Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing Impact Wrestling Victory Road PPV coverage from The Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY!

Jade Chung came out and welcomed the fans.

Matt Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan are the announcers.

Dave Penzer came to ringside.

Dirty Dango & Deaner & Kon vs. Rich Swann & Sami Callihan & Jake Something.

Swann and Dango started out with Swann shining early with a rana.  Callihan tagged in and kept working over Dango's arm.  Swann went for a splash but Dango pulled up his knees.  Swann was worked over in the corner.   Kon tagged in and worked over Swann for a long time. Dango continued the beating until Callihan got the tag.  Something tagged in but was caught with a big clothesline.  Kon chokeslammed Callihan and Swann.  Something confronted him and they battled.  Kon was clothesined over the top to the floor.  Something wiped out Deaner and scored the pin.

Your winner, Dirty Dango & Deaner & Kon vs. Rich Swann & Sami Callihan & Jake Something!

Good, solid six man tag.

Dave Penzer took over the ring announcing duties as they prepared to go on the air for the Countdown Show.

COUNTDOWN SHOW

Alan Angels Open Challenge

Angels challenged anyone and out came Guido Maritato, aka Little Guido!  He is local and got a nice pop.

Lots of good back and forth action before they faced off.  The crowd gave them a nice round of applause.  Angels caught Guido on the buckles and swept his legs, crashing him into the ring.  Guido was worked over but kicked out of several pinfall attempts.   Angels nailed a neckbreaker for another two count.    Guido made a comeback and nailed a dropkick for a two count.    Angels finally cut off Guido and scored the pin.

Your winner, Alan Angels!

They aired a video feature on PCO vs. Bully Ray.

They showed PCO walking through the parking lot.  A car struck him.  Bully Ray was driving.  He said it was anything goes but PCO will be lucky if he makes it to the ring tonight.  Well, Ouch.

ABC, Ace Austin & Chris Bey vs. Moose & Brian Myers.

Moose demanded a test of strength with Bey.  Bey outsmarted him and confounded Moose.  Moose avoided several takedowns but kicked Bey.  Myers tagged in and was happy to be in the ring until he was taken down.  At that point, he changed his mind.  ABC tagged in and out, working over Myers.  Bey nailed several chops but was caught with a knee from Moose as he rebounded across the ropes.  Moose and Myers controlled him and kept the ring cut off as they tagged in and out.

Moose chopped the hell out of Bey. He stepped on Bey's chest and tagged in Myers.  Bey was beaten until finally scoring with a superkick.  Bey tagged Austin, who cleaned house with some big moves.  He nailed a nice springboard missile dropkick on Moose.   After a miscommunication, Moose nailed a powerbomb on Austin.  Bey surprised Myers and scored the pin with a rollup.

Your winners, ABC!

Solid bout.  I wish they had more time.

They aired a video piece on Steve Maclin vs. Josh Alexander.

They ran down the remainder of the lineup to close out the Kickoff Show.

VICTORY ROAD 2023

X-Division Champion Lio Rush vs. KUSHIDA

Rush went right to the floor, playing mind games.  They went back and forth with Rush leaving the ring to try and mess with KUSHIDA's momentum.  He finally got snatched in the Hoverlock but went right to the ropes.  The referee counted so he dropped Rush on his face, kicked him hard, then slammed the champ.   KUSHIDA nailed a cartwheel into a dropkick.  They battled into the corner, where Rush ripped at his face, then slammed KUSHIDA into the buckles.

Rush pulled the challenger up but KUSHIDA dropped down, slamming his arm on the buckles.  KUSHIDA followed him to the floor, worked him over and tossed Rush back in.  He continued to focus on the arm.  Rush caught him in the corner and scored a two count.  Rush nailed a series of right hands.   Rush wanted to bring the title belt in but the referee reufsed.  The crowd chanted for KUSHIDA to make a comeback.  He began nailing a series of chops and kicks before rolling up Rush for a two count.

Rush came back with a big tope but was caught in the Hoverlock back inside the ring.  Rush went for the ropes but KUSHIDA pulled him to the center and re-applied the hold.  They went back and forth with a nice series of reversals before taking each other out.  The crowd gave them a nice round of applause.  They battled to their feet and exchanged forearms and elbow strikes.  Rush fired away with strikes and went to the top, nailing a big frog splash for the pin.

Your winner and still X-Division Champion, Lio Rush!

Good, physical match.
