whipped across the ring and Cage tries to suplex Page, but Page lands on his feet and gets a boot. Cage instead comes off the ropes and shoulder tackles Page. Page is able to get the low bridge on Cage, and Cage goes to the outside. Page misses his first kick and hits the second.
Page tries a dive but Cage catches him. Page gets slammed into the ring post, but reverses the next charge with a hurricanrana, and then Page is able to dive on Cage on the floor. They return to the ring and Cage clotheslines Page down. Cage then works over Page in the ropes, breaking on four each time. Page is able to get another hurricanrana leaving Xage on the ropes and Page hits a Tiger Feint Kick.
We then get Swerve’s music, and when Page is distracted, Cage suplexes Page into the ring from the apron. Swerve is watching as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cage hits a full nelson slam for two. They throw hands in the middle of the ring, Page ends it with a kick after sliding through Cage’s legs, but Cage drops him with a power slum. Cage tries a moonsault off the ropes, but Page dodges. Page hits a series of blows and clotheslines both of them over the top rope.
Back in the ring, Page tries a cross body and Page is abel to escape with a crucifix pop. Cage rolls to the floor. Page hits a drop kick through the ropes and then goes up top for a moonsault off the top to Cage on the floor. Page rolls Cage into the ring for a crossbody for two.
Both men are slow to get up. They struggle to the top and Cage sets for an outside in suplex, but Page fights out of it. Page goes for the buckshot and Cage catches him. Page turns it into an inside cradle for two. Page hits a deadeye and covers for the pin and the win.
Winner: Adam Page
Page has the mic after the match. He mocks Swerve for watching as he kicked Cage’s ass. Page says that he thought Swerve had balls, but now he knows they are stored away in Price Nana’s crown. Swerve says those sound like fighting words. Swerve says it won’t be solved tonight and mocks Cincinnati schools, and says they will do it when he says, where he says, on October 1st at Wrestle Dream.
He says he needs to tune Page up before the fight, which leads to Cage and Nana attack Page from behind. The Young Bucks show and they take out Cage while Nana dances unaware. He turns into a superkick.
In the back, Renee is with Daniel Garcia, and he is tired of talking about Jericho and Sammy and wants to talk about himself. Don Callis shows and tries to sell the Callis family. Daniel stops him from talking and dances. When he leaves, Callis says it’s money and chases after him.
Darby Allin and Nick Wayne vs Matt Menard and Angelo Parker w/Jake Hager and Anna Jay
Wayne and Parker start off and the crowd LOUDLY chants Daddy Magic. Before they do more than just a lock up, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come out to join commentary. Wayne is the babyface in peril and Parker and Menard work him over with quick tags. Cage talks about how Wayne needs a better mentor than Darby. They go to picture in picture as Menard works over Wayne.
When we return to full screen, Wayne finally gets a hot tag so that Darby can run wild. The flurry ends with a Code Red for two on Parker. They trade waistlocks and Wayne gets a blind tag and takes out Parker with a Wayne’s World for two, broken up when Menard pulls Wayne out of the ring. Darby tags back in and he and Wayne go to the top with Wayne hitting Wayne’s World on Manard on the floor, and Darby getting a coffin drop on Parker for the pin and the win.

Christian Cage grabs a mic and says Nicks’ mom doesn’t post enough bikini pics on Instagram, so he sent her a request. He then says the loss at All In in London was embarrassing. Next week, he and Luchasaurus will take on Darby and Sting.
Samoa Joe vs Roderick Strong w/His Neck Brace and The Kingdom in the Final of the Grand Slam Tournament
They lock up and Joe head butts Roddy’s hand to keep him from unloading chops. Roddy rolls out of the ring to regroup. Roddy gets back in the ring and Joe tosses him out again. Joe is tired of the shenanigans and chases Roddy, so Roddy gets into the ring and cuts off Joe when he enters with kicks and chops. Joe responds with a shoulder tackle that knocks Roddy to the mat. Joe goes back to work as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Joe is working over Roddy in the corner, and Roddy is able to get some elbows and a drop kick to bring Joe down for a one count. Roddy grabs a side headlock and Joe fights his way free. Roddy hits a drop kick from the second turnbuckle for two. Roddy grabs a rear chinlock and twists. Joe twists out of it and works free. Joe then hits a Manhattan drop, a big boot, and a senton for two.
Joe hits a power slam for two. Roddy escapes a power slam and hits an insigiri and a series of forearms and then a rising knee stroke and a lariat for two. Roddy tries for a stronghold, but Joe is able to escape and then slams Roddy when Roddy tries to charge into the corner. Joe sets Roddy up for the muscle buster, but Bennett gets on the apron, and Joe knocks him down.
Roddy is able to get a slam on Joe from behind and then hits a running boot for two. Roddy charges at Joe and Joe knocks him out of the air and locks in the Coquina Clutch for the win.
Winner and facing MJF for the title next week: Samoa Joe
Joe grabs a mic and calls out MJF. He says next week he goes to MJF’s back yard and will walk him down, beat him up, and take everything he has.
Adam Cole comes down to the ring and Roddy falls to the mat, clutching his neck and screaming “Adam!” The Kingdom yells at Cole as Roddy is stretchered out.
Cole walks up the ramp as they wheel Roddy out, and Joe attacks Cole from behind and puts him in the Coquina Clutch yelling “I’m taking everything from you!”
