Paul Crockett and Kingpin Brian Milonas are on commentary tonight! Rich Palladino is your announcer. I hear that the Mane Event beat Sammy Diaz and Lucas Chase in the spotlight match earlier…but NOW, Ray Jaz is out here to steal the microphone from Rich He’s 47-0 in singles competition at Open. The audio mix is great here…you can really hear the crowd’s disdain for him. He runs down his former partner Pedro Dones for missing his shot against Ichiban a couple weeks back…but promises he’ll be calling HIS shot before the night is over when he is 48-0.
Match 1: Ray Jaz vs LSG
I’ve seen LSG a few times recently at FIGHTT Pro so I’m kinda stoked to see his debut here. Unfortunately for him, LSG is being fed to Ray Jaz tonight. Even Paul Crockett calls out this booking debut trend by the “sadists” on the Wrestling Open booking committee. LSG keeping Ray on his toes with some Misdirection and an enziguri. Jaz pops him up into a snake eyes and blasts a dropkick. Ray is trying to wear LSG down as the crowd gives that low-tone rayyyyyyyymonnnnnd. LSG with a cross body to stop Jaz’s train…but he springboards right into a quick Jazmission and has to immediately tap in about 4 minutes. Boo.
Winner: Ray Jaz

Match 2: Delmi Exo(c) vs Tiara James (for the WxW Women’s Championship)
Delmi recently won this prestigious German championship from Ava Everett and has brought it here to show off alongside her MLW Women’s championship. Tiara’s had plenty of impressive showings at Open but I suspect she’s doomed against the God Queen, who is making her first defense of this belt. Tiara showing off here, great looking gutbuster on the shoulder for two. Exo just firing back and crumbles James but only gets two. Swinging fisherman’s buster. Tiara out of the corner with clotheslines but Exo just seats then off. Tiara with a spinebuster for two! Exo hits a head kick..shotgun off the top for two. Tiara locked into a deep crossface and Delmi isn’t letting her go anywhere…tap tap tap.
Winner: Delmi Exo

Match 3: Griffin McCoy vs Fancy Ryan Clancy
McCoy has been punching his way up the ladder here so let’s see how he does against the fancy man. Griffin trying to trade holds with Clancy but this may not be the right strategy against a man who beat Zack Sabre Jr….and that roll to the floor suggests he needs a rethink. McCoy with some heavy kicks puts Ryan on his back. McCoy puts on an abdominal stretch that also puts some strain on a knee that Clancy has in a thick knee pad. Clancy back with a couple of arm drags after the ref stops Griffin using the rope for leverage. Clancy eats a huge powerbomb for two. Griffin unloading hard shots…Clancy puts on the brakes as McCoy tries an up and over and blasts the side Russian for the win!
Winner: Fancy Ryan Clancy
Clancy on the mic. He calls out Bronson, who disappeared seemingly right after as got in Clancy’s face. Ryan lays down a challenge to the iron savage for NEXT WEEK. Will Bronson show up?
Match 4: Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & BRG) vs Hispanic Mechanics (Jos A & Jos B) (Eliminator Cup Opening Round)
The Ranch comes out doing the FULL Mechanics entrance, music and all. The crowd hates them…even more so now. BRG says this all happened because the only team that cannot be replicated is the Ranch. Cue the Mechanics coming out to the Stetson Ranch theme, dressed as cowboys. This might be the first time I’ve heard the Ranch theme as positive things. This is kind of amazing. Great bit. The Mechanics have tiny cowboy hats on underneath the big cowboy hats. Hahahahaha. For the Mechanics! BRG almost loses immediately when B points a plastic gun at him. Stetson can’t take it as the crowd sings for the Mechanics…and his lack of focus leads to an atomic drop and airplane spin. BRG gets caught up and the ranch is turned into a literal pony show. BRG with a knee to the back and rams A I to the apron and the ranch finally takes charge. A takes a beating, hot tag to B who hits a corner splash and rocker dropper to BRG. A gets posted! B with a F5 to BRG! Stetson catches B with a shot to the side of the head as he goes for a moonsault…BRG with the Unprettier and gets the three. The crowd hates this. I hate this. F*** the ranch.
Winners: Stetson Ranch

Match 5: Joe Ocasio vs Gal Barkay
Two weeks ago, these two damn near killed each other. This goes right to a brawl. Gal sent outside and Joe hits a hard shoulder block off the apron. Barkay with a spear through the curtain! Spinebuster for two. Gal trying to throw him out of the ring like last time, Joe with a reversal and posts him. Running knee! Tornado bomb…Gal is out at one! Running splash! Out at two! Ocasio keeps coming as Paul Crockett reminds us that Gal Barkay’s 2023 at Wrestling Open is on the line tonight. Barkay with a big boot and German! Powerbomb into the apron! Shotgun dropkick off the top! Blue Thunder bomb for two! Like last time, this is absolutely insane. Ocasio with a pop up spinebuster. Lots of torque on it but it’s not enough. Running headbutt….Ocasio hits the powerslam off the top but Gal is right back up and hits the pendulum chokeslam for the win! Ocasio finally takes a L and he’s furious! He hits an electric chair drop on Gal as he celebrates. He grabs a chair and tries to stomp it on his neck. The refs run out to stop this as commentary is s already talking about Round 3.
Winner: Gal Barkay

