Spotlight Match: Eric Chacha vs El Jhonny Santos

This is a fun little babyface contest to kick the night off. Well, Chacha doesn’t want to dance so I guess that makes him a dirty heel. Cha Cha runs into an atomic drop but retorts with hard kicks to the gut and chest. Santos with a ripcord lariat, wheelbarrow rollup, Chacha slips the first pin attempt but gets caught with his shoulders down and Santos gets the win and Chacha is morally obligated to dance with him now. This was fun.

Winner: El Jhonny Santos

Why is Brad Baylor here? He’s gracing us with his presence…but not for a match. He’s joining commentary. Oh BOY.

Match 1: Ricky Smokes vs Kylon King (w/ Dustin Waller)

Yo.. Yoooooooooooo. This is gonna be good. Ricky is a cocky jock scum but the IWTV tag champ is tossing him around easily in the early

Moments. Monkey flip and Kylon tries to land on his feet and slips. Smokes just swarms on the King. Kylon tries to fight back, eats a slingshot spear for two. Kylon with Ana enziguri! Superplex! They take a moment to get to their feet. King with a lariat and missile dropkick! Northern lights out of the corner! Kylon misses a moonsault, Smokes fails to roll it up. Smokes tries another slingshot spear but eats a knee to the face! Ddt! Brain busssssster! Brad Baylor attacks Dustin Waller from commentary…Kylon flies out to save his partner. Huge German to Smokes should end it…Baylor breaks up the pin and draws the DQ!

Winner: Kylon King (by DQ)

Baylor and Smokes start stomping out Kylon King but Dustin makes the save and runs them off.

Match 2: Little Mean Kathleen Bakabella (w/ Sidney Bakabella & Teddy Goodz) vs JC Storm

LMKB is a married woman now and JC hopes to rain on her parade. Kathleen is in her wedding dress for this match. Amazing. Sidney and LMKB are just being gross with each other. JC would like to wrestle and is putting boots to the bride. Kathleen with stomps in the corner. “I LOVE YOU BOOGIE BEAR!” screams LMK as she hits a fisherman’s suplex for two. Samoan drop. Kickout! Kathleen is sad it was two. Bakabella trying to encourage her with his love and JC fires back up. Ripcord flatliner for two! Goodz hops onto the apron to distract JC. LMKB with a rollup and the win!

Winner: LMKB

Goodz grabs the mic and says he’s been sick of the NO RESPECT he’s got from Worcester. Bakabella? He’s the happiest man in the world. Because he’s got his beautiful bride…and that he gets to introduce WORLD CLASS CHANNING THOMAS.

Match 3: World Class Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella & Bobby Orlando vs Fancy Ryan Clancy & Bronson

So the winning team of this match face each other immediately in a 1-on-1 to determine the #1 contender for the Wrestling Open Championship! Can either of these teams stay on the same page long enough to secure a victory. Channing and Bronson seem more than happy to let their partners fight first and wear themselves out. Bobby and Clancy have some good exchanges before their partners get sick their good antics. Bronson with a blind tag and Clancy is MAD. Channing at least seems on Orlando’s side ENOUGH…for now. Bronson with a huge press slam to Bobby but he’s more concerned with yelling at Ryan and telling him how bad he is. Bakabella is starting to lose faith in Orlando. WHY HIM, he yells. Brian with a hard chop to Clancy to tag out. Clancy is NOT HAPPY with his partner right now and he chop tags him right back. Bobby with a cutter takes advantage of the discord. Channing tags in! Atomic drop and clothesline to Bronson! Bakabella calls for the piledriver but Bronson picks him up. Orlando tags in. World Class slam…Dab elbow misses. Clancy tosses Channing out. Bobby with the rollup but Clancy refuses to help his partner.

Winner: Bobby & Channing

Match 4: Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Bobby Orlando

 Channing with the immediate blind side. Bobby tries to throw punches. Channing comes running, almost posts him. Roll ups back and forth! We got a three count. Wait wait, both their shoulders were down so it was a double pin. What does this mean for the #1 contendership???

Winner: No Contest

Match 5: Brick City (Victor Chase & Julio Cruz) vs Rex Lawless & RJ Rude (Eliminator Cup Quarterfinal)

Cruz wants a test of strength against REX? Fool. Does he not know that Rex has pecs. RJ tags in, running senton. Back drop and Rex launches in with a flipping senton! Rex gets caught by the Bricks boys and the numbers game starts working against him. Double slam into the apron. Chase has the advantage and keeps the heat on. Lots of whips and punches but Rex with the fallaway slam sends Victor flying. Julio prevents the tag as RJ tries to hype his partner back up. Rex with a double suplex! Tag! Clothesline to Cruz! Corner cannonball! Michanoku driver! Lionsault! Chase Makes the save! Chase pops Rude up…Cruz with the spear!  They post Rex and set up RJ. BUSINESS IS BOOMING. The first half of Big Business makes the semis!

Winners: Brick City

Match 6: Danny Miles (w/ Steven Stetson) vs Alec Price 

This is a non-title match for the new IWTV champ. This is purely about revenge on the Stetson Ranch. Price is giving him NO QUARTER. Miles is just getting beat on and Stetson finally pulls his ranch hand out. Price distracted and Miles hits from behind. Big vertical suplex is impressive but Worcester lets him know Miles still sucks. Spinning side slam. Alec kicks out! Price firing up! One more time cause he’s trash! Superkick! Miles catches Price with a rebound spinebuster. That was cool. Alec catches Miles with a legdrop! He flies out at Stetson! Suuuuuprize kick to Miles! That’s the three!

