A number of Impact executives and talents came out in the crowd to watch the announcement of Mike Tenay and Don West being inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame last night live in the Westchester County Center and it was a pretty emotional scene. Mike Tenay will be attending the Hall of Fame induction. Don West's wife has been invited but we are told that currently, she will not not be able to attend, but gave the promotion her blessing to induct him.
On a personal note, Don was truly one of the nicest, best people I ever met in life and I am so thrilled to see him being honored and without Mike Tenay as the lead announcer, there was no TNA. Tenay is a great, genuinely wonderful person and it is well past time he gets his appreciation as well. The duo were THE voices of TNA/Impact and their place in history can never be denied as one of the all-time greatest broadcast teams in wrestling.
There was interest in using Little Guido Maritato at today's Impact 1000 festivities but Maritato had a family commitment today.
Jason Hotch missed this weekend's events as he and his family are execting their first child this weekend. Our congratulations to the entire Hotch family.
ODB, who was advertised at one point for today's fan festival, will not be appearing.
There were some talents who had flight delays and issues getting into the White Plains airport for the shows due to weather in different parts of the country. White Plains is the smallest airport in the NYC vicinity and with less flights going there in general, when there's one issue, it stacks up. Everyone did eventually make it.
When Team 3D appears tonight, it is their first appearance as a team since 2016.
