9/10 NJPW ROAD TO DESTRUCTION RESULTS FROM CHIBA, JAPAN

9/10/23 Results from New Japan’s Road to DESTRUCTION From Chiba, Japan:

1 - Yuto Nakashima, Oskar Leube, Tomoaki Honma and Satoshi Kojima vs. Jado, Togi Makabe, Tiger Mask and Hiroyoshi Tenzan

Makabe pins Nakashima after a King Kong Kneedrop.

2 - YOH and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Toru Yano and Hiroshi Tanahashi

Yano pins Taguchi after a low blow and a school boy cradle.

3 - Shane Haste, Mikey Nichols, Bad Dude Tito and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii and Kazuchika Okada

Ishii went for a sliding lariat but ZSJ ducked and hooked his arms in a cradle for the pin.

TMDK have words with Bishomon after the match.  They will meet for the IWGP World Tag Team Championship very soon.

4 - Great O-Khan, HENARE and Jeff Cobb vs. BUSHI, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito

HENARE forces BUSHI to tap out to Ultima.

5 - Hiromu Takahashi and Yota Tsuji vs. Callum Newman and Will Ospreay

Hiromu pins Newman after a Time Bomb

Ospreay and Tsuji have words as Tsuji will be the next challenger for the IWGP UK Championship.

6 - Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO and EVIL vs.  TAKA Michinoku, DOUKI, Taichi and SANADA

EVIL pins TAKA after hitting Everything is Evil.   

After the match, EVIL put the Darkness Scorpion on TAKA.    House of Torture posed over TAKA.   The rest of Just 5 Guys came to help.   EVIL and SHO took the belts and escaped. 

7 - Best of Seven Series (Match 1):  Master Wato, Shota Umino and Yuji Nagata vs. El Desperado, Ren Narita and Minoru Suzuki

The dispute between these six men have been going on for months.  This escalated to this point where all men meet in this 7 match series to see who is the best. 

All men fought into the crowd.   Suzuki destroyed a guardrail and hit Nagata in the gut.  This was a stiff match.

Both teams fought to a draw with Suzuki and Nagata beating each other as the bell rang.

Yuji Nagata addresses the crowd as this was his hometown crowd.   Nagata fist bumps all the fans at ringside.