Winner: Alec Price

Stetson attacks Price immediately. Miles chokes him down as Stetson grabs a chair. Stetson plants the chair over Price and pops a squat with the microphone. He has words for Price now that the top of the ranch is going to have to take care of this problem firsthand. Stetson hits the northern Jersey lariat and leaves the IWTV champ down and out in the center of the ring. 

Wrestling Open officials say that since Channing Thomas and Bobby Orlando didn’t result in a true winner…they will face each other again in two weeks. This is KIND OF disappointing as it kind of rugpulls the weight of the Stipulation match from earlier. 

Big Boofa Dezmond Cole is out here but Max Caster isn’t here tonight. Brad Hollister and TJ Crawford hit the ring and offers Cole a rematch if he gives TJ a rematch at the same time. Dan Barry hits the ring! This is a tag match!

Match 7: Big Business (Brad Hollister & TJ Crawford) vs Dezmond Cole & Dan Barry

Cole and Barry have the early advantage as Brad is down on the outside. TJ getting run over. Bacon trying to get back in it, blind tag to TJ and he BLASTS Cole with a running knee on a split. Brad dropping stomps and headbutts. Cole flips free and Dan Barry is here to chop this bacon. Neckbreaker ddt combo to the businessmen.  Cole dives over the ref to wipe out big business! Brain buster to TJ! Dan Barry lionsault! Kick out!  Brad boosts Dan off the apron! TJ tries to stack up Cole but Boofa split leg stuns him. TJ escapes the finish. Suplex bomb to Cole but Dan throw TJ like a torpedo to break up the pin! Dan trying to finish but TJ dodges, Bacon hits the jackhammer as Cole gets kicked and Big Business picks up the win!

Winners: Big Business

 

Match 8: Joe Ocasio vs Gal Barkay (No DQ)

No entrances, they start the fight backstage and spill into the room. These two are trying to kill each other again. Gal with a spinebuster. Joe escapes a powerbomb….big German! Flying headbutt! Kick out! Gal eats an electric chair! Gal pays back the German. Joe decks Gal with a ring rope and starts choking him. Joe is doing a CrossFit rope thing with Gal’s head in the middle. Wow. Running splash for two. Joe yelling at Gal before hitting a running powerslam…for two! Gal wants more! Joe has a medicine ball?!? He tries to give Gal a dose of his own medicine…in ball form…but fails. Not good ball control. Gal knows how to control his balls though and starts throwing it down on Ocasio over and over. Jeeeeeesus he looks in pain. Joe gets a door! Gal puts him through it! Gal gets another door…Osacio with a running headbutt after he hits the ropes….Joe hits a superplex! He goes for another but Gal hits the pendulum chokeslam! It’s not enough. Gal sets up another door but Joe low blows him and hits his snap spinebuster through a door in the corner for the win. I could watch these two kill each other every few weeks forever, thank you.

Winner: Joe Ocasio

Main Event: Ichiban(c) vs Ray Jaz (for the Wrestling Open Championship) 

It’s title vs streak! Can Ichiban be the first person to defeat Ray Jaz one on one at Wrestling Open?!? Or will Jaz get to 50-0 and become the face of Worcester wrestling? Ray shows his power early and just preens at the crowd that HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATES Him. Ichiban with a series of arm drags and the pressure of this match is clearly in Jaz’s head. He takes a long count on the floor to refocus. Back in and he’s dropping hard bombs to Ichiban…Ichiban with the one punches and clotheslines Jaz to the floor! Jaz catches a suicide dive and drops the champ on the stairs! Ray tries the cradle bomb, Ichiban with the sunset flip…Grabs with a butterfly pin but can’t get it. Ichiban trying to kick free of the beating but Jaz is staying on him. Jaz with a bear hug! Ichiban is screaming! The champ claps free! Side slams, Ichiban won’t stay down. Ray hits him on the top rope. Ichiban tries to launch in but comes right into a knee. Jaz muscles a vertical suplex. And another. Ichiban reverses the third! Ichiban dodges a body splash! Hard shots to the head of the Jersey legend! Handspring back elbow! Slingshot dropkick! Jaz to the floor and Ichiban torpedoes after him! Top rope elbow drop! Ichiban goes for the flatliner…Jaz tries the backslide…The champ hits a stunner for two! Superkick!  Kaz tries a rollup. He catches the flatliner and hits the cradle

Bomb…..ICHIBAN KICKS OUT! Ichiban dodges the Jazmission….reversals back and forth, ref Scott gets hit and drops as Ichiban hits the flatliner! Jaz is down for like 8 but ref bill hits the ref only for the last two. Ichiban tries a rollup…Jaz applies the Jazmission….it’s deep! Ichiban is gritting down and throws elbows to free himself. Ichiban off the top….caught into a dvd for two! Jaz is frustrated! Ichiban with a big boot…tornado ddt! He puts the Jazmission on Ray! is this the REAL JAZMISSION?!? Jaz crawls and gets the rope. Not jusssst yet. Ichiban trying for a superplex…Jaz drops him to the buckle…slingshot backslide pin…Jaz. Wins. F***.

Winn—

Pedro Dones is out here as the crowd tosses in more toilet paper into the ring. Thanks to Pedro, The ref realizes Jaz had his feet on the ropes during the backslide…the win is nullified! the match is going to continue!

A completely flustered Jaz turns away from Pedro and comes right into the Ichiban Kai! Jaz is downed! He’s down for three! ICHIBAN DID IT! RAY JAZ IS 49-1!!!!

Pedro and Ichiban have a brief staredown but Pedro gives the champ his belt and leaves a hero in Worcester (on this night). This was awesome.
