FORMER ECW OFFICE STAFFER TRISH SMITH PASSES AWAY

I am very sad to pass on the news that Trish Smith, one of the indispensible front office staffers for the original Extreme Championship Wrestling passed away this past Wednesday 8/2 following a battle with lung cancer.

Smith was second in command (or, really, second line of defense) for the late Debbie Beaumont, pretty much juggling every required job needed at the moment for ECW when it came to the preparation and operations of ECW live events, including the front of house duties like ticketing, guest list, passes, customer service and putting out fires as needed.    She was with ECW for most of its run and was with the company until it shuttered in 2001, but would occasionally assist on other ECW-related reunion ventures.

She was a really wonderful person and everyone at PWInsider.com sends our deepest sympathies and condolences to her family, especially her daughter.
