We start off with a look back at last week when Dominik Mysterio became the North American Champion by defeating Wes Lee.
North American Champion and Women's Champion Rhea Ripley make their way to the ring.
Rhea says just like she constantly says, THE Judgment Day runs all of the WWE. Finn is going to be the new Heavyweight Champion and Damian Priest is Senor Money in the Bank. Dom says that Mami is the greatest Women's Champion. Rhea mentions that Dom is the North American Champion. All of the people are crying while the women are screaming.
Dom says he finally made the Mysterio name relevant.
Rhea says as for Lyra Valkyria, you want to step to her and get in her face? It is very courageous of you.
Wes Lee's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
He says he is not taking this any more. He is sick of seeing his North American title in Dom's hand. For 257 days that title mean hard work and opportunity. That title made him a better person. To lose the title the way he did, TO YOU, he wants his rematch.
Rhea says a new North American Champion is what NXT needed.
Wes says they need a new North American Champion . . . tonight.
Mustafa Ali shows up and he interrupts. He says he has love and respect for Wes, but you Dumb Dumb, I have no love and respect for him. You stole the title from him. You stole catchphrases, you stole your daddy's 619, and your other daddy's frog splash. That was his title to win, but that fool dropped the ball.
Wes stops Ali and Ali tries to apologize. Ali says he is angry and frustrated. He was in line and Dom cuts in line. Ali blames Wes for letting Dom have the match. Ali tells Wes he told him not to do it.
Dom says this is a you problem. Dom says he doesn't care who makes it to the Bash and Rhea says he could face both of them.
Dom avoids Ali but Ali hits Wes. Wes with a double leg take down while Rhea and Dom get out of the ring.
Wes and Ali push each other.
McKenzie is with Tony and Channing.
Tony says he will never forget the reception he got from the fans.
Channing says they reclaim the streets of NXT Sunday when they win the titles.
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price says that they will hear their names if you win the titles on Sunday.
Tony asks Bronco and Lucien if they want to make a name for themselves and he will see them tonight.
We take a look at how we got Lyra Valkyria versus Rhea Ripley.
Lyra is with McKenzie and she asks why did she ask for this match.
Lyra says she has been here for seven months and she needs to know where she stands. She saw what Rhea did going from NXT UK to the main roster. She is not going to wait for anyone else in the back to prove herself.
Match Number One: Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, and Rip Fowler (with Ava) versus Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and Ilja Dragunov
Hayes and Gacy start things off and they lock up. Gacy with a wrist lock and take down. Hayes with an escape. Gacy with a leg sweep and Hayes with a leg sweep for a near fall. Hayes with a drop kick and chop. Trick tags in and Trick with a drop kick. Gacy with a forearm and he tags in Rip. Trick with punches and Rip with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Trick blocks a hip toss and he slams Rip. Trick with a shoulder tackle and a pop up uppercut. Ilja tags in and he works on the arm and chops Rip followed by a back senton. Ilja with punches and an Irish whip. Ilja with a knee into the corner followed by a knee drop off the turnbuckles. Ilja with a waist lock and Rip with a wrist lock and he backs Ilja into the corner.
Jagger tags in and misses a clothesline. Ilja with a German suplex and he holds on for a second one. Jagger with elbows to block a third German suplex. Ilja with Konstantin Special and Trick tags in. Trick with forearms and an Irish whip. Jagger with a kick and clothesline. Jagger punches Hayes on the apron and that draws him into the match. Rip and Jagger go for a double suplex but Hayes blocks it and they hit springboard clotheslines. Hayes tags in and he tries to kick Jagger but he backs away. They lock up and Jagger with a wrist lock and Irish whip but Hayes floats over and connects with an arm drag and drop kick.
Hayes with a side head lock and Rip tags in and kicks Hayes in the back. Jagger sends Hayes throat first into the ropes. Rip pulls Hayes to the floor and hot shots him on the apron. Rip with a European uppercut and he puts Hayes on the apron and connects with an elbow to the throat. Rip with forearms and he gets a near fall. Rip punches Hayes and Carmelo goes to the apron. Hayes with a shoulder and he tries for a sunset flip but Rip holds on to the ropes. Jagger tags in and he kicks and punches Hayes. Jagger with a reverse chin lock. Jagger gets a near fall. Jagger with a clothesline and he keeps Hayes from making the tag. Jagger with a reverse chin lock.
