WWE PRESIDENT NICK KHAN ON WWE MEDIA RIGHTS DEALS

In an article published by the Sports Business Journal about the WWE-UFC merger, WWE President Nick Khan commented on what the merger into TKO means for WWE's future media rights:

Khan noting that he expects to "start really pushing on negotiations" at the NFL season takes off, noted that UFC being with Disney and WWE being with NBC should help negotiations as the two entities battle amongst themselves for content.

“You've seen bidding wars between Comcast and Disney on things like the Fox assets, which ultimately went to Disney, and Sky, which ultimately went to Comcast,” Khan said. “It does make one wonder how this might look down the road as both companies and as TKO enters into these negotiations. We think ratings, relevancy and revenue for both properties are off the charts, and, of course, we always want to grow that.”

The same article featured comments from UFC President Dana White, who noted that the merger will not change the day to day business of UFC.