Match 6: Dezmond Cole vs Big Bacon Brad Hollister
Hollister is mad at Cole because he used the word “big” to describe his win over Tyree Taylor. Bacon drops Cole and makes the mistake of taunting the crowd. Cole uses the chance to fire up and just lights up Bacon with hard shots. Hollister isn’t messing around now but Cole is on his game and keeps taking it to him. Hard chops through the crowd as the people chant for Boofa. High cross body for two! Bacon with the hot shot and the tide turns immediately. Big German flattens Cole as Bacon tries to steal a version of the Boooooofah call and response. Running senton. Brad just talking right into the camera and his confidence is back. Cole fighting off a choke…flip out of a back suplex and hits one of his own! Forearms and a sweep…capo kick! Bacon catches a cross body but Cole transitions to a crucifix bomb for two! Bacon tries the jackhammer…Cole is out! Huge superkick sequence! Bacon kicks out again! Cole trying a rolling clothesline but Bacon catches him into a powerbomb for two! Bacon firing back up, double clothesline! We just hit the ten minute mark and this WOULD have been a time limit draw. Bacon telling that Cole isn’t on his level. Dezmond runs in…eats a knee. Back. Hits the jackhammer…COLE KICKS OUT!!! Bacon tries again but Cole fights out….suplex! Cole is ready to end it….Brick City is out to distract! Bacon tries rollup but Cole is ready! Swanton bomb! Kickout at two! Brick City rolls their leader out but Boofa with a dive to them all! Bacon is on the ropes…Cole is about to launch back in but Brick City grabs the foot…it’s enough for Bacon to run over and hits a second jackhammer for the win. That number games of Big Business.
Winner: Brad Hollister

Match 7: Channing Thomas, Max Caster & JGeorge (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Rarified Generation (Richard Holliday, Kylon King & Dustin Waller)
Max is still running for Mayor of Worcester. Just so you don’t forget. So Max is really laying into his potential constituents and laying down some no jeering rules. Worcester “loves” it. Dustin Waller wins the RPS against Kylon and Holliday to see who starts the match…with scissors. Appropriate. Miracle Generation starting hot and it takes a cheap shot from Channing & Caster to get any sort of advantage. Richard with the quick tag in and taking care of everyone. Crockett talking about Holliday being a trainer for the Miracle Generation while Milonas is saying what I’ve been thinking “this isn’t the Richard Holliday I remember”. The Caster Campaign takes over on Holliday but he flips free and gets to Waller! Waller comes in and maybe hurts his knee…..Channing right in to torture that limb. Caster trying to keep it up but Dustin hits a Destroyer! Tag to Kylon! King is tossing JGeorge at will! Channing with a shot from behind but Kylon hits a double northern lights! Brain buster! Caster saves the pin! Caster’s legs get stretched and Waller hits a legdrop right into the scissor. Bakabella grabs Holliday’s foot…Channing pulls him out…they fight into the back! Max tries to kick Dustin low but MG hits a double superkick! They try for the Powerplex…JGeorge intercepts as Bakabella passes a title belt to Caster and he blasts Waller for the win. Booooooo! Good match but boooooooo!
Winners: Max Caster, JGeorge & Channing Thomas

Main Event: Ichiban(c) vs Gabriel Skye (for the Wrestling Open Championship)
Skye is finally getting the opportunity that he earned but keeps getting pushed out of the way of. The crowd is here for both guys but you can feel how much Skye wants to make this count. Ichiban trying to slow down Skye early, tone down some of that fire…Ichiban doing his best to show why he’s the champ but a fake out angers Gabriel and Strong Spirit is throwing heavy. Ichiban using that fire against him again, tossing Skye around with arm drags. Pile of one punches. Ichiban going for something big on the top….Skye catches him and side slams Ichiban into the top buckles. Big suplex for two! Skye is all over the champ with hard kicks and chops and trying to take what he wants. Skye keeps the pressure on. Two Germans, Ichiban rolls up the third but his back is messed up and he can’t rally like he wants to. Ichiban with a spinning ddt! Kick out! Butterfly German from Skye for two! Ichiban dodges the finishing knee…Skye is ready for the flatliner…double cross body car crash drops the both! Trading shots back and forth…Ichiban with a superkick! Skye with a pop up bomb! Skye locks in the spirit breaker and sits into it…Ichiban finds a way free! But Skye is just blasting kicks. Northern lights! Ichiban reverses a brain buster to a stunner…Gabe blocks the flatliner…he goes for a spear but Ichiban catches that into the flatliner for the three! This was a blast.
Winner: Ichiban

Battles like these only make Ichiban a stronger champion. Thanks you ???????? #Respect #WrestlingOpen
~NumberOneDojo https://t.co/NbptK4PAMR
Gabe and Ichiban with the shake and hug of respect as the crowd applauds for this battle. Ichiban is celebrating as Ray Jaz flies into the ring and attacks the champ. Poor Ichiban just keeps having a bad time with how challengers present themselves, huh? Jaz has the mic. He’s 48-0 and he’s calling his shot. Gabe Skye runs back to the ring. Jaz at least has the respect to toss the title belt back and says he’s going to win it…unlike Skye.
Nights like tonight put into perspective how hard we've worked and how lucky we are to have something that very few in pro wrestling will ever get to experience. #WrestlingOpen pic.twitter.com/cf0Mwx44pL
