Former WWE developmental talent Danny Gimondo did not appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on 9/1 before the Hernando County, Florida (Tampa area) court in regard to his 6/29 arrest at 3:15 PM EST in ) on charges with DUI and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.    He is listed in court paperwork as "not present."

An arraignment has been set for 9/20 on the DUI charge.  The prosecutors have opted not to move forward with prosecuting the possession charge, based in court records. Giomondo and his bail bondsman have both been informed that should he not appear on 9/20, an arrest warrant will be issued.  Gimondo is out on bond after his public defender was able to get it reduced from $10,000 to $2,000.

According to an arrest report prepared by The Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Gimondo was pulled over at a McDonalds located at 13100 Cortez Boulevard after being observed failing to maintain a single lane of traffic.  The officer that pulled over Gimindo suspected he was impared and called for a traffic unit to come to the scene.

The traffic officer who responded noted that at 2:53 PM when they arrived, Gimondo was sweating with an "odor of alcohol" coming from "his breath and person."  Gimondo stated he was heading to a rehab facility after relapsing on alcohol and earlier in the day "drank Tito's and is currently on Benzos."    Gimondo was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and the arrest report also lists that he had stated he would have a hard time doing some of the tests due to a pro wrestling injury of his knee.

While conducting a search of the car, that Detective located a clear Ziploc bag containing three pills that were later identified as Alprazolam.  Gimondo stated that he had a prescription for them but did not bring his prescription bottle with him from New Jersey to Florida and instead placed them in the baggie.

After being pulled over, Gimondo complained of chest pain and was talent to Oak Hill Hospital.  Whole there he was given a breathalyzer test that measured a sample of 0.167 at 8:02 PM and 0.165 at 8:05 PM.    According to the traffic officer's report, Gimondo thanked him for being so "cool with him."

The car had minor damage to the front of vehicle but Gimondo, who was renting the car, stated that it must have been from a previous renter as he had been unaware of the damage.  The car was towed from the scene.

Gimondo, who was with WWE's then-developmental talent Ohio Valley Wrestling from 2004 through 2006 as part of the Jersey Shore Crew.  He continued wrestling through 2020 after his WWE release, mostly in the Northeast independent scene.  A torn ACL in OVW changed the course of his career.  Prior to his time in WWE developmental, he worked regularly as the Inferno Kid, including WWF enhancement matches, first debuting back in 1994.

Gimondo has not publicly commented on the arrest.