Hayes with punchers and a kick to Jagger. Hayes with a thrust kick and Trick tags in. Gacy tags in and Trick with punches. Trick with a drop kick and a jumping knee. Trick and Gacy with a flapjack. Trick clotheslines Gacy over the top rope and Ilja tags in and he takes care of Jagger and Rip. Ilja goes to the floor and he goes for Torpedo Moscow on Gacy but he moves and Ilja sends Trick into the steps. Gacy sends Ilja into the ring and Gacy goes for the handspring clothesline but Ilja with a knee. Gacy with a waist lock and Ilja with knees. Gacy with a Saito suplex for a near fall. Jagger tags in and he punches Ilja. Rip tags in and Ilja kicks Jagger and punches RIp. Ilja with chops to Jagger and Rip. Ilja with a kick to Jagger and Jagger with an enzuigiri while Rip holds Ilja. They hit a power bomb and neck breaker combination. the masked men pull Jagger and Rip off the apron while Gacy misses a splash.
Ilja sets for Torpedo Moscow but Hayes tags in and hits Nothing But Net for the three count.
Winners: Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov, and Trick Williams
After the match, Hayes has some words for Ilja.
Hayes holds Trick back from Ilja.
We take a look at a brawl between Blair Davenport and Roxanne Perez at a convenience store. We will see more footage later.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a Tiffany Stratton video package. She says that she is "IT'. She says she is this fab at age 24 and she is nowhere near her prime. She is the epitome of what a women's champion is. She is better than anyone else. The Great American Bash is her first Pay Per View as champ and she isn't going to lose it to a 19 year old. Thea has a lot of energy and she might run to Texas, but she is not going to win the title. Tiffany says she did not tap out. Her hand grazed the mat a few times but she did not tap out. She gave the people what they wanted by giving Thea a rematch. It is despicable to ask for a submission match. Bring whoever you want because after the Great American Bash, the world will revolve around her and she will still be champ.
The North American Title Match at the Great American Bash will be a Triple Threat Match.
Match Number Two: Von Wagner versus Javier Bernal
Bernal with knees and punches. Von sends Bernal into the corner and hits a splash. Von sends Bernal into the turnbuckles and he follows with punches. Von with a boot and punches. Von with a uranage for the three count.
Winner: Von Wagner
After the match, Von sees Bernal laying next to the announce table. Von gestures that someone is going through the table and he takes the hood off. Von power bombs Bernal through the table.
Bron Breakker attacks Von from behind. Bron with punches and then he goes under the ring and he gets a chair. Bron swings at Von but misses on the floor. Referees come out and take the chair and hold their arms out to stop him.
Gable Steveson walks in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back and Ilja Dragunov is walking in the back. Carmelo stops him and says things are done between them until the match.
Trick shows up and pushes Ilja.
Ilja says it was collateral damage and he says he is trying to show some respect. If he comes at him, he will break Ilja.
Hayes tells Trick he has him on Sunday and they need to act professional.
Gable Steveson makes his way to the ring.
He thanks everyone in NXT. He says many of you might not know who he is. He says he wants to introduce himself. He tells everyone he is Gable Steveson. He says he is a 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist and a two time NCAA Champion. He says he could become the first two time Olympic Gold Medalist in American history. He could go back to college to become a three time NCAA Champion. Or he can make his decision right now.
Gable is interrupted by Baron Corbin. He tells him to be careful what he says. It could determine your entire future. Baron wants to give Gable some advice. He tells Gable to go back to college and win another championship. Go back to the Olympics to become a two time gold medalist. He tells Gable not to come to NXT. If you do, he will make Gable do something he hasn't done before . . . fail. Look where you are standing. This is not amateur wrestling. This ring will humble you and you will question your existence to the point where you walk up to an Olympic Gold Medalist and tell them they don't belong.
Baron says he has been doing this for eight years and he does not care. This is a different game and you are swimming with sharks. Baron says he is a great white and he is starving and he smells blood.
Gable says Baron made his decision that much easier. Gable suggests that he face Baron in his first match at the Great American Bash. Gable with a German suplex and an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

Cora Jade walks in the back as we go to commercial.
