7/27/23 - Worcester, MA

It’s a small Southeast invasion tonight as both of ACTION Wrestling’s champions are in the house tonight! 

Spotlight Match: Sammy Diaz & Lucas Chase vs Jay Marston & Dustan Moseley

Sammy is on the receiving end of some big offense but Chase blasts a lariat from the ropes to drop Marston. Big side slam and hard kicks to the spine. This is a long heat segment. Marston finally hits a stomp and tags Moseley. Spinebuster to Sammy! Snake Eyes! Chase with a huge lariat and a doomsday blockbuster ends Moseley.

Winners: Diaz & Chase

And we’re live on IWTV! Paul Crockett and Alyssa Marino are on commentary! Rich Palladino is your announcer. I’m standing ringside (as I do). Let’s go!

Match 1: Uptown Andy Brown vs Fancy Ryan Clancy

Brown is just angry and brutalizing Clancy. He is just working the knee hard…Clancy did wear a brace on it. Huge knee breaker, single leg crab, backbreaker lariat. Clancy dodges the finishing blow, back body drop! He’s kicking the wheels out from under the big man. Brown powers out of the side Russian! Clancy stuns him with a dropkick and Brown staggers back into his grasp. Clancy checks his back for a moment as he hits the side Russian for the win.

Winner: Fancy Ryan Clancy

Clancy was right to check his six…Bronson slowly wanders in from the door and chokes out Clancy as he celebrates. “This is just a taste” says Bronson as the refs run down to check on Clancy. Ryan is out under his own power but he’s pretty shaken up by the attack.

Match 2: Delmi Exo(c) vs Rebecca J Scott (for the WxW Women’s Championship)

The God Queen trying to show her power but RJS is controlling her. Delmi is hyper confident about her chances but Scott is just trying to hold her down. Delmi with an Olympic slam and Scott shrieks in pain. Hard dropkick to the side of the ribs. Northern light for two. Exo just pie facing her challenger. Scott fires up again with heavy forearms…enziguri! Drive by knee for two! Delmi goes for the tombstone…RJS tries and octopus but Counters to a backbreaker! Exo eats buckle…double stomp to the back of the head! Exo kicks out! RJS winds up for the kill…Exo smashes a lariat and hits the package piledriver for the win. This was good. RJS is so much fun to watch and she brought a damn FIGHT to the champ.

Winner: Delmi Exo

Match 3: Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Richard Holliday 

Holliday and Thomas really working the crowd up back and forth. Channing gut kicks Holliday but almost loses to an immediate jackknife. THIS CLOSE, says Holliday. Channing unloading…Holliday backdrops him to the floor. The ref is distracted, Sidney tries to ambush Holliday but Sidney sucks at fighting. Holliday lays him out but it’s a trap. Channing blasts him with the brass knuckles and gets the win. Booooo.

Winner: Channing Thomas

Channing is going to hit a piledriver but Miracle Generation runs him off. A brief moment when they help Holliday up where he tries to fight them but he recognizes his friends at the last minute.

Match 3: Milk Chocolate (Brandon Watts & Randy Summers) vs Rex Lawless & RJ Rude (Eliminator Cup Opening Round)

Milk Chocolate with the unsurprising ambush before the bell. Rex gets posted. They try to pick off Rude as the weak link early but he’s a tough kid. Summers blasts a hard suplex and donks Rex off the apron again. RJ ok with the push off and a blockbuster! Tag to Rex! Lawless smash! Double fallaway slam to the succulent ones! They go for the finish but Summers crotches him on the top rope! They dump Rex out of the ring. They have RJ set up for the kill but he flips up, shoves Summers out of the ring and traps Watts for the pin! Yes!

Winners: RJ & Rex

Match 4: Big Business (Brad Hollister, Victor Chase, Julio Cruz) vs Kingsgate (Mason Myles, Chance Rizer, Patrick Scott)

I didn’t have Kingsgate getting any offense..but Rizer just HANDLES Victor Chace. Scott sends Brick City flying but Bacon is right there to hit a German and the assault begins. This is just an exercise in dirty tactics and constant cheating. Scott manages to escape, tag to Myles! He’s wiping out Brick City! Huge bulldog to Cruz! Rizer lariats Victor! Myles with a rana…Bacin sent flying! Elbow drop to Julio for two! Big Business swarms on Rizer and Myles. Business is booming to Scott and Big Business closes another deal. 

Winners: Big Business 

Match 5: Ray Jaz vs Love Doug

My ribs are sore from booing Ray Jaz. I needed that. Doug comes in hard but Jaz with a corner spear and takes over. Doug trying to fight but Jaz is just beating on the Cupid to spite us. This is 90% Ray giving a beatdown while the crowd jeers him. Doug finally with the reversal and posts Jaz. Bulldog! Slice of Love! Jaz dodges the Rebound…Doug tries another slice of love but Jaz hits the cradle bomb for the win. 

