9/10 WWE RESULTS FROM CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA

WWE has returned to Central Virginia at the John Paul Jones Area on the campus of UVA in Charlottesville which has become the main venue in the area since the closing of the Richmond Coliseum in 2019. A new 17000 seat area for Richmond is in the works scheduled to be completed in 2026.

McKenzie Mitchell is our host for the evening.

Looks like the upper bowl of the arena will be pretty much empty. The lower bowl is pretty full except for one section blocked off for the sound crew.

Match 1. Charlotte Flair b Asuka. Big pop for both woman. Lots of back and forth action with a ton a near falls. Charlotte got the pin after a spear. Both woman embraced afterwards.

Match 2. Omos with MVP b Johnny Gargano. Man Omos is a big dude. Charles Robinson is the ref and I swear he has never aged. MVP tried to get Johnny to back out but no no avail. Omos distracted the ref so MVP could use his cane. Johnny got some decent offense in. End came when Johnny knocked MVP off the apron then walked into a choke slam.

Finn Balor cut a promo backstage vowing to beat Cody Rhodes tonight in a Charlottesville Street Fight.

Match 3. Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro with Zelina Vega vs Hit Row with B Fab. The woman got involved and it was turned into a six person match by Adam Pearce. LWO got the when Vega pinned B Fab.Top Dolla looks like he was dropped weight.

Match 4. L A Knight b Austin Theory. Big reaction for Knight who cut a promo to fire the crowd up but Theory interrupted him. He Theory asked a 10 year kid if he knew who John Cena was and the kid said no! Theory got heat on Knight but he made the big comeback and got the pin.

Intermission

Match 5. Ricochet b Karrion Kross with Scarlett who have a pretty cool entrance. Boy I could just imagine Ricochet in AEW. This was speed and agility vs power with Ricochet coming out on top in the end.

Match 6. A J Styles b Solo Sikoa. Big reaction for A J. Solo looks like a Star. Solo jumped Styles before the bell but he fought back. Solo would be in control then A J would fight back but just get shut down. Finsh saw Solo go for the spike but miss and Styles rolled him up for the pin.

Match 7. Charlottesville Street Fight. Finn Balor vs. Cody Rhodes.Fans chanted Cody before he even came out and he got the biggest reaction of the night coming out. And boy does he know how to play with the crowd. Weapons of choice included a kendo stick, steel chair and finally a table. Balor kicked out of a pedigree and a Cody cutter. Finally Cody superplexed Balor thru the table then hit the Crossrhodes for the win. Cody addressed the crowd after the win then stuck around for photos.

My choice for best match was Charlotte vs Asuka.
