GREAT TERRY FUNK PROFILE, NYC GIVES MADISON SQUARE GARDEN FIVE MORE YEARS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2023-08-28 17:44:00

Texas Monthly featured a piece on the late, great Terry Funk, who will be laid to rest later this week in Canyon, Texas.

You can check out by own tribute to Funk at this link.  He was the greatest professional wrestler of all time in my mind.

A number of readers have drawn the connection between WWE not selling replica NFL belts for the Jacksonville Jaguars and AEW.  I'd say that's a pretty good bet.

NYC's City Council has approved a new five-year permit for Madison Square Garden, WWE's most important venue historically, to continue to operate.  MSG was looking for a permit in perpituity, while others have pushed for MSG to be moved in order to more easily handle renovations to Penn Station, a major transportation hub that MSG sits above.  Thanks to Mike K as always.

The Boston Globe featured a piece on the new book about the legendary Dropkick Murphy.