Winner: Ray Jaz

Jaz says nothing can stop him and he puts Doug in the Jazmission….he wants the Wrestling Open championship…Ichiban comes out to make the save but Ray threatens to break Doug’s neck if he comes in the ring. Pedro Dones comes out to mediate and gets Jaz to let the hold go. Jaz takes a stomp at Ichiban who retaliates and wipes out Dones. Jaz gets out of there as Dones and Ichiban work out the miscommunication. They don’t shake hands but Pedro is clearly riding the middle of this feud.

Steven Stetson is out here. Oh great. He calls out Alec Price and says he THOUGHT he was gonna get his hands on Danny Miles. But he has another thing coming. Stetson went searching down south and brought in Action Wrestling Champion Adam Priest to take down the Northeast Beast. I guess Stetson didn’t watch WRESTIVAL 2021 when Price handled ol’ any style previously. 

Match 6: Alec Price vs Adam Priest (w/ Steven Stetson)

Price sends Priest flying early. A dive wipes out the big stupid cowboy. Priest thrown back in but he distracts the ref. Stetson trips up Alec on the ropes. Priest with a snap ddt to the apron and he starts unloading. Price eats mat on a cross body. Big back elbow from Priest as Stetson celebrates. Stetson even lets adam wear his cowboy hat while he lays in the beat down. Price coming back to life. Hard discus chop! Knees! One more time cause he’s trash! Priest dropkicks the emergency leg drop out of the air. Spike into the middle buckle for two! Priest wants the snap ddt but Price won’t let it. Alec rebounds out of the corner..emergency leg drop! Suuuuuprize kick! Priest is done!

Winner: Alec Price

Match 7: Culture Inc (Eli Knight & Malik Bosede w/ Nick J Holliday) vs Shook Crew (Bobby Orlando & Bryce Donovan) 

I envy Worcester right now getting to see Culture Inc for the first time. Malik trying to unload on Bryce early but the big man just throwing hard shots, big elbow drop…Eli is throwing shots from the outside to help his partner. Malik turns him inside out with a dropkick. Eli in to match size with the one lunged Angel. Culture Inc just double teaming Bryce to death but he flapjacks Eli into Malik and tags to Bobby. Sick tricks incoming! Lariat flips Eli for two! Back stabber! They try the virtue signal…Malik runs interference! Bryce is isolated and dropped. Eli hits a PERFECT moonsault! Kick out! Bryce trying for the chokeslam…he slams Emi into Malik again! Virtue signal to Eli for the pin! 

Winners: Shook Crew

Match 8: Marcus Mathers vs TJ Crawford

I suspect this match is going to rule. <5 minutes pass> It does. I don’t wanna type. Just watch it. Ok ok. it’s pretty back and forth. Hard hitting and aggressive as hell, I am enjoying the hell out of this. Marcus hits a huge package powerbomb. TJ with a lariat and tries a standing kimura! Marcus runs him into the buckles! Boots back and forth! Double down as we hit one minute left! TJ grabs the hair…Marcus comes off the corner and TJ spin kicks his head off for the three. This was fan damn tastic. Watch this back.

Winner: TJ Crawford

Main Event: The Caster Campaign (Max Caster & JGeorge) vs Miracle Generation(c) (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) for the IWTV Tag Team Championships 

Max Caster is still running for mayor of Worcester. They try to ambush the champs but it’s a thing they are prepared for. Dustin gets dropped on the outside and Kylon is eating the heat right now. JGeorge working over the strongest neck on the indies as much as he can. Caster taking cheap shots. They could get the pin but Dustin pulls Max off the pin. Kylon flips free…dive over…throwing bombs! Double ddt! Tag to Waller! Superkicks! Cross body! Waller going wild! Double handspring cutter! JGeorge sent flying…Max is left alone with the champs and they try Chasing the Dragon…JGeorge with the intercept! Max and JG alllll over Kylon! Huge swanton bomb almost ends this. Max is furious and tries to blame his partner for not getting the job done. This is about to explode but Kylon wakes up and hits a double northern lights. MG set up the Powerplex…JGeorge with the save and powerbombs Kylon….Waller with the splash and pin…Max comes off the top and wipes out REF GINA??? Hard low blow to Waller and he drapes JGeorge over him…but Gina is VERY out. Max tries to use Gina’s hand to do the three count but Dustin kicks out! Max grabs the IWTV title belts…JGeorge goes for the kill but blasts Max! Kylon runs in…Powerplex to JGeorge as Gina comes back to life! Dustin flies out at Max as Kylon picks up the three count!

Winners: Miracle Generation

So who is Ichiban going to face at Americanrana? Returning to Worcester? ORTIZ!!!
