AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after AEW Dynamite from at the Yuengling Center in Tampa FL Our commentary team is Taz, Excalibur, and Chris Jericho.

Butcher, Blade and Kip Sabian w/Penelope Ford vs Keith Lee, Matt and Jeff Hardy

Jeff and Kip start off and Kip asks for a handshake. Jeff agrees and gets a kick to the gut for his stupidity. They run the ropes and Kip makes Jeff go to  the outside and mocks his dance. Jeff comes in the ring and gets a side Russian leg sweep. Jeff works over Kip's arm and tags in Matt. They set up for Jeff to jump off of Matt into Kip in the corner. 

Matt gets a scoop and a slam and then hits an elbow off the second rope. Matt tries for the twist of fate, but Kip drives him into the corner where Blade tags in and starts in on Matt. Matt gets a side effect on Blade for two. Matt is slung to the ropes where Butcher gets a shot at Matt’s back, allowing Blade to get the tag. Butcher chops Matt to the corner, whips him to the other corner, but Matt dodges the charge and gives Butcher an intro to each turnbuckle. 

Jeff tags in and hits a drop kick and Butcher tosses Jeff into hsi corner, where Jeff knocks Blade and Kip the floor.  Butcher comes in and takes control. Butcher muscles Jeff over the top rope. Blade and Kip work him over as Butcher distracts the ref. Jeff is rolled into the ring and Butcher goes back to work. They work over Jeff with quick tags through the picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Jeff is able to get a jawbreaker on Butcher and tags in Lee. Lee charges into Butcher and then Blade with Kip on his back, then launches Blade into Butcher and pulls Kip over top and slams him. He then yeet Kip into Butcher and Blade. 

Kip gets an insigiri and Lee answers with a power slam for two, broken up by Butcher. Matt comes in and takes out Butcher and Blade. Kip leaps at Lee, and Lee swats him out of the air. He then slams Kip from OVER HIS HEAD.  Jeff hits a swanton bomb on Kip for the pin and the win. 

Winners:  Keith Lee, Matt and Jeff Hardy

We then get a video of Roderick Strong throwing a tantrum on Wednesday when Adam Cole got the world title match. We then get a video package from The Kingdom talking about how Adam Cole betrayed them. 

We then get a video of the Young Bucks saying it’s time they get back to the tag team division, and the Hardys challenge them to a match on Wednesday. 

Anna Jay w/Angelo Parker and Matt Menard vs Skye Blue

Skye gets a side headlock takeover and they work to their feet and trade waistlocks and then break.  They lock up again and Skye gets a hip attack out of a waistlock. Skye gets a series of elbows and then gets a sidekick to Anna’s face. They fight in the corner and Anna hits a Jay kick to knock Skye to the floor as we go picture in picture.

When we return the full screen, Anna has Skye down and goes for the butterfly stretch with a knee in the back. Skye fights her way free and Anna whips her into the corner. Skye gets a back elbow and then a leap onto Anna. Skye gets a running knee strike, and snap mare and covers for two. 

Skye gets a surprise roll up for two. Anna gets a back heel kick and a flatliner for two.Anna pulls Skye up by her hair and tries for a queenslayer. Skye drops down out of it and rolls up Anna for two. Skye gets a thrust kick and follows up with a spinning side slam. 

Parker gets on the apron and Manard gets on the other side to distract the ref.  Parker motions for Skye to give him a kiss.  She slugs him instead. Anna grabs a queenslayer as Skye is distracted and Skye has to tap out.

Winner: Anna Jay

We then get a promo from Kris Statlander about her TBS title defense on Collision and she is squatting with Renee Paquette on her shoulders.

Swerve Strickland and AR Fox (w/Prince Nana) vs the already in the ring Logan Cruz and Tyshaun Prez

Cruz and Perez try to mock Swerve, and it doesn't go well for them as Fox takes them both out. Fox pins Cruz with a 450 in less time than his entrance took.

Winners: Swerve Strickland and AR Fox

Next up is QTV and I pass out from boredom.

We then get Big Bill, Prince Nana and Brian Cage talking about facing FTR tomorrow night. Brain Cage does a passable imitation of a highly controlled Scott Steiner. 

It’s now time for the Main Event in a parking lot with Tony Schaivone and Paul Wight. We are told that Pak is injured

Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) vs The Best Friends (Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor) Parking Lot Brawl

First man slammed into a car is Claudio by Chuck, and Mox goes after Trent with a fork. Chuck takes a suplex onto the hood of a car. Trent dives off the top of a car onto Mox. Claudio has pulled off a spoiler and uses it on Chuck and then Trent. Mox and Trent are both busted open. The Best Friends double suplex Claudio into a mini=van’s back door and then hit him with the spoiler and slam him under the hood of a car.  Mox then attacks and they put Trent on the car engine and slam the hood on him repeatedly, and they drop Chuck on the hood onto Trent. 

Mox gets a two count on Trent.

Claudio hits the big swing on Trent and Mox nails him with a trash can. Chuck is able to attack with a street sign and suplexes Claudio on the hood of the car. Chuck then grabs Mox’s fork and attacks him. Chuck takes a barricade section and sets it against a car. Mox then suplexes Chuck onto the barricade as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Claudio is smacking Trent with a street sign on the top of the car where they have a barricade set to catch him. Instead, Claudio is dropped onto it and Trent hits a senton on Claudio. Mox hits Chuck with a paradigm shift on the top of the car. Trent charges at Mox, and Clauido pulls him out of the way as Trent rams into the car. 

Claudio gorilla presses Trent on the top of a car and then joins him there. He tries to power bomb, but Trent fights out. Trent then hits a dudebuster on Claudio on the roof of the car. Mox tries to get a rear naked choke on Trent on the top of the same car. Trent escapes and they fight on the top of the car. Mox hits a deathrider on Trent into the windshield. 

Chuck shows with a flaming two by four wrapped in barbed wire and Wheeler Yuta shows up. Mox takes the two by four and nails Chuck in the gut with it, and Yuta goes after Chuck with a screwdriver. At that point, Chuck’s mom shows up in the mini-van with Oranger Cassidy on the roof. 

Cassidy takes out Mox and Claudio and wraps a chain around his hand, and he’s dropped by Claudio and they swarm Cassidy. Yuta hits a DDT on the minivan, and Claudio opens the door to the minivan and tells her to leave. Trent is then slammed head first into the  side of the can repeatedly. The BCC go after the minivan and Mox hits a curb stomp on Trent on the door they ripped off the van. Mox then hits a curb stomp on Trent into the windshield and Claudio gets the pin and the win.

Mox keeps attacking the minivan as we are desperately out of time!
